Came here for a wedding reception. Some of the food was pretty tasty (potatoes, appetizers-- stuffed mushrooms, meatballs, breaded chicken. It was a beautiful venue (if you ignore the awkward paintings on the wall), and the service staff and bartenders did a great job. Let me start by saying I've been coming here for years and never had a bad meal, even the one that almost killed me still tasted delicious. So I got the chicken parmesan and a salad two days ago, and within a few hours I was violently expelling it. 2.5 stars. I must say I was disappointed with my last visit here. I have never really though highly of the food, but this time I actually think I have to say its sub par. "Bryan's caviteli" seems to be one of the dishes they are known for, and I can't really see why. The caviteli itself tasted rubbery and the sauce was just butter really. A couple thin strips of basil and a few chopped tomatoes were basically unnoticeable. I tried a few other apps and entrees and they all disappointed me about equally. Other than the mozzerella cheese sticks/balls app. That was excellent. Soft, fluffy, cheesy and great flavor. Felt like it was made at a different restaurant. This feels like mass produced Italian food and corners feel cut. I know they do great business for large parties/banquets/weddings. And I'm sure it's fine for those events. First of all, let me say we have been going here for years and have always loved it. Thought it would be a special dinner tonight for my parents 54th anniversary. There were 8 of us at dinner. Our waitress was the worst. Did not check with us regularly, food took an extra long time to get to the table. We asked if we could place an order to go and the waitress said it will have to be later she was too busy. When one of the parties complained about the dinner they ordered, he was told the chef said it was fine, just don't order it again if you don't like it. Worst service ever. Even if they were busy she could have been a bit more polite. By the way, for Canton area they were not that busy. When we got there at 5 pm there were only 4 cars in the lot. Really disappointed and not sure when or if I will try to go back any time soon. Five stars for consistency in home cooked Italian cuisine. I even worked there back in the day when they were in East Canton. The new place is amazing and atmospheric. I just called to make reservations for their 2015 Easter buffet- pricey at $21.95 per adult, $20.95 for seniors. I haven't been to this place in several years so I was excited to go back this past week. I was very disappointed. I am hoping it was just an off day or maybe I ordered the worst items on the menu because I don't remember it being like this. My food lacked flavor. I could have poured tomato sauce and water on my pasta & it would have tasted the same. The cheesecake tasted more like cottage cheese.... and I normally love cheesecake :-( On an good note though the server was great and the wedding soup was pretty tasty. The food use to be good at this location. They must be getting too big because we just had a family event at this location and the food was not worth eating. Sent most of the food back to the kitchens garbage can. Entree was cold (egg plant), almost all breading that was deep fried, pasta sauce was bland and others were making negative comments about the Veal, their pasta and even the salad... who screws up a salad! All I can say is "Holy Moley"!!! My wife and I ate here for the first time last Friday and it was the bomb! My wife had a seafood and pasta dish (I can't remember the name) with a wonderful cream sauce with a house salad and I had the Veal Parmagean with a house salad as well and they were both fantastic! We also had the appetizer medley which was wonderful too! The homemade bread was fresh and delicious, and the house garlic butter spread just put it over-the-top! Oh, and we shared a wonderful bottle of Pinot Noir which was also reasonably priced! The decor and Christmas decorations were beautiful and the staff was polite, friendly and very attentive. The price was very reasonable for the huge portions (I dare anyone to finish everything) and couldn't help but notice all the patrons leaving with to go boxes! Went for my birthday yesterday. Our reservations were for 7 pm 8 people. We arrived, the table was ready, and the service that followed was outstanding. My husband and I love the veal parm, that is one of the reason we go there. Everyone else at the table got different menu selections and were most happy with their choices. All our meals arrived together and hot. Their pasta is not from a box, it can't be. Thank you La Pizzaria for keeping alive quality Italian food at an affordable price. We are always on a quest for great Fettuccine Alfredo. Unfortunately, La Pizzaria doesn't have it. We are willing to bet that it comes from a jar or can. The rest of the food (including the Chicken Parm.) was very blah, although we did very much enjoy that bread and butter that came complimentary. The server was not impolite but certainly not friendly. The decor is just horrible. It feels like you are in a giant pink marshmallow with Italian accents. The prices are very high for the quality of food you receive. We'll keep searching for great Italian food in the Canton area, and now we have checked another restaurant on our list of where to not return. read more

