The tortillas stayed perfectly crispy even with the generous amount of fresh green salsa, and the cheese was melted throughout just right. The rice and beans were also flavorful and tasted truly home-cooked. Even the complimentary chips and salsa tasted fresh - you can tell nothing here comes from a can. My boyfriend and I just picked up food from here and it was 60 dollars for beans and rice, one enchilada and one taco. I have never been so disappointed with food before. The lack of flavor in the food makes it unrecognizable to what it is supposed to be. The carnitas tacos were basically just fat with hardly any meat the beans were over cooked and tasted burnt and the enchilada was dry flavorless and tased like straight tomato paste. On top of that we asked for verde and it was red... to top it all off it took an excessive amount of time for the food to be done and ready to go. Yes the plates they use here are huge. Yes the portions look huge. Yes they charge you as if the portions were huge. No the actual amount of food they give you is not a lot. It felt like the people that work there are not trying the food themselves because the beans were extremely over salted and the salsa had no salt at all. This is one of our favorite spots, we enjoy everything on the menu, and have been coming here for awhile. Even during COVID when we had to eat outside. The distanced the tables and added partitions. Everything was going well until we notice we were getting some small type of flies in our food, clothes and they were everywhere and even on my toddler they were on her !!!! At that moment, we stopped eating because that was just nasty. We got our bill and told them about the flies they have. The lady said "you should of ate inside then" . They didn't apologize or anything! There was a couple outside too and they notice the little flies too and decided to leave too. If they are going to have outdoor sitting, make sure you find a way to keep the flies or anything from peoples food! Definitely don't recommend eating outside if you decide to go!!!! This place cute and charming, food is fresh and authentic. It is a small place but thankfully have outdoor seating as well due to covid, so you're in luck even if the inside is full. Before taking my kids to Adventure City we decided to grab a bite to eat. I drove down the street looking for a decent place and so I spotted this restaurant. The food was delicious and the customer service was excellent. It is small, but oh man does it look great once you walk in. My 3 year old saw a picture of a Margarita and of course she wanted one, because of the color. The waitress went out of her way by serving my toddler agua de jamaica on glass with a straw and an orange as decoration. My toddler loved it. Today my wife and i were driving around looking for somewhere to have lunch close to the body shop we were picking her mom's car up from and couldn't find anywhere to eat (that we wouldn't get sick from or shot in the parking lot), until we saw this place though! So I've driven past this place on Beach Blvd in Stanton hundreds of times without giving our a second glance. But today after all the other places, this place looked clean and inviting so I made a uturn and decided to give it a shot. Walking up I could hear loud ranchera music and it made me feel like i was walking into a little cantina in Ensenada, was greeted immediately by a cheerful waitress and sat down in the inside dining area (they also have a patio seating area). The dining area and kitchen were quite clean, and we were immediately brought chips and salsa with our menus. I ordered the wet pastor burrito plate and jamaica (the jamaica was incredible), and my wife had the chicken tacos. When the waitress brought the food out, my wife and I literally said "WOW" as she put the food on the table! My burrito was huge and was served with a side of rice and beans (the rice had fresh various in it which i love), my wife's tacos were pretty large and looked delicious. The whole presentation was way better than either of us expected. Upon cutting into my burrito, i found that it was packed with fresh, juicy, el pastor with sauteed onions and peppers and it was Soooo good! My wife offered up a taste of her taco and i was equally impressed! Our total bill was $20 and neither of us could finish our food and left completely stuffed! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that i wasn't impressed with the salsa for the chips, but everyone has their own tastes in salsa, I'll definitely be going back! read more

However, the music is too loud & the management needs to make some improvements on the facility... The pork chile verde is very good but on the salty side. The eggs, rice, beans & flour tortillas were good. The suicide Burrito was delicious. My kids liked their eggs & bacon but they didn't like their pancakes---the batter didn't have a good flavor. The complimentary chips were good & all their salsas were delicious. The coffee, horchata & orange juice were ok. I noticed most people were having the shrimp cocktails & mariscos & they looked very good. The menu also has a wide selection of delicious looking drinks & they have good specials throughout the week. The restaurant is clean with quaint Mexican beach theme decor & big-screen TVs. We just didn't care for the big speaker set up playing very loud Cumbia music. It sounded like we were inside a nightclub. We also had an unstable table & good thing none of our drinks or food tilted over. We didn't care for that.
