Food is great here. I had the pork tamales with rice and beans. Chips and salsa were good. Salsa had a really good kind of smoky taste. I would not recommend dining here if it is super cold outside since, they have one entry door and when it opens it lets all of the cold air in. Also, this is probably good advice for any Mexican restaurant - do not wear clothes here that you don't want to smell like Mexican food. That goes for your coat too. I've had take out from here, but this was my first dine in experience. What a cute place. It's small, with about 7-8 tables. It was busy on a Saturday night. The decor is bright & lively. Murals painted on 2 of the walls. Great vibe & energy. Friendly service & very attentive. We had chips, salsa & guacamole. The guac was $10. Huge serving. So smooth & mild. It came with pico de gallo. I loved all of the salsas too. My grilled shrimp tacos were amazing. The slaw & chopped mango was fresh & flavorful. The green sauce it came with was so delicious. I've been here thrice. If I would've written this review after my first two visits, this would've been FIVE stars. We've had the Caldo De Res, Pozole and Citrus Steak Tacos. All delicious the first two times we've gone. I mean. Literally my new fave spot for Mexican food. The rice. To die for. And I base my Mexican spots by the rice. Spot on. The first two visits, our server was Jennifer. The sweetest girl. I know she's decades younger than me but I feel like we could be friends. Hit me up, Jennifer. Imma a great friend. This last time was disappointing in comparison. My server was lacking. We were always waiting on her. When she came to our table, she was super sweet but we saw her very little. When the food was served, my tortillas were not. I chose to go to the counter to ask for them. When they were brought, they were flour and not corn. So again, I went to the counter to let them know. If I would've waited, I still would be there. Of course, I'm exaggerating. But only slightly. We did sit in the far back corner and they were busy but still. The first two times we went they were busy. Actually. They're always busy. Cuz they're GOOD. Usually. And my soup was "off". My Caldo tasted to different than the first two times I had it. I'm chalking it up to a bad night. And we were waiting and waiting for our check. We finally went up to the counter AGAIN so that we could pay. It's slightly frustrating. The rice. Still so good. One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in a long time. It's very small, maybe 10 tables. The staff is very friendly. The hot salsa was served warm, not used to that, and I don't know if I am a fan of it being warm, but it was good. We had the large-size queso. We didn't expect it to be in a bowl this big. We both got enchiladas in red sauce. My mom got the cheese and onions, and I got the picadillo beef. Usually, the red sauce has too much cumin or something for me, but this was just right. I didn't have to fight with the corn tortillas either. They were soft as butter. If you are in town and want some great Mexican, I highly suggest you come here. read more

Hubby and I stopped in around noon in May, hungry and ready to eat. It was small, tight, and busy but we were seated and I ordered two Flautas and hubby ordered the grilled fish tacos. I also ordered a lemonade, which was tasting real good and glad the food didn't take too long. Unfortunately, I wasn't overly thrilled with my Flautas, the shell hard and the filling rather dry. It came with a little guac and sour cream but left me looking for something else to add. Hubby was happier with his fish tacos and indeed the plate looked attractive and the tacos tasted good. But there, again, when I asked, was told the fish is talapia, which we usually avoid. Still needing something to finish the meal, we ordered one flan to share but found it a bit small and just a little lumpy. The wait staff was pleasant, the ambiance busy and generally happy with music running in the background. First time visitor today. Food was excellent and authentic. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The chairs are metal and hard but it seems like it's family owned and they're getting going. Tacos were on point and we will definitely be back to try the other dishes. The place was full and even though it's not a large space it didn't feel like we were packed in like some other small places.
