Visited twice in 2 days. I went with a coworker or Thursday and was so impressed by flavor and service that went back today with my family to try it out. On Thursday I had the crispy chicken bao buns which were phenomenal, and the Lomo saltado poke. Never thought a blend of lomo and wakame would taste that good!! The manager Rafcel, was super nice and gave us recommendations. Very nice place and amazing taste on day one. Day two: we visited with my family to try some more plates. Parking is easy as they're located in a plaza. The AC was broken so not great but it didn't impact us much. Our server was Valentina, amazing service. She basically knew the entire menu by heart and gave us recommendations on each of the different cuisines. We tried: - queso fundido amazónico- the menu sells it better than what it actually is. Missing more protein. - lomo tacos pastor - good taste and pineapple gives them a nice touch- i think it had a relish like sauce I didn't like much. - chicken tacos- good but not great - leche de tigre: absolutely amazing - ceviche ají amarillo: perfect loved it just order - dessert- Baboon- amazing curcuma icecream with Dulce de leche and fried bao bun- wow- must order 4 stars as the tacos/ price was not up to par. We've been to other Ceviches by Divino locations but this is my first time at this location in Davie. I coordinated a group of 17 ladies for a movie night next door at Cinemark and we decided to stop into Ceviches by Divino for apps and drinks prior to the movie. We slowly started with 5 ladies around 5:30pm on a Saturday. Luckily, they weren't busy yet and sat us in an area where we could add more tables, as needed. Our server, Grace was wonderful. She was very helpful and patient throughout the entire experience with ladies arriving throughout the night. They were very accommodating with pulling tables together as more people arrived. We really appreciated that. By the time we left for the movie at 7:00pm, we had all 17 girls at Ceviches. Haha. Our group ordered cocktails, beer, appetizers and shots! It was a perfect setting for our big group. I had the Jalapeño Margarita which was on point. Perfectly spicy! We ordered several different appetizers which included the following: * Trio de Ceviches * Porkbelly con Chalaca * Causa Crocante con Tuna * Queso Fundido Amazonica * Guacamole Nikkei * Causa Ganadora * Crispy Cilantro Rice with Salmon * Croquetas de Pulpo * Yucca Fries Every dish was tasty. I love the Trio de Ceviches but honestly, they all taste so similar, it's hard to distinguish the different flavors. Mainly because you taste mostly the citrus from the ceviche. Queso Fundido was super cheesy and great cheese pull video coverage. Lol. The Crispy Cilantro Rice with Salmon is different but I like it because I love cilantro, just wish the rice was crispier! Yucca fries was super crispy but needed a sauce for dipping, maybe like a cilantro creamy sauce. Yummm! Porkbelly is always a good idea. Didn't get to try everything else but everyone seemed happy with our experience here! Everything worked out nicely. Service was great. Food and drinks were delish. Loved the decor and space here. Especially the photo opp wall in the back. Grace was smart and told us to take our group photo back there when we asked her to take a group shot. And to think we were just going to pose in front of the open kitchen. Lol, Bonus was we got to use our InKind app. My friend and I both had InKind app coupons so Grace was able to split our check into two separate checks and use two different InKind discounts. The lettuce was clearly fresh and had a satisfying crunch. I normally hate substituting tortillas or buns for lettuce because they're usually soggy, but not this time. The Tostones con Chicharron are also soo addicting. I never want to share them because they're just so tasty, and the perfect size. Finally made a stop after they closed the taco spot that was previously operating out of this location. We were seated almost immediately. Both the hostess and the waitress were very cordial. The layout was very similar to how it was when it was the Taco spot, consisting of tables and booths. There's also a section outside you can sit at. The decor is very cute. There's a shelf full of decorations that wraps the front of the kitchen. You can tell they put thought into the decor. We ordered the ceviche and the octopus to start and ceviche to start. Both apps were very good. The octopus was cooked to perfection. The consistency was excellent and that sauce that came with it . Even the choice of plating options are unique. For main we ordered the Lomo saltado. Can't go to a Peruvian restaurant without lomo. The lomo had great flavor and the veggies were cooked well, not overcooked and mushy. It was a bit salty though. My husband and I decided to try this place and we could not have hoped for a better time. Let's start with parking...easy peezy! It is in a strip mall with Publix as the anchor store. We went for lunch on a Thursday and it was almost empty - which is great if you are in a rush to get back to work. To start, we got the Ahi Tuns appetizer. It was incredibly fresh and the tostada chips were freshly made so very warm. A great way to kick off the meal!! Now to the main course... I got the friend chicken tacos. The tacos come in two. They were delicious is scarfed them down in six minutes or less. My friend got the fried shrimp on Bao buns. He loved them as well. The buns looked fluffy and yummy but I'm counting carbs so was happy they had a "healthier" option in the tacos. Back to my fried chicken tacos - they were divine! My friend brought me a cookie so didn't get to try their desserts. The cookie was great too but I'll share that in another review The staff... Didn't see many as it was lunch time but our waitress was very nice, warm and made great food selection suggestions. She was happy to explain the details of the menu. The vibe... The music was ON