What a great experience I've had tonight. If there's anything I love other than good food at a restaurant.. it's customer service. I had an issue where I couldn't reach anyone at this location which is understandable because the food is really good and it gets packed so I went ahead and called the second location in hopes that they were under the same owner in which they were, I lost connection and the owner called me back in the location I could reach. He kindly took my order for the boca location. When I arrived I received my food and was even offered something as an apology for the inconvenience. He didn't have to because taking my order was already a gesture I appreciated but also gifting me another item was above and beyond. I enjoy the food here already but now knowing that the owner takes pride in his business... I love it even more. The manager in the boca location was certain to make sure I got my meal and the extra item. I am grateful and I wish the ultimate success in both businesses and a continuation of expansion! El Gordo de West palm sabe como combinar las salsas mejor obvio, en comparación a este lugar en Boca. Imagina si este fue mi primer ves tratando la comida? Gracias a Dios que se de el otro lugar en West Palm. Bro I eat Gordo burger at least 8-10 times a year in West Palm, but I tried the boca location for fun and it was a HUGE mistake. The hamburger meat felt mushy and jello-like, the pulled beef tasted reheated on a dirty burnt pan, and each flavor of toppings and condiments came at your individually. IT was like a kid put a sloppy burger together and called it Gordo, compared to the West Palm location that properly makes the burger with properly combined flavors. What makes this place a gem is the fact that it's open til 6am on weekends. A group of friends and I went after the club on a Friday around 2am. As females the Gordo burger is huge for one person so I split it with one other person. The burger has a beef patty, shredded beef and shredded chicken (I opted out of the bacon). On top of 3 meats you have melting cheese oozing from the burger, chips and 3 different sauces (including a pineapple sauce and a garlic aioli). The burger just burst with flavor from everywhere. Burger was so good that I had to go back and order empanadas which you get 3 mini beef empanadas for $3 and it comes with the garlic aioli. The burger is made right in front of you all the ingredients are laid out at order area but the empanadas are made to order so they take some time to come out. This food is bomb and inexpensive, I spent $12 total on burger, empanadas and a soda. Also, for going at such late hours it is completely safe. This is one of the best CHEAP eats you can get here in boca. I mean you pay 7.30 us for a big gordo burguer. I love when you end up at a place you'd never initially go to, but once you're there you absolutely love it and can't wait to go again. The other night while trying to get dinner we ended up at La Perrada Del Gordo. The last place we stopped at was closed unexpectedly and thanks to Yelp, we came here. Let me tell you something, it was around 7pm at night on a Sunday and this place was popping. The line was long. The inside was out with a mix between some song featuring Shakira and some sporting event that I wasn't paying attention to. Even the walls are loud with their bring yellow paint. The menu board is in Spanish so I did a lot of Googling as I waited. Once at the front the menu they had came with English descriptions so I knew what I was getting. What I immediately realized about this place was how cheap it was. I ordered the carne asada with fries and ordered a bottle of water and a can of coke. Ten bucks. That's all. Either this was the deal of a lifetime or this was going to taste like garbage.... I noticed a lot of people waiting for what seemed like an absurd amount of time and somehow we got our food before everyone. Not complaining, but am a little worried I may be one of those people next visit. The carne asada was good ( could have been a little warmer). The bad thing was the wooden plate they served it on was wet. Yes, I'm happy they wash them in between servings, but it kind of felt gross to touch. Honestly I would have rather eaten it off of a paper plate. Besides that, it was delicious. The fries reminded me of Greek fries with that amazing breading. So happy I found this place in Boca! We shared: "Toston con todo" - fried plantain (huge) with fried pork, shredded beef and chicken plus all their amazing sauces (pink, white, green and pineapple), the "Gordo Burger" that was literally Heaven on earth!! It had everything in it, Literally!! And arepa rellena - arepa filled with fried pork. To wrap it all up we both had a cookies & cream popsicle for dessert!!! Everything was so delicious!!!!
