I had a chicken taco, which I rarely eat, & it was fantastic with a pupusa, side of rice & beans & a roasted jalapeno was the icing on the cake. They also gave me some salsa as well that really helped & was not very spicy, but still a great kick to the taco & rice. I am so happy to have found this place so near my house. This is their second location, I have been going to their first in East Dallas on Carol St. since I was little. However, ever since I moved it has been harder. I didn't even know they were the same owners until I tasted the salsa, its the same :) We got the pupusas, and they were delicious, like always. We bought the tamale to try and it was good, It was made out of shredded chicken. In the past I have had Salvadorian tamales with vegetables included and thought they were the best ever, so if they ever decide to add more ingredients that would be great. What was a miss for us was the fried yuca. It did not taste fresh, but it was really dry along with the meat. One has to ask for the sour cream since it was not included in the plate. The place is small and clean, many people just order to go. Cant wait to go back. read more

Love this place. I went there today and got two pupusas, a tamale, and rice and beans. Everything tasted super fresh. The pupusas were great, fresh off the grill and served with homemade salsa, and the tamale was very good as well. You could even see into the kitchen where they were making the pupusas from scratch. I have been in search for a good tamale since I got to Dallas. I was doing my laundry nearby and stumbled on this little diner. Lucky for me they had tamales, so I ordered one. The tamale was wrapped in foil and then wrapped in a green leaf. The tamale was pipping hot with steam and smelled incredible. A sauce, kind of like salsa, that came with it was orange in color, slightly thick in consistency and had a just right amount of heat. I doused the tamale in the sauce and was in heaven!. The texture of the masa was smooth and held its shape well. The chicken was seasoned nicely and along with the salsa...by far and hands down the best tamale I have ever eaten! After my laundry was done, I returned to buy 6 more, that were very reasonably priced. I spoke to one of the staff who said the best thing you can hear from any restaurant, "we cook like we are at home". The place is friendly and cozy. Clean. I have some gripes. The plantain breakfast dish is using pinto beans instead of red or black. I didn't think it would make a difference, but it actually does. Also, it is not served with Salvadorian cream. I asked for a side of cream and they brought what I suspect is regular store-bought sour cream. It's a shame. The pupusa was good as a side dish, but I don't think I can have it just by itself. The curtido was crunchy, but lacked the flavor that I've been accustomed to. The tomato sauce is a chunky onion type with good flavor, but not the smooth type that pupusas are normally served with. All in all, I think this place can easily make some adjustments and be better for it. It just opened not too long ago and they are not ready to serve their full menu. Once they get the ball rolling, we might see a difference in quality. read more

I bought stuff to go for my mom, and she really liked it. She said it was GREAT! Paul likes it better than me, but we're both sort of okay with it. They make an effort to cook your food homemade, as opposed to fast food, so in a way, it's legit. They're nice people. read more

This restaurant by far has the best pupusas in the DFW area! As soon as you walk in the smell of the food just hits your nose and I wanted to literally eat everything on the menu. Best pupusas I've ever had. They have cheese, pork and bean and cheese pupusas that come with a side of slaw and a grilled jalapeño. Clean place with tables and chairs to eat there.
