A small business that deserves all the support and attention. Initially stumbled upon this location a year ago when I was shopping at Clarksburg Premium Outlets and it made such a lasting impression that I finally was able to come back for round two. They specialize in Colombian street food, particularly empanadas and hot dogs. Service is quick and they make everything to order. They have a couple of tables and chairs in front of their set-up to enjoy the food. The perro caliente is the star of their menu; I've never had anything like it before coming here. In addition to your standard hot dog, they add mozzarella cheese and onions topped with pineapple sauce, mayoketchup, garlic mayo, and crushed potato chips. The combination sounds wild but the flavors cohesively come together for a delicious bite. I don't even like hot dogs but I was sold in the unique sweet and savory combination of sauces + the incorporation of potato chips. As for the empanada, you can't go wrong with any of their offerings. I've had both the chicken and beef and they were both so tasty. They fry them on the spot and the shell has the perfect crisp with every bite. It comes with a dipping sauce which I believe is one of their mayo sauces which definitely elevates the empanadas. They also offer frozen empanadas that you could take home! I wish I lived closer to enjoy their offerings on the regular. We saw this on the way in and doubled back after we unloaded out first wave of shopping bags into the car. I'm not sure why, but I already knew this spot was gonna be fire. There just had to be something to it. Here is this tiny little booth just big enough for the lady inside it to turn left and right, and she's selling empanadas and arepas. We ended up getting a chicken, beef, and a cheese arepa. All three were delicious. The meat was tender and moist, and the sauce she put on it was amazing. I have a thing for trying every empanada I can so when I came to do some shopping at the outlets, I was excited to see that they had an empanada stand along with Colombian style hot dogs. I went ahead and ordered two empanadas, one beef and one chicken. As expected, these empanadas are not fresh to order. The employee retrieved them from a frozen pack and fried them. Now, I have tried a bunch of empanadas, but I suppose I have never tried Colombian style empanadas because these did not hit the spot. The dough wasn't really dough, but rather crunchy and tasted like fritos chips -- I did not expect this texture at all. Instead of flour, they used corn meal for Colombian style empanadas. The beef filling was not ground beef like I am used to, but instead it was pulled beef and the same goes for the chicken one. For 2.50 each, they are filled with a fair amount of meat. I wouldn't mind a little bit more seasoning, but the sauces give the needed extra push. Come here if you like your empanadas crunchy, but def stay away if that's not your type! read more