POINT! They had a great mix of reggae and Spanish music. The reggae was authentic! Music level was a good volume - loud enough to hear but low enough that you can easily have a conversation without yelling. I was literally dancing in my chair because the music was soooooooo good! Really like this spot, service and food are both great. We have actually been there a few times and every time it has been exactly what we expected. The options of food and their take on things will surprise you. We had the Ceviche, Chaufa Bites and various rolls. It is all good at Divino's. We will be visiting again and enjoying another meal. The yelp pictures brought me here. Everything looked amazing and the reviews spoke for themselves. I did notice the menu to be quite simple. For a ceviche restaurant it only boast two ceviche plates. If you want dinner before a movie, this is a great spot. Located within a few steps of Cinemark Paradise, this Peruvian Gastrobar will satisfy your hunger for sure. We have been to the original one in Miami but this location is closer to where we live. Like the original location, the food here is always fresh and flavorful. We got the Croquetas de Pulpo, Causa Ganadora, Ceviche Mixto, and of course the Lomo Saltado. Just after one bite, we could tell they only use quality ingredients. We also added another ceviche called Ceviche de Mercado cause it looked so good. And I'm telling you, it was on point. This ceviche mixed with crispy calamari was to die for. And don't forget to try their cocktails. Yes, they have a full bar. I suggest trying one of their flavored piscos. So good. We are big fans of this place and can't wait to go back. I'm visiting Ft Lauderdale this week and checked this place with my Cousin based on the Yelp reviews. It happened to be Peru's Independence so we received a complimentary Peruvian drink, they also had a live singer which was great! They have small plates which is great for sharing and you get to try several dishes in one visit. What We ate: Lomo Saltado Peruvian stir-fry, made with tenderloin, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, soy sauce, and garlic. Served with crispy fried potatoes and white rice. The food here is outstanding. With a little more work on the service and communication from the staff, this place could be perfect. I've been here twice. First visit was a perfect 5/5 experience. Second could have been better. Both times the food was top tier and the staff was friendly. The second time the service was a lot slower, we were barely checked in on. We received our entrees probably an hour after we ordered them. Based on the wait for our entrees, I get the feeling they forgot to put them in until we reminded them. Factoring in how slow the food arrived and that there was very little communication from the staff, the second visit was a 3/5 overall. Here's what I've tried Causa ganadora - cold mashed potato seasoned with peruvian yellow pepper, oil and lime, served with shrimp. This is such a creative plate. Based on taste alone, I assumed the potato was mashed up plantain. This is a must try. 5/5 ($15.30) Toston con chicharron - Deep fried pork skin inside a green plantain basket with sweet plantains. This is bursting with flavor. I love the contrast of the salty pork and the sweet plantains. It's obviously not on the healthy side but definitely worth a taste. 4/5 ($10.00) Arroz con Mariscos - Shrimp, squid, scallops, red pepper, cilantro and seasoned rice. Wow. This was insanely good. They were extremely generous with the seafood portion, like mostly everything else served here it was bursting with flavor. My only complaint is when I tried it the second time, some of the rice tasted undercooked and it didn't have as much seafood as the first time, but it was still good. 4.5/5 ($20.30) I also tried their Seco Limeno burrito, camaron con pico de gallo mix (half bao half taco) and queso fundido, these were all great but portions seem a bit too small. They're worth a try though. Mini jalea was good as well but a tad bit too salty, I'd skip out on that in the future. All-in-all this a solid spot. Their food is undeniably good, refreshing and unique. I guess that perhaps the staff gets a bit overwhelmed when it gets busier. It really pains me to deduct a star, but I have to be honest and factor in the slow service and lack of communication on my last visit. My mouth was watering while I was writing this review and I have been recommending this spot to everyone. COME, but perhaps during their slower times (4pm?) to ensure a perfect experience. read more

If you go to a ceviche place, you better order ceviche. I ordered Ceviche Caliente. It was fish ceviche served with hot leche de tigre. Marinated lightly in lime juice and seasoned with Peruvian limo chili, fresh cilantro, and onion, garnished with sweet potato, and choclo (Peruvian giant corn). I asked for it to be spicy and it was the perfect mix. I was in love with the sauce. Came with rice and it was the perfect pair. I wanted to get something to eat and felt for tacos. The time was 9:59pm and they closed at 10pm and they was so friendly when I walked in even though they were closing they still put my order in and made my food. The fish tacos were amazing so tasty. If you like fresh mint lemonade that was good too. They offer the cocoa cola in the bottle from Mexico love that. The service was exceptional very polite staff and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance of the restaurant is very laid back has bar like feel to it but modern. The offer happy hour Tuesdays through Thursday 4-7pm and Wednesdays is ladies night. A Taco is an interesting fusion of Mexican and Peruvian dishes. I stopped in during the afternoon and it was moderately busy. The decor and layout of the restaurant are perfect for the concept. On this occasion I ordered the Chaufa Amazonico Bites as an appetizer. The dish consists of a fried Chaufa ball sitting atop a lightly fried