Sushi Sake GOOD: Fun Decor, friendly service BAD: Food quality - frozen flavor hidden by deep fry We wanted to love this place but the food is really rough. Every dish had a generic, frozen taste - good fry with a watery, mushy, middle. We didn't care for anything except the wine and soup - safe items. I can not recommend Sushi Sake Lauderdale

Went for an early dinner, there was no hostess so waited inside for a waitress. We were shown to our table inside. Service was prompt. Food was delivered to the table as it was ready. The sushi was not he freshest. Fried rice was underwhelming too.

It was an early in the afternoon and we were the only one in the restaurant, we were served right away. We ordered Beef Negamaki It was so good. I didn't get to take a picture. The service was good. The food was great. I would definitely be back.

Bright and welcoming dining atmosphere. Friendly servers and a dedicated hot plate chef as well as a Sushi chef. I got one of the Fresh lunch roll offerings which was quite good.

We had a good lunch here. The only caveat is that they are located in a touristy area, so prices are a tad high. Then again fish and sushi are more expensive now than they've ever been. The restaurant is opposite the Marathon gas station and next to Even Keel. It's just south of the corner of Commercial Boulevard. The Yelp location pin was dropped in a different area, so we had to double back to find it. But I've reported it to Yelp -- so hoping that this gets corrected soon. There's a nice patio area under umbrellas on the outside. As it was extremely hot, we chose one of their inside tables. It's not large inside, but still spacious. A large Buddha's head decorates one wall. They have a lunch menu including hibachi dishes but it was not that appealing to me. We both started with their green salads. This was a large bowl of crispy iceberg lettuce topped with cucumber slices, tomato slices, and carrots. Their ginger dressing was served on the side. After that, I had their kanisu roll. It was beautifully presented. The krab, avocado, and masago were very good wrapped in cucumber. And I liked the sweet sunomono sauce. The only complaint was that it fell apart when picked up. My husband had their "yummy" roll which was on the lunch specials menu. It was fried white fish with avocado inside and topped with raw tuna and crunchies in the outside . All was drizzled with yum yum sauce. They have a happy hour. They were doing a lot of takeout. I'm glad we stopped by to check them out.

A great bang for your buck when it comes to sushi. Fairly priced and all the sushi's come with good portions compared to what you'll usually get in places like boston. Would definitely recommend the rock shrimp roll under the chefs specials. Other diners for the hibachi which was also huge portions and tasty.

I would rate 5 stars BUT location is key and I LOVEEEE to sit outside.. but it was so loud, being next to a light on a busy road was a bit much for me.. trucks, music, beeping, shouting.. EHHH ! However - I can see them getting a lot of business by being where they are so I guess you have to pick your battles. Service was great, our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu items we were unfamiliar with.. our drinks and lunch were all very very good. A shrimp hibachi meal , vegetable roll, and some drinks all hit the spot! we were stuffed !!

Here's a piece of that Angel Roll, topped with fresh ginger and spicy Wasabi, sitting in a bath of soy sauce. YUM!!!!

What a GREAT addition to the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea dining scene. We needed a sushi place, and now we have one of the many franchises in South Florida. Service by Maria our waitress was excelled. Indoor-Outdoor seating options are always appreciated. I am so happy they have joined a vibrant, diverse dining scene in LBTS! We enjoyed and will return. Prices are very fair!!!!

I just don't understand why people aren't just straight with me. Imagine placing an order before arriving, expecting the order to be ready, and upon arriving you are told the most ambiguous things: "They are packing it up now" "It's coming" "It's gonna be a bit longer" Like I get that my presence doesn't make food come out faster, but lying is a choice and is disrespectful.

I've dined at the las olas location and enjoy the special fried rice so decided to try this location. My husband and I came to the restaurant around 9 15 pm. There were 2 servers and 2 cooks. Appetizer came out quick but our food took forever. Mind you, we are the ONLY people in the entire restaurant. Our waitress said it would be out shortly and then nothing. When she came out she said sorry, but the staff got backed up with take out orders. You would think in person would take priority. I can't imagine what would happen if more than 2 people eat here at the same time.