I love this little food truck/trailer/camper establishment. I saw it from from the road and I was more intrigued by the camper than the food at that moment. It looks like a nice little surfing cabana for road trips. And then I tried the food...OMG.. Admittedly, I may have some bias here being that Colombia is one of my favorite countries ever to visit so this bias might favor their cuisine. The food here was so good that we in fact ordered TWICE. I can safely vouch that I have tried possibly everything on the menu. I think the lovely owners were so surprised by our Man vs. Food eating approach they gave us a trucker hat that my boyfriend has not taken off yet and some reusable bags. Now onto the food.. We ordered the beef empanadas twice. Perfect fried goodness that come with a fantastic chopped green sauce. The sanguche la pote ria was by far my favorite item. A pork sandwich on french bread, lots of onions with chipotle sauce and lime and cilantro. Lots of cilantro!!! The Colombian banh mi. It was tangy and mildly spicy. The PerroCaliente, was another favorite with the quail egg, crushed potato chips, bacon, cheese and pineapple sauce. The cheeseburger us equally tasty with similar toppings. While shopping at an outlet my friend for a couple hours, my friend and I wanted a quick snack to keep us going. On the upper level of Clarksburg outlet we saw La Pote-Ria food truck and I was super excited since I love eating at food trucks. The menu was relatively small, so it was easy to choose what I wanted to try! Since I wanted something small before lunch I ended up getting a beef empanada. The beef empanada came out immediately, and at first glance I thought it was quite small for the price. However when I ate it, it was full of flavor! It was the perfect size for a quick snack. Overall, If I'm ever at Clarksburg outlet I will definitely look for La Pote-Ria food truck because it was a nice quick snack! Such a cute little food truck! I ordered the Arepas chicken and my boyfriend got the Arepas chorizo. The total of the two was about $12. It was pretty good! I prefer the chicken over the chorizo. Delicious! I'm so glad I stopped by while at the outlet. I tried the chicken empanada, Columbia hotdog, and chicken arepa. You'll notice I have no picture of the empanada - that's bc I inhaled it walking to the car. I've had my fair share of empanadas - this is one of the best. The meat was tender and the filling was flavorful. My favorite was that the outside was corn. The corn dough was so soft. Corn can sometimes be dry and tough but not this one! The Columbia hotdog was really yummy - lots of flavors. She pulled out an entire tray of different sauces to put on it. Whatever the sauces were, they made it perfect. The hotdog bun was fresh too. (I note that because dry buns can be a thing almost anyplace you go to). The arepa filling was/is really good. I got too full after the previous two. Will have to save for later. I wanted to try everything! Can't wait to go back for more empanadas and whatever else they have. The ladies running the truck were also super nice. Such a great find. GO and get a waffle sandwich with a coffee!! It's a gem tucked away in the Montgomery village shopping center. Actually, a gem in general! i loved the waffle sandwich. The coffee was perfect. As I previously mentioned, my husband and I were turning into Wendy's for a quick dinner to avoid cooking as we had just come back from out of town. I cannot rave enough about the perfect placement of this adorable food truck(camper?) as it caught our eye before we entered the drive through line, so we went towards it to take a look at the menu. Columbian street food? Yes, yes, yes!! My husband and I ordered the chuzopan, one with onions, one without onions, two queso arepas and 2 politas(sp?). The arepas were fine, but honestly nothing to write home about except that the external pocket had an interesting crunch to it. The chuzopan was made with fantastically marinated steak, some lite cabbage(or crunchy veggie that added great texture, but did not take away from the AMAZING steak) and smothered in two kinds of sauces with a yummy soft bread. Wow, wow, wow, if we could have had another 4, it would not have been enough. What a delectable and perfectly satisfying dish. To me, this was the clear winner. My husband however, is still having dreams about the polita. It's squeaky cheese(variation of cotija?) wrapped in a tortilla with guava and fried which creates a warm brie and fig jam-esque experience. This place is amazing. We had a very scary situation today at the outlets involving a stolen car, the police, and our other car in a ditch!! A very kind worker here gave us water bottles on the house more than once as we waited in the hot sun for the police, statements, and the tow truck, and were truly concerned about us. Made a terrible day much more tolerable. After the dust had settled, we wanted to come and support them so we ordered some empanadas. WOW! The cheese one was our favorite, but all were outstanding. The best I have ever had. The truck is also adorable with a really nice menu board. It feels very personal and homey and cute. I really enjoyed the entire food experience and it seems very authentic. So a few weeks ago I drove my foodie butt to Clarksburg, MD to check out the Colombian food cart @lapoteria! I tried their hot dog and their chicken arepa. The hotdog was interesting to say the least. It has crushed potatoes chips, some type of ketchup and mayo mixture, garlic mayo, and some type of egg ( maybe it's a quail egg). I liked all the flavors but I think it would have been better with a large sausage. As you can see from my picture you can't even see the hot dog . The arepa was decent, but honestly I have had better. Both cooks were very nice to me and the little cart was cool. I'm not sure I will drive that far again for their food, but I definitely things you guys should give them a shot! read more

Best Empanadas, stuffed Arepas and little orange sauce in this area. So much flavor in every single bite. Wow! We ordered 3 empanadas de carne, 2 Arepa de Carne, and 1 arepa y chorizo. It comes with this orange like sauce on top or on the side and it's delicious. Very Colombian style food which was so amazing to have at a reasonable price. We spent about $26 after two drinks. Hard to find at first but I called the number and the lady told between field 15&16. Found them! We will be coming back here every chance we get. We loved it! I've had Colombian food before and I've never been let down because it's always flavorful and delicious. However, La Pote-Ria is the one exception. The food deserves a 1 out of 5 stars. I wouldn't recommend this place nor would I ever have it again. I ordered an arepa. It was stuffed with chicken, cheese, and mushrooms. The arepa was cold. It was pre-made and when it was served, it wasn't even heated up. The stuffing in the arepa was bland. It's almost like they went to Giant, bought rotisserie chicken pulled it apart, and stuffed the arepa with the chicken. The chicken had zero seasoning. The thing that actually made the arepa somewhat edible was the chipotle sauce. I paid $10 for the arepa and a can of coke. It was way over priced!! Had the opportunity to try this place at the Clarksburg outlets today. I was highly impressed by the service and how good the empanadas were! We tried the cheese, chicken, and beef empanada and the Colombian soda for $8.50. The empanadas were fresh, crisp and delicious! The sauce that came with it just topped everything off, I wish I could buy the sauce. The Colombian soda reminded me of a mix of Peruvian Inca Cola/ Salvadoran Cola Champagne. I can't wait to munch on these when I go back to the outlets. read more

It's hard not to be excited about a food truck so close to home. We ordered a sampling of their food and enjoyed all of it. The only complaint would be that it's unusual to have to wait for food at a food truck. Luckily, the gas station is fairly large and doesn't seem to mind people hanging out in their cars waiting for the order. We tried the beef empanadas, chuzopan, a couple of arepas, and a palito.
