Thanks to Marqus R for his five star review of this restaurant. If Marqus gives a place praise, we know from experience that we just have to try it. So we did today at our first opportunity. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. They have happy hour all day and my husband was able to enjoy a glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. They offer Pepsi products, so I went with a house brewed ice tea. I knew I just had to try their clam chowder to start based on Marqus' praises. It was a large cup with clams, potatoes, carrots, corn, and celery in a creamy base. Every bite had a bit of clam in it. And it was quite good. My husband had the chop chop salad to start. It was gorgeously presented and larger than expected. Real bacon; candied pecans; iceberg lettuce; etc. Along with lots of blue cheese crumbles. He said it was one of the best salads he's had in some time. He saved half for a later meal. For my "entree" I got the French dip. The plate was more like a platter with a huge amount of fries; and two halves of a long roll topped with sliced toasted prime rib. No thin little slices here either -- but large chunks of meat. A small container of au jus for dipping was on the side. I could only make it through a quarter of the open faced sandwich. I took most of it home as I was stuffed. My husband had the chicken piccata. It was lemony he said. It came with mashed potatoes. It was good, but I thought my sandwich was better. So huge portions; very good food; reasonable lunch prices; and personable people working here. What more could you ask from a 5-star lunch experience? We will be back.

It is so very nice to experience a Five Star Lunch ... and that is our experience here today! Our Yelp Elite friend and food Guru, Marquis R., dined here and gave them five stars for his Dinner experience. We always are eager to follow his lead... They have Happy Hour Beverages and a great Lunch menu. I chose a NZ Sauvignon Blanc, my favorite, and looked over the menu. I selected the Chop chop salad; Iceberg lettuce, slivers of red onion, blue cheese crumbles, cherry tomatoes, real bacon crumbles, candied pecans with a balsamic drizzle. Not only was my salad delicious it was expertly constructed with all of the wonderful components! My Lunch Entree was the Chicken Picatta with Red Bliss mashed potatoes. DELICIOUS! In chatting with our bartender we discovered she grew up as part of a Navy family. The front end manager is also an Army Veteran. As an Air Force Veteran they extended a Military discount which made this lunch even better. Great Happy Hour! Great food with large servings! Great ambiance! Great Service!

This place is huge! We came for a birthday dinner and were not disappointed. Portion sizes are good. Food quality is good. Service was good. The only complaint was being out of short rib- so we'll have to try that next time. Recommen

Heard lots of good things about this place. So, we went for lunch. They have happy hour all day. We decided we would try some appetizers. We started with Brussels Sprouts in a chili sauce & mushrooms sautéed with cognac. They were both delicious. Hubby ordered 14 oz Ribeye & I ordered 6 oz fillet. Everything was cooked perfectly. Mine came with Yukon mashed potatoes & hubby had loaded baked potato. I was very impressed with what we ordered. Definitely coming back to try some seafood as well as salads. The restaurant has lots of booths as well as tables- both regular & high top. Rachael was our server & she was quick & did a great job!

Saw that Black Rock restaurant closed and saw the Bradley opened in its place. Was greeted by the hostess and was taken to a booth. The hostess actually brought us our water and then AJ, our waiter answered some menu questions and we ordered the whipped feta app and the clam chowder. Both were very good and the whipped feta was such a big portion I took most of it home. I got the French dip and my friend got the lunch size lasagna. Again, the portions are huge and we both took almost half home. I liked my sandwich more than he liked the lasagna. Got the brownie to split for dessert, again, so huge it came home too. Overall, clean, great service, even the manager stopped by to check on things. I thought it was pretty hopping for a Tuesday afternoon and I'll definitely be back

Incredibly delicious and filling NYE meal! My boyfriend and I went here for New Year's Eve for the first time and we were not disappointed. Our server was AJ. He was very helpful, kind, attentive, and friendly. Made our experience better. The portions are HUGE!! Expect to eat a lot here. The appetizers you can share with multiple people as well. The booths and tables are large and I like how you have lots of space to eat. The meal portions are very big and very filling. Perfect if you are hungry and want to eat! Honorable mention was this SPECTACULAR blue cheese salad. I mean wow. My boyfriend almost cried when we accidentally left it at the restaurant I guess we have to come back now ! Had a really memorable dinner here and I can't wait to try it again!

I'm thrilled that Bradley,a privately owned restaurant has taken the place formerly of Black Lava. Bradley is the chef and his brother a waiter. I love patronizing locally owned and operated businesses. The restaurant itself is huge, as is the bar, with plenty of good seating. There is also plenty of free parking. The decor is an eye pleasing modern industrial and the service I received was friendly and professional. They have both main and lunch menus with choices enough to please most palates. I started with the New England style clam chowder which was the best I've had in the area; superior in texture, taste and flavors compared to Anthony's Clam House, or Sea watch. Next I went for a meat entree, choosing a filet from their offerings of rib eye, butchers cut or roasted prime rib. What a great selection. I had my filet done Pittsburgh rare with a champagne zip sauce and it was just as delicious as anything I've had at places like Bearn Steakhouse or Capitol Grill.

