The food is definitely not something to come try here the coctel de camarón tasted like water it literally had no flavor at all! The Aguachiles was so spicy that my face was tingling, eyes were crying and mouth was on fire I couldn't even finish half! We sent back the coctel de camarón and the service was so rude as if we did something wrong asked what do you want ? With a nasty attitude and hand gesture, so we replied nothing and just paid our bill and left. The ambiance was dark, fans blowing at full speed napkins blowing away, no A/C, bathroom was locked the entire time we were there. This place was expertly packaging Pozole, Sopa Siete Mares, and Caldo De Camarón (our family's favorite greatest hits from this place) before takeout-only-because-of-COVID was even a thing. The food is authentic and the staff goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need for your to-go Mexican feast. I honestly question if we are talking about the same restaurant or if I've just fallen victim to my food delusions again (don't judge, yelper - he who lives in a glass house and all that). The food is delicious, prices low, and the staff is super friendly. We got the nachos and a platter with fish, meat, grilled chiles, and a side of fresh tortillas, rice and beans (plus a cup of salsa - a big cup). I also got a large watermelon agua fresca (fresh juice-smoothie middle ground deliciousness for you novices). The nachos are God's precious gift to lovers-o-nachos. Seriously. I personally prefer the creamy nacho cheese sauce as opposed to melted cheese (call me a purist) and theirs is legit. I kind of want another order right now. The platter was just altogether awesome. Fish, meat, chiles, soft lovely tortillas - yeah. Awesome. AND again, the watermelon water was crazy good. CRAZY. GOOD. PEOPLE. Haven't had a huge array of the food here, but I will say that the Aguachiles here are DELICIOUS. They use the giant shrimp, like prawns, and they are so tender. I wish they would cut the pepino into it smaller pieces instead of thick slices, but it's still good. The ahuacate is also always fresh. We visited this lace last week and enjoyed the food so much. We watched a group of young men enjoying a few beers and a large seafood bowl, and we knew we had to come back and try the seafood. Went in and ordered the Cancun fresh juice and it was delicious! A mix of pineapple, banana and other fruit and it was one of the best juices I've ever had! My man got aguachiles. The shrimp was a good size the only thing was the shrimp was a little raw; seemed like it needed more time to be in the lime. But good flavor. Their chips and salsa are delicious! The salsa was very good I had to take some home lol! And I got the pollo a la plancha dish. Horrible customer service. We placed a delivery order. They didn't add all the condiments that came with the dish. No utensils. And made one of the dished incorrectly. When I called the lady that answered agued with me that the spoons were in the bag and I was looking right in the bag. Then I never got my correct dish. Amazing food, good prices, good people, and telenovelas! 90 cent tacos----EVERYDAY! (Al pastor & carne asada= my fave here. They serve 'em street taco/roach coach style i.e. the best.) Get the machete tacos. Huge and filled with beef and cactus. You thought cactus would hurt in your mouth, but you won't get enough the way these wonderful ladies roast it up and throw down some grilled onions with slab of carne and avocado y queso blanco sprinkled on top! You will want cactus on everything, even cereal. They always try to get me to indulge in the margaritas during my lunch, but instead I tell them I'm going to stick to the tacos so I can keep up in my return to the corporate world. Last time I got 7 tacos- terrible idea, but so worth the "itis/food coma" afterwards. Hopefully your self-discipline will kick in when you walk in here, unlike mine. read more

First of all let me start by saying that this place has been here for years and I only stopped in a week or so ago and wow. 85 cent street tacos does the trick. And they have the most amazing salsa that is served with chips. Street tacos they have include Asada, Pollo, Cabeza, Lengua, Carnitas(amazing) , Pastor and Chorizo. When I got them there was 8 to10 little cubes on each mini taco with red sauce (a drip) instead of green like I asked for. Are you kidding me? Wow, so I am thinking it's between 8-10 cents per meat piece! I have had mini tacos before and could never count the pieces of meat. No one ever came back to ask how things were. I generally hate Mexican food, it's always too spicy for me and they never have what I want. I might need to get a pregnancy test bc I was craving flauntas and ceviche. They had both! I was pretty sure I was going to have to hit up the Peruvian place for ceviche mixto but this place had it. Got my grub to-go after reading other reviews about the noise and service. While waiting for my food to be cooked it wasn't too noisy and it appears as thought the juke box is customer selection but not too loud. Grabbed my food and hit the road. I've only eaten the flauntas so far but it was so yummy! They topped them with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, a crumbly cheese and maybe a sour cream drizzle? So delicious! Happy I gave this place a chance and I'll definitely be back. I didn't care for their beans since you could taste they were cooked with peppers or chilies, too spicy for me but that's my lack of spice tolerance not their fault. I also didn't like the side of rice, it had what looked to be corn and peas in it. I should've asked for Spanish rice. But again that's me being me and not their fault. Salsa was very good especially the red. I ordered a chicken burrito and had some of my bfs chicken street tacos. They were both super tasty especially the tacos. Third time going to this small Mariscos restaurant. Once again the food was delicious. We had a group of 10 with us. We were worried about the service. The service was GREAT. We started with a few drinks for the kids and beers for the adults. We ordered a beer that they didn't have on stock. The owner left the restaurant to go buy that beer. Amazing right?! We ordered off of the menu. We ordered a $30.00 botana. The botana consist of camarones a la diaba (spicy shrimp), carne asada (grilled steak), grilled tilapia, beans, rice and mixed veggies. We also ordered tacos Calaberos (super spicy grilled beef tacos). The food was very inexpensive for a Mariscos restaurant. Our bill came out to be $125.00. NOT BAD for a group of 10 right?! I tried this place a few years ago and it was good. I went back on 02/15/18 and bought Two Large Shrimp Cocktails and they were disgusting. My wife was so frustrated that there was hardly any shrimp and mostly water in the cup. The same went for my cocktail. Also be careful on how much they charge you I got charge %9 tax and by California Law places can't charge more than the state in taxes and it's currently only %7.75 WE WILL NOT BE EATING HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
