Perry's Pork Chop Friday Lunch Special
    Tee J.

A friend invited me out for lunch. It was a nice crowd but she made reservations prior to. Great vibes, nice atmosphere. Those steps were nice enough to let me know how out of shape I am (upstairs dining). We both took advantage of the lunch special because why not. The both of us went with the famous pork chop. As always, it was really good. It's huge but no worries. I'll finish it off tonight for dinner. There's valet parking available, as well as, a parking garage.

I finally had the Friday pork chop special. Perry's pork chops are THE.BEST.IVE.EVER.HAD!!!! They are also massive, like 3 pork chops in one. It took me 3 days to eat it all and on the 3 day I ended up tossing it. And the APPLESAUCE!!!! Chefs kiss! It would be great if they tripled the portion. If you love pork chops, go to Perry's. You won't be disappointed!

Came here for date night while traveling. The view was very nice it was a bit dark however. Upon walking in we walked up a set of steps to be seated and had a window view. Our server placed our napkins on our laps and immediately went over specials. I had a margarita with gold covered icd cubes that was wood smoked. I had the snapper special in which the sauce was excellent, but fish could have been cooked maybe 2min longer. I also had the chargrilled oysters which I didn't care for because there were grilled onions so you could barely taste the oyster. Sides ordered were Au Gratin potatoes and Brussels which were both plentiful and delicious. My date ordered the vegan steak and stated the seasoning was off, but the gravy helped. The roasted vegetables were a bit hard and had no taste. We did receive a free dessert sampler and all three were very tasty.

When in Texas, go big with Perry's! We love coming to Perry's when we're in Texas, they have some really good meats. Make reservations, location is packed and huge. We had an early dinner due to a toddler. It was loud in the restaurant so we felt comfortable with him. We ordered a cocktail, a thyme lemon drop and a martini. My lemon drop was delicious! For entrees I got the famous pork chop and my husband got the ribeye. Can't get a pork chop like that in CA, so I love coming here and eating it. It's way big! Enough to share TBH. Ribeye was delicious and cooked perfectly too. We got mushrooms which were very rich and flavorful. Their table bread server was also very good, their butter was perfectly soft. We even got a glass of their wine to eat with dinner. We had a wonderful dining experience. Forgot our servers name though.

Jason was amazing!!!!! It was my first time here and the food was cooked to perfection. The service was prompt, mindful and reassuring. It is pricey but I am a believer that you get what you pay for.

I love that there were so many yummy options that we had trouble deciding, but we went with the pork appetizer, cowboy rib eye, filet, corn and vegetables. The steaks were cooked perfect to our liking. They had a great flavor. The waiter Marvin was wonderful, he was friendly and informative and in a great mood. He made wonderful recommendations. He brought ice cream with a trio of sauces for our daughter for dessert which she really enjoyed putting together combinations of flavors. Would definitely comeback to try other menu items. Nice ambiance. Great service. Food comes out fairly quickly and everyone is very attentive.

Repeat customer and I had my retirement luncheon. Phenomenal pork special , fried asparagus, artichoke dip... all 14 guests had a great time. Great service from Daniel. Paige was a dream to work with.

Pork Chop Friday @ Perry's was just what we needed after midafternoon Samurai & Lichtenstein exhibits at The DMA (Dallas Museum of Art). Excellent service from Miss Duntrea. Perfect Grey Goose Martini with blue cheese olives!

Went to Pork chop friday! Party of 4 for birthday lunch! A wonderful time was had! our waitress was attentive and friendly. Food and the drinks were good! Delicious oysters and yummy bread. Perry's never disappoints. Very affordable for lunch!

Hubby and I arrived on a Saturday for our weekly date night/anniversary. As always, the service was impeccable from the moment that we arrived. For dinner, I had the "Surf and Turf Pasta" which consisted of rare 6 oz Filet Mignon tips, a 2-oz lobster tail served over angel hair pasta with tomato basil sauce. Hubby ordered the "20 oz Prime Bone in New York Strip" and we shared the "thick cut chargrilled vegetables" and "loaded whipped potatoes." Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Overall, this visit was a perfect 5!! Service, food, drinks, and ambiance were superb.

Everything was stellar! Calamari and Crab Cakes are a must! The lamb chops were a different taste than I'm used to but they were great as well. I wasn't 100% sold on the Mac and cheese. The drinks were strong and tasty I would most definitely return and recommend. This would be perfect for date, birthday, or anniversary. The service was top tier and very attentive!

Always a top tier experience! The food and service for me is always as expected: I was here for a birthday lunch for one of my for life friends. My first time trying the fried shrimp, the cream spinach was very tasty we all ordered from the senior menu which offers 3 courses for $39, since it was Friday they had the pork chops and loaded mashed potatoes also very good. The view of downtown Dallas and Clyde Warren Park are spectacular.

Stopped by for happy hour on a Monday. I would recommend for sure!! The steak and tater bites were so good! Spinach dip is always a hit and you get a lot even on the discounted menu. Service was quick and attentive, I sat at the bar. It was a little loud until the company party left the bar area but none the less I enjoyed my time.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

