The place is small and parking isn't that easy (especially on weekends), so definitely come early. They also sell out of pastries and sweets/desserts pretty quickly, so early is key if you want the full selection. My faves: the ham or salmon croissant, the fruit tarts, and the quiche. Brunch was so tasty and filling. We were recommended the platters or benedicts, so my partner got the Mixed Platter and I got the Salmon Benedict. We also loved the ratatouille, a vegetable stew. The quiche is very popular - almost every table orders it. It's delicious- thick but soft and very fluffy. The crepes are delicious and authentic. The pastries are delicious - especially the raspberry beignets. What I like about this place are the owners who are very personal- they care about their customers and often come and speak with their patrons to make sure everything is to their satisfaction - you can tell people that come often come back and know the owners. tl;dr: Overall, this place is casual, chill, and the food is delicious. We had a great experience here on Easter morning. Food is amazing. We got escargot, a salmon Benedict croissant, and a chicken crepe with mushroom. Escargot is tender, with the garlic butter it goes really well with the baguette. I've had escargot dishes across many fine dining establishments, and the dish here is also top notch. Salmon croissant has a great balance and is simply satisfying to eat. I ordered the Crepe Supreme. Generally, I'm not a big cheese lover but the cheese on this crepe is cooked very nicely and I enjoy it. The portion is pretty big too. I could've just stopped at the first piece, but couldn't help but finishing the whole thing because it is so good. I only have nice things to say about the service here because everyone is warm and friendly. Pacing is great and my coffee gets refilled promptly. It feels chill and relaxing, and no one bothers us with weird timing check-ins when we have food in our mouth. Our total comes out to $70 for 2 people. We were seated quite promptly and our servers immediately came to take our order. We all ordered coffees and pastries (chocolate, regular, almond) and they were astounding. While we were at Coachella, we were looking for a place to get brunch around Palm Spring to fuel us for the long day ahead. One of the places that was recommended online near our hotel was L'Atelier Cafe, and as a fan of French cuisine I was interested in checking it out. The inside is on the smaller side with just a few tables, but thankfully we didn't have to wait too long before we got seated. For my dish I decided to get the Plateau de Fromage, which comes with cheeses like Brie, Gruyere, and Fourme d'Ambert alongside some fig preserve and baguette bread. I also decided to add some pate, prosciutto, and Jambon Paris for some meat in the platter. This was a great meal for me, since I'm a big fan of charcuterie boards and this dish offers a lot of variety in the ingredients to try. The food was also very fresh with pretty good portions so I think that it was worth the price. Overall, if you're a fan of French cuisine then this is a good place to check out! read more

What a delicious surprise! While on a road trip to Palm Springs, we stopped at this small looking restaurant because of the French flag at the entrance. It was one of the busiest place on the plaza. I really wanted to like this place -- the setting and concept had me excited, and I came in with high hopes. Unfortunately, the food quality just didn't live up to expectations. I'm not sure if it's due to a change in ownership, management, or sourcing, but something seems off. The croque madame was the biggest letdown. The bread tasted like basic white sandwich bread, the ham lacked depth or quality, and the eggs seemed conventional rather than fresh and flavorful. The cappuccino was also disappointing -- flat and unbalanced -- and even the butter didn't have that rich, golden quality you'd expect from a French-inspired café. Service was polite but a bit inattentive, and at about $70 for two people, the overall experience didn't reflect the price point. We debated going to Farm or Cheeky's and decided to give this spot a try, but it just didn't measure up. We ordered coffee and a vegetable croissant with avocado and a quiche Lorraine. Charming ambience, French on the radio, friendly service. The quiche was about four inches high, with a lovely crust. Warm fluffy scrambled eggs with spinach, tomato and cheese filled the flaky, crisp croissant. This was a hearty, quick and satisfying breakfast option.