piece of wonton. It is served with a chili glaze. The appetizer was absolutely delicious, especially when dipping it in the sweet chili glaze. Secondly I ordered the pork belly taco and bao bun mixed plate. The Bao Bun bun was pillowy and had a fantastic texture, and the chimichurri marinated veggies were tasty. The pork belly however was incredibly disappointing. Instead of a savory, fatty, and crispy piece of pork belly, I was served a meager piece of dry and stringy piece of pork. The most important part of the dish... was the worst part of the dish. My only other complaint is the service. My waitress saw me once to take my order.... and then never again. Another staff member brought out my food... and nobody ever refilled my drink. After I was done eating, I saw my waitress talking with other employees in the back. I sat with cleared plates for ten minutes before having to flag down another employee to finally give me my check. Came to try this location for Mother's Day dinner. I had a reservation so I didn't wait to be sat down , but there was plenty of sitting available. Very well decorated and nice music was playing. Our server was nice and friendly, but did take a while to come back to our table after ordering the appetizers and drinks. We started with a red and white sangrias. Both delicious 10/10 we had 2 rounds. For appetizers we had the tostones con Chicharron and that was so delicious and packed with flavor. Dinner took a long time to come out. We had the arroz chaufa which was savory. We also ordered the combinado marino ( the arroz con marisco and ceviche were delicious, however the jalea was stale and came cold not fresh). We mentioned it but was just given excuses as if it was the first time we eat jalea. For dessert we tried el cheesecake de chicha morada and it was so soft and flavorful. This is a real fun spot for a pre or post movie drink and snack. Great drink menu, fun food menus and nice outdoor seating area for a South Florida evening. The good: yo this place's cocktail menus is putting local "speakeasy's" on notice. Unique cocktails and the jalapeño margharita was the best I've had in the area. Playful food, the menu has a lot of options and some creativity is on display with a lot of plates designed for the camera. Also I'm a sucker for a bao bun and their buns were fluffy!! The mediocre: the downside to a playful menu with plates designed for Instagram is that it was a bit all over the board and the food was not super consistent. The items on their "most popular" section were very good but the causa roll with the shrimp on top felt a little out of proportion to create the sushi look. So Glad we found this place! We were brewing through Instagram for taco Tuesday specials and this yummy restaurant came in our news feed. The location is easy to find as it is located in the cinemark plaza. Parking is easy as well. The restaurant is well open and layer out. We were seated right away. On taco Tuesday they have specials such as salmon tacos and octopus tacos. We decided to try the salmon and it is so delicious!! It is poke style raw salmon but it does have a refreshing lime kick to it almost like a ceviche with a crispy wonton texture taco shell, literally you can eat so many and on Tuesdays those are 3$ each. There regular menu had so many option from tacos and the tacos you can choose the regular taco shell or bao buns!!! Which definitely made the experience more delightful because I love those bao buns. We tried the anticuchero bao buns and it was yummy in every fluffy bite. The server was very nice, the restaurant is clean and nice atmosphere. Be sure to follow them on Instagram . I'm so mad at myself for only taking one picture, but guys, you have to understand that we were starving. I literally almost went into TGI Fridays because I couldn't find Divino inside the packed plaza. Anyway, we found it, it's bomb, go there and order many things, as they're small tapas style plates. Visited the restaurant on a Friday night and left feeling satisfied and and with a happy stomach! The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating and is fairly new so it was not packed. We had some delicious passion fruit piscos, followed by the ceviche sampler, grilled octopus tapas, causas and a couple of shrimp tacos. The pisco and ceviche has traditional flavors, while the other plates all brought a twist of something different into the mix. The shrimp that came with the causa and the tacos was amazing! I was surprised at how tender it came out. For desert, we had a meringue and dulce de leche wonton that melted in your mouth for a surprising experience. Service experience was lacking for my first time and will be the last time there. Food wise... ceviche was eh! Had better ... $10 for 2 tacos with little to nothing inside. Ordered the tenderloin taco but they brought chicken. With service taking forever it wasn't worth sending back! I had the burrito but it was more of a rice burrito.. hardly had anything else inside. On our way home from Miami, we were looking for a restaurant with cheviche and stumbled upon this one. It is off I75 heading west on Sheridan Street on the right in a strip shopping center, but you have to backtrack back towards 75 to find it. The restaurant decor is superb. It feels like you are in Mexico or Peru. The waitress was even transplanted. Although sweet, she kept speaking to us in Spanish. We had to keep reminding her to speak English. The food was prepared quickly. We sat outside in the balmy South Florida breeze. The outside patio area was decorated just as enchanting as the inside. I ordered the salmon ceviche and my husband had a rice bean burrito. My meal was like a work of art! You didn't want to eat it because it was so pretty! I feel the portion could have been more, but surprisingly, it was filling. My husband enjoyed his burrito. This restaurant is relatively new. It was opened Dec. 2021. I would highly recommend it.
