Delicious Mexican food! I never had tetelas but I love them now. Will definitely come back. I Friendly service. No place to sit down yet but I hear they will set out picnic tables soon.

I was super excited to try Hijos Del Maiz after hearing so much about it, and I can't wait to eat there again soon! Everything is prepared fresh, and special care is taken with presentation even though the orders are to go. I loved the pickled vegetables (escabeche) that came with the tostadas which gave it some bite, and I thought the price was extremely reasonable given the quantity and quality of the food. The beef barbacoa was tender and flavorful. The red sauce on the side has some kick! Green sauce is very mild. Looking forward to trying more dishes.

Hard to miss, bright yellow food truck serving authentic Mexican eats made by a Michelin trained chef! The Michelin part and the fact that they nixtamalize their own corn tortillas had me intrigued. Located outside a gas station parking lot, got gas and some amazing tostadas! Service was quick- about a 5 minute wait. Tried a barbacoa and a carnita tostada- I liked the barbacoa one as the meat was nicely seasoned. Both were tasty and delicious. If in the area, I'd come again to try more!

Amazing food at this food truck the torta is the best Ive had and the tacos are excellent. The torta is fried chicken that is perfectly crispy with mayo avocado and some veggies. The bread is soft and sweet. The tacos are fresh with great flavor. I got the bistec, chicken asada, and barbacoa. All were rick and tender. The chicken had a nice balance of seasonings that I enjoyed. Service was quick you get a buzzer that lets you know when it's ready. It's in a gas station parking lot and there's mo where to sit yet but said they have some in the summer.

Really enjoy the Mexican food from this food truck! Recently tried the food when they were at saints row brewing. It was a busy day (lager fest) but they were efficient and the food came out quickly. They also let me order just one item instead of multiples which were on the menu which I appreciated. Got the chicken tostado which was a good size and hit the spot! Also liked their salsa. My only wish is that they add chips and guacamole as an option soon. As it's a food truck - the ambiance was more hole in the wall feel which I loved- will definitely order again!

Really tasty tacos! We tried the carnitas which were incredibly flavorful! The tortilla was also perfect. Reasonable prices for three tacos. Overall, really enjoyed! And really quick too!!

New food truck alert! I drove 45 minutes in the rain to try tacos from this Michelin rated chef. He's worked in a few highly rated restaurants in DC, and finally has his own spot. A small friendly staff. A simple menu, and just plain delicious food. The pollo asada tacos were great. He hand makes the corn tortillas, which h I usually don't like, but these were delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. It was a street taco done right. The salsa verde was more of an avocado cream. And the pickled habanero onions added a slight kick. The ingredients were fresh. Just an all around good taco. The barbacoa quesadilla was also a hit. The beef was juicy, flavorful, and tender. The tortilla was grilled to perfection, and the sour cream added a cool contrast to the richness of the beef. If you're I. The Rockville area, or passing through... go check them out!

A little pricier than other taco spots but you can tell their tortilla is hand made and quality. My favorite was their carne asada tacos and their beef barbacoa quesadilla was delicious. The chicken asada was also surprisingly good. When you order, they hand you a buzzer because they hand press and prepare the masa tortilla when you order.

    Quesadilla 10/10!

Wow!! The best tacos in Moco! From the restaurant quality, fine cuts, and the pricing, you can't beat this.

    Tostadas!!! Deliciosa!

Wow! I saw this truck on @nomtastickim IG page. I've driven past this spot many times on Rockville Pike. So glad I stopped by. I ordered the tostadas (one refried bean and the other beef barbacoa). Full of flavor and it's like a quick snack just a little messy. The order comes with two tostadas so you can mix and match. I wish I ordered four! Stop by and try it out yourself. Definitely going to try other menu items.

This is the spot for amazing barbacoa and hand made tortillas! If you are looking to try a new place and support local, I highly recommend coming here. After a 25 minute wait, we enjoyed the tetelas, quesadillas and tacos. I wish the size of the tetelas was a little larger for the price but, nonetheless, everything was delicious. Bring a beverage and come enjoy some delicious bites!

The tacos had a good flavor and the tortillas were yummy but the amount of fat in them was outrageous. This is all the fat I got from three tacos! With the price of the tacos, there shouldn't be this much fat!

I ordered carryout, including a pulled chicken Gordita, a pulled goat meat Gordita for the same amount, some chicken tacos (soft flour shell with white meat grilled, chopped chicken topped with very little), and the Tacos Dorados (fried tacos stuffed with shredded chicken and topped with green salsa and cheese). Pictures are from when I got home with my food. Needless to say, for $32 or so (which includes a 20% tip), I had enough food for 3 meals. The Gorditas, while not necessarily healthy, definitely fill you up. The Tacos Dorados were very good for a late night, post drinking (water, of course!), dinner, and the chicken tacos were excellent for a next-day lunch. Accompanying my food were two different sauces -- a red sauce that did not have much flavor, but was scorching hot on the palette and a green sauce that was very tasty and moderate in heat. Overall, an outstanding choice for authentic Mexican food that was very, very good.

It was very filling and delicious & it comes with two spicy sauces (1 Green 1 Orange) on the side. This place left a great impression on me. ***on a side note, they have a taco Tuesday deal, 3 tacos for $10 :)

There were about two tables occupied so I didn't understand why the tacos took as long as they did. The employees were really nice and apologetic for the wait. I tried them as soon as we got home, which was shortly after, and they were already really cold. Although I'm a cheese lover, these were just too much for me. The cheese was an overkill and took away from the actual steak. I instantly got nauseous and couldn't enjoy them.

I placed my order over the phone immediately received two star service from the woman I was speaking to. She barely understood what I was ordering. Walked in and wasn't greeted at the register. I tried to explain to them they needed to update the menus online and the woman that was more fluent in English said the "people" won't update it (whatever that means) and the pupusas been two dollars for a couples of years now.
