Wow. Just wow! What a fantastic meal. Parking is in back. Very small restaurant but that makes it even more special. I let Manuela choose my meal and it was spectacular. This place is the biggest hidden gem in the area. We got a togo order tonight. We ordered a chicken parm, chicken francese and an order of calamari. The chicken in both dishes was cooked to perfection. The calamari was extremely fresh and tender. The meals also came with the best homemade bread we've ever had. The quality was incredible. Decided to eat here because of a newspaper review and so glad I did. The food is amazing and everything is homemade including most of the bread, yum!! My husband loves the bolognese sauce and I love everything I have had but the lobster ravioli, I think, is the best in town. The dining room is small and cozy and service is attentive. With all of the glorious reviews how could we not go to this place for Valentines Day. What a disappointment. We shared a Caesar salad to start. It was bland. I had the rack of lamb that, while cooked to perfection, the mushroom glaze completely overpowered the flavor. My wife had a pasta dish that she described as flavorless. The next day she was quite sick with an upset stomach. For food 2 stars. Service was poor. I accept that the restaurant was full but nobody ever checked in to see if our food was OK or even if the cook on my lamb was proper. This restaurant is hidden on Federal Highway. Next to a barber shop. I drove by twice before finding it. My husband and I were the only customers and they were very accommodating. They gave us delicious bruschetta complimentary and a bread basket. The salads were quite large enough to share and the soup very large too. I got salmon it was served w spinach potato broccoli and a cream sauce. Very fresh. Interestingly delicious. Too much to eat. I took home enough for another meal. I made a yelp account solely because of this restaurant. From the service to the homemade bread I have never had a better dining experience. As soon as we were sat down we were greeted by the friendly owner and his model looking waiter straight from Italy. They were both super inviting, and they made the whole experience feel as we were with old friends. The food was phenomenal, in which all were cooked by the owners lovely wife (who we also had the pleasure of meeting). I would go as far to say the best Italian I've had in my life. When we ordered dessert my sister had explained to the owner she couldn't have any dairy due to being lactose intolerant and he brought out fresh cut fruit for her instead. A few shots and some laughs later I was almost reluctant to leave. They had a restaurant near us in Hollywood and when it was recently sold, the neighborhood was in shock. We are all relieved to know they are back with the highest quality food and service. I wanted to go to a romantic Italian restaurant for my birthday and my husband chose this place after reading the reviews. It was perfect! The food was excellent and the service was great. We spit (and finished!)the beet & goat cheese salad- definitely enough for two maybe three lol. I had the shrimp, salmon & zucchini with vodka sauce. I'm not a fan of salmon so I asked for all shrimp and they readily accommodated. It was delicious! My husband had the veal piccata and loved it. We had no room for dessert but they surprised me with a mango panna cotta because it was my birthday - so nice of them! We will definitely be back! read more
