I was in town for work for a week. We went here twice during the week and ate in the bar each time. Margaritas are great! Food was good and authentic. Took my sister here for her birthday. Waited 40 minutes to get a drink that wasn't correct. Server had to be new because he didn't know the menu and took 15 min to greet us if not longer. I sat there for 15 minutes before someone came and took my drink order, another 15 minutes to tell me they were out of the beer I wanted. Another 15 minutes and my partner had to leave for work soon so we had to leave before we could even order food. So we got tacos across the street and are in the car real quick. This used to be El Sarape. Part of that family branched off and turned this into La Patrona. I have been there a couple times since the change for dinner and I won't be going back. They cater to the bar, so if that's what you're going there for it might be fine. My husband and I went for dinner, the service was terrible and it was NOT busy. The food was so over cooked and shitty that we told them to take it back, they didn't charge us for it but we didn't want it redone, we left. Then a month later my adult daughter wanted to go there for her birthday, I tried to tell her it sucked now but she wanted to go anyway. There were ten of us, it took forever for them to take our order, then they brought 7 people their food, three of us didn't get ours until the others were almost done. They never came back to ask if everything was ok, they never brought more water. The bar music was so loud it was impossible to even talk at our table in the restaurant. I'm done. Never again. We will go to El Sarape on the westside or Lacey from now on. It's sad cuz I live in Tumwater have been going to this place for over a decade. read more

Let's chat about this business. First, I've been there a few times. I got burrito that was.. well, not very good. Considering it's a Mexican restaurant you would think you would get a good burrito.. No masks wearing by the costumers. This used to be a fun place, just doesn't seem like they really know what they are doing. Won't be going back.