Went here with a total of eight people (4 couples) for one with a birthday! Most people ordered the side salad which was good. I ordered the French onion for my soup. They had only one size priced as large which was really a small. This soup was awful. It was about lukewarm and poorly made. The cheese was okay, but the soup looked and tasted like dishwater. I prefer a better item than basic bread in it too. The main courses for all was acceptable and large portions. My Chicken parmigiana over linguine was okay and sauce basic but acceptable. I have had a lot better elsewhere! The service was a little slow but got slower when doing the pay portion. One waitress was friendly others were all business. Place was loud talking! Parking is big. Rest rooms not used cannot say. The layout is semi-fancy, spacious, large, banquet rooms extra nice! The bought a large building next door and is in the process of remodeling it. The Marsh/Thomas wedding was held in the Fresca room and we could not have been more pleased. The food was outstanding and the service was top notch. Great parking, convenient location for our out of town guests and the building was just perfect for a wedding. Had our own private room the night before for rehearsal dinner and enjoyed some of the best pizza in town. From the original contact through the final moments the experience was fantastic! read more

First off, I really want to like this place. However, after two visits I can say that I do not like nor recommend this restaurant. The interior is overdone, but I like that. Makes it feel like more of an 'experience.' Then service began. If I order a sweet tea (that comes from a dispenser behind the bar - not freshly brewed) I expect it to be refilled with sweet tea, not just cold weak tea. The menu is huge. This should set off an alarm to anyone dining here. With such a gigantic menu you have to know the food quality will not be that good...and it isn't. I finally decided on the wild mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce with a salad as my side. All I can say is the salad was the best part of the meal. It was a great mix of greens and perfect size. Enough about that - if you reading this you don't want to know about my salad! My entree arrived and looked delicious, but the deliciousness ended there. I would be surprised if the raviolis were not pre-made and cooked from frozen. They were just too perfect and the dough was quite thick. Mushrooms did not taste fresh inside at all. If you are only putting three raviolis on a plate, at least make them in house! Then there was the cream sauce... The cream sauce LITERALLY tasted and looked like canned cream of chicken soup. Overwhelmingly chicken flavored that drowned out any mushroom flavor. As stated earlier, I really want to like this place and only offer this review as assistance to ownership to offer more authentic Italian dishes! The prices seem to make it appear that you will be. I came here with a large party so our service was in the party room rather than in the restaurant. The staff were attentive and patient with our group. I did not feel like they were bothered by our slowness to place orders which was nice. Once we did order, our food came quickly. The mozzarella cheese on a stick- loved! I ordered the sausage and peppers with linguine. I was expecting sliced sausage pieces and peppers mixed into a red sauce over noodles. The sausages were in whole links with pepper slices on the side. The pasta and sauce was served on the side of the sausage and peppers. Taste was good, just not what I was expecting. read more

We had our daughter wedding reception there. They make promises they do not keep. One example is they agreed to flexible seating but when we arrived they changed the seating chart and there were people without seats. Embarrassing! They also did not refill the cookie trays and I took home hundreds of cookies the next day. Again, I was embarrassed because guests had made cookies that were never put out. I will never plan a party or go to La Pizzaria again. I had made a reservation for a retirement party for Nov 8th and put down a $50.00 deposit. I was not told at the time that it was non-refundable. We had to cancel it and I called today-16 days notice- to cancel and was informed now that the deposit is non-refundable. What kind of way is that to do business??!! I wish I had all good things to say about my visit today. Unfortunately, I don't. My husband and I arrived at 11:45 am on a Sunday morning. We walked in with another party (not with us). The server at the front seemed to know them and greeted and sat them immediately. We were not acknowledged and stood there a good 3-4 minutes with other employees walking around ignoring our existence. Finally, a busser came over and sat us. He was nice. Then we sat another 4-5 minutes with no server coming to the table to get a drink order. There was a table on each side of us and their servers were getting their orders and totally ignoring us. Finally, Matt, came over and took our drink orders. He was very polite and attentive. We ordered a large pizza and an order of red lasagna. In the meantime we ate salad and bread, which was very good. It took a good 20 minutes for our food to arrive to the table. Matt, our server came over and apologized because they made our pizza a small instead of a large. We decided to take the small, but my husband made sure Matt knew to charge us for only a small pizza. The lasagna and pizza were very good and very hot. So for service, not such a good review, but for food, very good. read more

Just attended a large event at their new Piazza. Was excited to see and try since we considered booking our daughters wedding there. The atmosphere was pretty and spacious but oh my gracious, the food was shameful! It was served "family style" with people at the tables that were strangers. There were 10 women to a table and there was not enough food to go around! The last unlucky person to get passed to did not get that part of the meal. The pieces of chicken (which there were only 10 looked like a quarter of a chicken breast pounded paper thin. One woman at the table got no potatoes, one got no green beans and I had a tablespoon of salad. Tickets for this event were $40 per person and everyone left hungry! The food was not even good. Thank goodness we booked my daughters wedding elsewhere. I would have been mortified! Next time I will pass and go somewhere that gives a normal portion. When women go away hungry, you know you have blown it. Sorry. read more