We waited about 10 mins to be seated, but our waitress was there in mins. We ordered the El Greco skillet, country fried steak and a side of biscuits and gravy. Delicious food and good portions. I must mention the coffee was acceptable. Not the best but not the worst. Not just our waitress, but all staff members we interacted with were lovely. As far as diners are concerned, this is one of the good ones.

Nobody goes to Lester's Diner because they're chasing a Michelin star…read more You come because it's late. You come because you just got off a flight. You come because you're hungry. Or you come because places like this are becoming harder and harder to find. I came for all of the above. Lester's has been one of those dependable Fort Lauderdale diners for years, and I always seem to end up ordering one of two things: eggs with potatoes and a bagel, or a burger and fries. They've never let me down. Their spanakopita is also worth mentioning. Made the traditional Greek way, it's one of those hidden gems on the menu that doesn't get enough attention. This visit, though, I decided to color outside the lines. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelette. The eggs were cooked just right. The peppers and cheese worked well together, but I thought the filling needed a little more seasoning. It wasn't bad by any stretch... just a bit bland for something inspired by a Philly cheesesteak. We also started with the onion rings, and those were excellent. Crispy on the outside, tender onions inside, and exactly what an onion ring should be. My wife went with the chocolate chip pancakes. Calling them "large" doesn't do them justice. These things arrived looking like they had their own ZIP code. They were fluffy, loaded with chocolate chips, and the kind of breakfast that makes you question whether lunch is even necessary. But the real star of the meal wasn't on the menu. It was our server, Olivia. Let's be honest. Waiting tables at a diner may not be anybody's dream job, but you never would've known it from the way she took care of us. She was friendly, helpful, attentive, and seemed to be everywhere she needed to be before we even realized we needed something. I'd come back just for her service. Five stars for Olivia. Four stars for Lester's. Sometimes a restaurant isn't about chasing perfection. It's about being exactly what you need it to be, exactly when you need it. Lester's has been doing that for a long time.

My cousin from Miami recommended this place near Downtown FTL so I had to try it. We went for breakfast, but they are now open for dinner - but certain days/time, I'd double check. It's a cute, quaint, and more upscale deli than I'm used to but that only made me more excited. I was also very hungry. In true Yelp fashion, I looked this place up before we went and from the pictures, the portions looked huge, so my cousin and I split everything. But don't be fooled, we still ended up each getting an entree, and finishing everything. Like I said, hungry. Before I go on, the servers were great, nice, and the culture seems very accommodating because they kept explaining that we can mix and do plenty substitutions with our orders. It was really nice and refreshing for someone who wants to try a little bit of everything as much as possible. I ordered the Grand Schlam - which is like basic breakfast plate: a protein, egg, carb, and side. I ended up getting scrambled eggs, no cheese, the maple sausages, it comes with a Latke, and I choose the tomatoes with the basil oil as my side. Delicious. Eggs portion for the prices, amazing! The Latke was so yummy and perfect size. 2 maple sausages, not too sweet, which I like. And the star was fer sure the tomatoes with basil oil because it was refreshing with the savory egg and sausage combo. We also split the Corned Beef Hash - a popular dish there. It is a very large portion. My cousin finished most of it but only because I had some of it also. It comes with slices of corned beef, and shreds of corned beef on top of the hash, with eggs, and a side. And my dear cousin got a croissant as a side so he could make a freakin corned beef hash croissant sandwich. I mean is he my cousin or what. Anyways, it was amazing. The corned beef was perfectly cooked and not overly salty which was great. Then, we shared a Blueberry Pancake, amazing. Will definitely come back. They have the largest cookies I have ever seen. And I'm also interested in their dinner options too. Lovely gem!
