    Butter croissants and cherry-cheese danishes
    Tiffany Y.

I am not sure why Yelp lists La Petite Bakery & Cafe as "closed." This small business is family-owned and specializes in making French patisseries (e.g., croissants and danishes), pies, and quiches. The employees make these baked goods from scratch from quality local ingredients. I purchased two types of baked goods: the Cherry Cheese Danish and the Butter Croissant. My husband said that eating them was "not worth the calories," so I ate much of them. I thought that they tasted good.

We were running errands on a cold day and finally had time to stop in and this will definitely not be our last time! The owners are super friendly and could answer any questions we had about the menu. We sat down to enjoy our order at a small table and were blown away from the moment we opened everything up. The Apple Pie was warm and delicious with a crust that was complex but not over done. The apples were still firm and held their shape with the right amount of seasoning and spices. We highly recommend the pie and the Caramel Apple Danish as well. The chocolate croissant really set the experience apart though. The flaky layers with buttery goodness were perfectly wrapped around a strong chocolate center without being too bitter. Each bite was a moment to savor. I spoke to a few other patrons who raved about everything from the lattes to sandwiches. You can even order ahead for larger parties. Make sure to stop by if you're in the area!

I'm a sucker for bakeries, and I finally got to try this one today. I decided to just get one thing, to decide whether it's worth coming back, and I'm glad to say it is! I had the pepperoni croissant, and the crisped cheese alone is worth the price haha. Very yummy. I could've used a bit more pepperoni but maybe that's just personal preference. I'm excited to try some other items. I hope they do well!

Small cafe, has few seats inside and outside. Good coffee and food, a tad bit pricey.

It specifically has the creamy frosting and a really good crust that is cinnamony or something like that. It's not always available, but if so, definitely try it. Also the cannoli cheesecake is sooo good too. They have an extensive menu of many things (see photos of it that I posted) The guy who works there is very welcoming and friendly (I believe his mother owns the cafe) It's a cozy little cafe that definitely has a home style vibe. I'll be going back.

Inside there are display cases filled with baked goods, plenty of tables, and a small, comfortable seating area. They also have some fun seating options, including stools shaped like bagels and donuts, which my kids enjoyed. Even though I went inside, I was not feeling my best, so my wife handled the ordering on this visit. She ended up choosing a hot Snickerdoodle latte for me, which was made with vanilla, honey, and cinnamon. The coffee ended up being quite good. The drink started with a pleasant sweetness and a prominent cinnamon flavor before the rich coffee notes emerged on the finish. Since the espresso still came through despite the flavorings, I suspect they use a fairly robust espresso blend. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our drinks, and the baked goods looked tempting as well. My wife and daughter had visited previously and enjoyed the food, which only gives me another reason to come back and try more of the menu.

I walked in when they opened the door today. It was just the owner there. I chatted with him a little while, apparently he and his wife own the place. I bought a load of sour dough and a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread. Both loom great. I then wanted a breakfast sandwich and asked what he would get if he was picking for himself. He said the homemade sour dough English muffin with egg, sausage and cheese is a good choice so I listened. It don't take long for him to fix it. They have no seating inside but have a table or two outside. I actually ate my sandwich right away. It was delicious. I'm glad to support local businesses and this is a good one to support.

They have many types of sourdough bread and their sourdough English muffins are awesome. They also make some pastries and have cookies and usually a few cakes. Since it is Thanksgiving this time they had a couple nice looking pumpkin pie pies. They were quite busy because of custom orders for the Thanksgiving holiday. But there was no line and I was in and out quickly. You can park right outside in the small lot. Their sign is a little bit hard to see from the road, but they are in the plaza with a pizza place and the liquor store near the shop and save supermarket on third Avenue. I highly recommend that if you need sourdough bread that you check this place out.

It's located in Sewickley on Walnut street right off Broadway. The shop itself is tiny and whenever I got inside there was a cop and a lady with a dog. The 3 (or 4) of us filled up the waiting/ordering area. There was a freezer case filled with Leona's ice cream sandwiches and then a display cooler with cold drinks in it. Lastly they had a clear shelf on the counter with some muffins in it. I was a little sad it wasn't filled with the pastries I had seen photos of, but I guess it wasn't the right day. After looking at the menu I decided to order a 16 oz Cuban while my wife went with a 12 oz mocha. Since the others had already been waited on, it took only a few minutes and we had our coffees and were on our way. My Cuban ended up being quite good as it had the perfect amount of sweetness to it that it complimented the milk and coffee without overpowering it. Then the coffee itself was strong and rich while the milk did it's part. My wife also really enjoyed her mocha from here. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both of our coffees were good and i hope that the next time that we stop by that they have some pastries as well.

I didn't have my gift cards with me today but decided it was time to treat myself anyway. I had the Cappuccino- it was strong and hot! There is a very little room once inside. I was one of 3 patrons there but it was fine for me and they make their drinks pretty fast. I will come back again and try their other drink items.

After reading some of the reviews here, clearly we're not the only ones. Here's our horrific, and hilarious, experience: We wandered in during Beaver County Boom, and when the owner, Jonathan, saw us enter, he turned to what appeared to be an employee and said, "You have to make the customers feel like they interrupted you doing something really important," and proceeded to sarcastically roll his eyes at us, saying we were interrupting their philosophical discussion about the Catholic church--we hadn't even been greeted yet. I thought this was quite the bold gamble to play on his part, since he had no idea if we would play along or be offended with the "joke". At first, I did play along because I love a good bit. But instead of taking our orders, he proceeded to ask us very personal questions for the next half-hour, such as where we lived, what we did for work, and (my) ethnicity... This guy is a nut. At one point, he said to my partner, "Don't worry, you'll grow out of the hipster look in a few years," with a laugh. He pointed to the only Black person in the mostly empty café and called them "Black Mamba", and as we saw two Black women approach the café from the window, he said, "Here come my chocolate queens!" (He is 100% visibly white. I am a person of color writing this.) He and his wife had a cooler of Angry Orchards (alcohol) sitting on the counter, and they offered some to us for completely free. We were already weirded out, so we declined. After my partner had finally ordered his drink, Jonathan pressured me into getting a drink as well, even though I already had one from another business. I had a Joe's Tea, and Jonathan guilt-tripped me by saying I wasn't supporting small businesses until I ordered a smoothie. When someone else started leaving the café, Jonathan yelled, "Wait, where are you going?!" and the girl nervously answered, "I might be back later," before she left. During our unwanted, hostage-style conversation, Jonathan acted like the musical expert in the room despite my partner and I sharing that we both hold degrees in music, and would only speak directly to my partner about it even after my partner tried to loop me into the conversation several times. When Jonathan started in on Eminem and cancel culture, we finally bowed out. The drinks were pretty good, not gonna lie, but do not go unless you're welcoming this kind of experience! It does make for a good laugh
