We came here after an awful experience with 4 queens, hoping to get some decent Mexican food. The chips and salsa were good, guacamole Mexicano was pretty decent, but the main entrees were bland as bland could be. I got the chicken chimichangas, but I'm pretty sure the chicken had been boiled to death in plain water. It was dry and flavorless in the chimichangas, and the soup that my counterpart had. This place is a must-stop anytime we are in Bryson City. They have astonishingly good corn tortillas that are made in-house. Honestly some of the best tortillas I have ever had. Some of the food could have some more spice, but I guess there is not much market for it in the Appalachians. read more

There are literally a dozen Mexican restaurants in this area. This is hands down the best and most consistent. The staff is friendly. The food is fresh and served fast. Some of the other Mexican places in the area have off days where the food isn't so great (I'm looking at you El Patron) or you have to wait forever for a table (still looking at you EP). Poblana has a cozy vibe and they always make you feel welcome. Another added bonus is there are a ton of good spots to eat outside along the river if you choose to take it to go. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would! Firstly, the owners and staff are amazing people, They are closed Sunday's but opened just to accommodate our November 11th small mountain wedding.. they went above and beyond for us and our small party. My husband and I were touched by the sincere kindness and genuine care we received. And the food and drinks were absolutely delicious, not one person in our party had anything negative to say. Everyone left satisfied and happy. The beans are probably the best I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant, the corn tortillas are homemade and beyond delicious. The food is fresh and flavorful and the portions are very nice for the price. The restaurant is small and quaint and decorated very nicely. We had an amazing meal and and amazing experience that will be forever engraved in our hearts. We vacation in Bryson City yearly and we will be making a stop here from now on. If you're in Bryson city visiting or if you live there make sure you stop in and try one of their margaritas and any one of their delicious entrees, you won't regret it! read more

Was very happy when a new Mexican place opened in town. I have been very dissatisfied with the other Mexican place in town. This is a great little place. The staff is super friendly, the servings are generous, and the food tastes really good. I've been here 4 or 5 times now and definitely will be back. Only negatives are parking can be tight and they can be really slow when they are busy. It's good enough to overcome those though. Highly recommended. read more

Good food at a reasonable price! This Mexican spot is in a random location but luckily yelp took us to it! We called in takeout which was ready in 25 minutes, we all inhaled it! Such good food-enchiladas verdes with delicious sauce, veggie burrito was stuffed with fresh veggies, and chimichangas! The tostada wasn't what we consider a "normal" one it wasn't on a fried tortilla but more so a sandwich? Kind of weird but tasted alright. Some pretty great food! My fajitas were seasoned amazingly! And the meat was moist and tender! Hubby got a carne asada burrito and they melted cheese over the top, it was exceptional! Even their salsa was really good with the chips they bring out in the beginning! The staff was friendly, attentive and quick! It didn't take them long to bring our orders out!