Today is my birthday. I get to choose where I'd like to go and then friends add on to join us. Tonight, we were 16 people. Bradley's Bar & Kitchen was a relaunch of Black Rock of Ft. Lauderdale. The restaurant is HUGE. We were quickly seated together in two groups of eight. Sara was our waitress and from the beginning, I could tell she was special. She immediately jumped in and took our drink orders and returned the second they were ready. She took our orders, made recommendations, offered price saving tips, and accommodated split checks at the end. The food was not only exceptional but the portion sizes matched the restaurant, HUGE! Almost everyone took home at least half their meal. I had the clam chowder as a starter and never saw so many clams in all my life. I chowed it down and was already full. My main was the Sausage and Barrata over penne. A bit spicy, but in a good way. My wife had the French Onion Soup as her starter and then the French Dip as her main. (Guess it was a French meal night for her!) I'll let you know how it was when I eat her second half tomorrow for dinner. They have me a huge(using that word allot for this review but it's accurate) Brownie with Ice Cream for dessert which we all tasted. As much as I hated to see a local business go under, like a Phoenix, Bradley's rose to all expectations and should be a long lasting party of our neighborhood.

When I saw that Black Rock was being taken over and turned into a local restaurant, I was very excited to check it out! We went on a weeknight and grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. Sonja was over in a flash and soon we were sipping on some well poured drinks as we looked at the menu. The guy working with her at the bar was also quite friendly and stepped in whenever we needed something. Great service! The menu has a range of items from steaks and seafood to salads and soups and it seems to have a bit of a Mediterranean flair. It was a chilly night so we started with a couple of soups- french onion for my friend and chicken tortilla for me! The soups were great! My chicken tortilla soup (I think it was the daily special) was thick and filling- almost like a chowder. I'm so glad I ordered it! And my friend who usually finds something wrong when we go out to eat as he's a picky eater- said that the onion soup was some of the best he has had! Score! For our entrees- I went with the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and my friend had the rib eye with fries. Both were perfectly cooked and I'm glad I asked for the sauce that was supposed to be on the lamb on the side as it was a little spicy for me and the lamb was flavorful on it's own. While the food, drinks and service were spot on, if I had a wish it would be that the restaurant was a little warmer- both in temperature and in esthetics. It's a little bit of a stark setting for the high level of food that we received- lots of concrete, sharp edges and florescent lights by the bar. My friend described it as "antiseptic". And on the night we were there is was fairly empty but when it fills up, and it will as people come for this food, I'm guessing it's gonna get loud! But maybe that's what they are going for- bar decor with high end food? Anyway- we'll definitely be back as the food was a standout for sure. And as I found out- once you've eaten the delicious soup here, you forget about the cold . . . .or was it the two martinis I had that did that? Whichever it was, The Bradley is worth checking out!

Ice cold empty glass (refill was already delivered before it was emptied).

What a wonderful experience. From start to finish, exceptional service! Kudos to Sarah! Other should look to Sarah for exceptional service, others should strive to achieve her level of excellence! Welcome to the South! The food was outstanding and the portions were plenty for a complete meal, and wanting for nothing more, once completed. Atmosphere was very nice, extremely nice seating, and welcoming. Felt at home, sort of speak.

The Bradley is a must-visit in Fort Lauderdale! The staff are super friendly, and the bartenders are fun and personable, making for a great atmosphere. The drinks were amazing - I highly recommend trying their spicy marg (I subbed vodka for tequila seeing as I'm not a tequila girlie, and it was phenomenal). It had just the right amount of spice, and the Tajin rim was perfect.

Very pleasant service and management checked often. Serving was very large and tasty. Prices were comparable. It wasn't busy for a Saturday night, they had a singer for an hour.

Fast forward to today, and it's a completely different story. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The steaks were massive, juicy, and cooked to perfection, easily some of the best I've had anywhere, and I've paid top dollar at high-end steakhouses. The Hawaiian ribeye, in particular, was incredible, tender & juicy. The wings were huge and packed with flavor, honestly some of the best wings I could ask for. They've also stepped up their starters. The new bread with honey butter is insanely good, and the avocado eggrolls with tamarind sauce are absolutely next level. I added on the crab cake which is of insane quality, big lump pieces, it's actually hard to find breading. Service was just as impressive, attentive, smooth, and genuinely welcoming. I even had the chance to speak with the manager, Dani, who explained they made a major shift away from distributors that were hurting their quality. They went back to basics, focused on what made them great in the first place, and it shows in every bite. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time, across any cuisine. J. She repeatedly told us she was "making an exception" for our party. Then she lectured us about having to sit at two separate tables with two separate checks. What really crossed the line was when she said, "If I see you passing food between tables, we'll stop serving you." That comment was unnecessary, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate. We were paying customers, not asking for free food or special treatment. There's a time and place to explain restaurant policies, but the way they were communicated made us feel unwelcome before we had even ordered. Hospitality is about making guests feel valued, and unfortunately, that was completely missing here. We chose to leave rather than spend our money somewhere we clearly didn't feel wanted. There are plenty of restaurants that appreciate their customers, and we'll be supporting those instead.