Second basket, fried Seafood combo included shrimp, oysters, catfish filets, French fries, with hushpuppies. Can't go wrong with this combo. Had the opportunity to meet one of the managers, Sandy. Sandy was so polite, gracious, and wanted to make sure all was good. We talked about the dinner selections and Hook Line Sinker desserts. It's no wonder things run so smoothly here. However, my experience this past Saturday wasn't quite up to the usual standard. Although my server, Kate, did her best and was attentive in taking my order, the overall service seemed a bit off. The kitchen appeared to be short-staffed, yet there were plenty of servers standing around instead of helping out as a team. I believe teamwork is crucial in creating a smooth dining experience. After waiting nearly 30 minutes for my appetizer, I had to send back the gator bites because they were served cold. With a bill of over $230 before tip, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect prompt, hot food. I tried to be understanding--having worked in the service industry myself--but there's definitely room for improvement on the coordination between staff and the bar. To their credit, once the food did arrive, everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious--exactly what keeps me coming back. One small disappointment was that, unlike with the table next to us, a manager never stopped by to apologize for the earlier issues at our table. Even with the hiccups, the food itself still deserves five stars. It's hard to give a place like Pappadeaux's anything less when the flavors are that good.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen…read more Friday afternoon lunch was not the best experience. I guess the professional server is a dinosaur theses days. Apparently, Pappadeaux's has had to pull from a a bad pool of applicants. While my server was friendly, she was either overwhelmed or just plain forgetful. I ate a few gator bites that arrived with bread service (which was completely out of order) before I asked for a container to transfer them to so they would not be soggy from the pool of sauce they were in. When she finally resurfaced, it was too late. I had already transferred them to the bread plate to save them. She did apologize. The shrimp & crab cobb salad is a standard for me and the last two times I have been disappointed. They changed it to a wedge of iceberg lettuce. The wedge used to be what appeared was a 1/4 head of lettuce. Now it looks like they have increased the yield and now get 8 wedges from a single head of lettuce. For a $30 salad of nutritionally dense iceberg, this is ridiculous! The wedge looked more like a slice of lettuce. The shrimp were cut in half, and there was an excessive amount of grape tomatoes. The toppings far outweighed the lettuce. If you're not going to cut the lettuce up, then do not cut my shrimp either! Very disappointed! After asking the server for the bill and to-go containers, she disappeared again. I thought it was shift change. I had to ask a manager who was taking a complaint from the table next to me. They too, were upset about the level of service from the same server. I let the manager know as well, "at these price points the service is not up to standard". She apologized but never asked for details. What kind of hospitality manager responds this way??? Now Im super pissed! I thought the FOH mgmt was subpar at Richardson (which is specifically why I drove further to Oak Lawn), but Oak Lawn has them too. I am done w/Pappadeaux's. It costs too much to have to experience this type of service and and clueless mgmt. There are burger joints with better service.

The food was outstanding. The appetizers were family style. The only thing that wasn't a hit was the ravioli stuffed with goat cheese. No one at my table really cared for that. Everything after that went downhill fast. The crab cakes were giving Saltgrass on an off night..heavy on filler, light on crab, and completely forgettable. Then came the entrées. The Chilean sea bass looked like a showstopper; perfect sear, beautiful presentation--and tasted like absolutely nothing. Not under-seasoned... unseasoned. The potato purée somehow managed to be both watery and bland, which feels like a choice. The scallops? Same story. Technically flawless sear, zero flavor. It's almost impressive how consistently everything coming off the fish station looked perfect and tasted like air. The pea risotto was aggressively one-note--just peas, no balance, no depth, none of that creamy, cohesive richness risotto is supposed to have. For $375 with tip, this wasn't just disappointing, it was offensive. The whole meal read less "elevated dining" and more "retirement home with a plating budget." I'll take Saltgrass next time..and that's not a compliment.

We drove all the way from Frisco to try Beverley's, so the great service was very much appreciated. We also loved the atmosphere! Very cool vibe with a great saxophone player. The food overall was very good, however, the latkes were definitely not good. We had the smoked salmon latkes and they were tiny, overcooked and flavorless. We had this as an appetizer and were nervous about the rest of the meal after those hockey pucks. My wife had the short rib and I had the schnitzel. They were both amazing. The potatoes were some of the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. Just amazing. The dessert with the Henry's homemade ice cream and toffee was delicious, as well. Overall, we will definitely be back. I just wish they had better latkes, because that's actually why we chose Beverley's, but no harm no foul. We enjoyed everything else enough that we would be happy to go back.

As big fans of Misti Norris and Petra, we first heard about Rainbow Cat when it was still a temporary popup at the bar. Having now tried her newer creations at Saint Valentine, we can safely say we'll definitely be back in the future for the drinks and vibe as well. Service was great throughout, with Paul and several other bartenders and servers casually conversing with and taking care of us the whole time we were there. It was super fun getting a glimpse of how the bar and kitchen work and also how enthusiastic everyone else also is about Misti's food. My husband and I started with a couple drinks that hit the spot: my Bryan St. Swizzle was colorful and refreshing, and my husband's Cheri Cheri Lady was smoky and smooth. We split three food items that most intrigued us, and they were all delicious. Our favorite was the Unicorn Dog, which came with a flavorful sausage with a delightful snap atop a bed of the best crispy rice we've had in a while. Spam Musubi was definitely also an elevated version of the classic, and the potato noods were basically a baked potato in noodle soup form, which I loved. We were recommended the Sour Patch to go with the Unicorn Dog but honestly the pickles weren't super necessary IMO; the dish was already wonderfully balanced with the mustard and onions. We ended the night with the cinnamon toast crunch dessert which was a lovely cap to the meal. The whipped milk was super unique, though my husband did say he would've preferred a slightly sweeter semifreddo, which would also mimic the temperature of cereal milk better. Something to consider for a future dessert maybe! We'll find ourselves downtown a little more now that the fall sports season is getting under way, so I can't wait to come back when we're in the area and try other things on the menu!

Out of all the dishes I truly enjoyed the garlic shrimp and the beet dish. Also you can't go wrong with the tomato bread. Lastly, get the sangria if you drink. Service was also great and they stopped by ever so often to check in on us. They also have the option to eat outside... Considering it was fairly cold we opted to eat inside. The only major con about this place is the parking. I know it's now their fault, but during peak hours it's very difficult to find street parking. I'm not sure if they have their own dedicate parking lot.
