After our original FIFA watch party plans fell through, we ended up at CitizenM with a group of six and were pleasantly surprised by how great the experience was. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, making it the perfect place to watch the match. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and kept drinks coming throughout the game. The food was also excellent--everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and arrived quickly. Despite the stress of our earlier plans falling apart, the team at CitizenM helped turn our day around and gave us a fantastic place to enjoy the event together. The proximity and location of this hotel is extremely convenient. We were able to walk to absolutely everything we wanted to do while in downtown Seattle. We were here to experience the area for the day and it made for the perfect walk up and down the strip to the aquarium, the Pike Place market and a bunch of stores in between. The view of the water is so close to the hotel! And of course, our cruise port was right there too! Upon walking into the lobby, I was immediately blown away. The decor, the eclectic nature, probably one of the most unique Hotel lobbies I've ever experienced. Also one of the "smartest" and modern hotels I've ever stayed at. It took me a bit to understand that everything literally everything is operated by the small tablet provided. The hotel doesn't have some amenities that you tend to align to hotels, no food service. The lobby does have a small bar for drinks and food to grab and go. They have some games available in the lobby. It seems to be a decent social spot, with plenty of guests in the lobby hanging out. The check-in was pretty self-service. While we have never stayed at a citizenm hotel before, it was an overall good time! The AC in our room took a little while to crank up, and we had a hard time projecting to the television. Let's just say a really techy person would probably absolutely adore all of the modern aspects of this Hotel. My first impression when I got to this hotel was it's very quirky. And then I started to really take experience and I'm in love with this hotel. From the decor to the room controls to the minimalistic setting of the room to how you check in, experience is everything. It gives you a very homey vibe and it's very inviting. You don't feel like you're at a typical me too type hotel. I might say the rooms are suitable for two if not, three people but the third person has to be a small kid. It reminds me of the rooms in Europe where space is a premium. The one thing that I would add if there's any way possible to this location is a gym/fitness center. It could be a small as a tiny room with a few equipment, but it's definitely necessary. Otherwise I'm in love and this is one of my favorite hotels. read more

Before choosing to book this hotel I read a few mix reviews about how the rooms are very small..but I'm flying solo so I decided to book it anyways. Came in and was greeted with a smile by the lady behind the counter. She told me it's self check in and I was able to check in early because there are rooms available. Score! (I wish I remember her name) I can see why people think the room is small..it isn't your typical hotel room size . It kind of reminds me of a cruise room..Virgin Voyages cruise to be exact. Love the red! Love how clean the room was too!!! I loveeeeeee the view overlooking the ferry. Seriously that's what sold me on the room..the view!!! Everything in the room is controlled through the iPad. On my first night here I went to the bar and had a great time. Kathleen was my bartender and she was so awesome! She made a great chocolate martini and an espresso martini. I was kinda a mess by the end of the night. I forgot before heading to the hotel bar I was at another bar drinking. Whoops..I was on vacation mode. Kathleen was a great bartender! Thanks for making my stay amazing!!! Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone..yes the rooms are small but you are not in your room a majority of the time when you're traveling. Plus it's so clean!!! The staff is so friendly which is great because I wasn't expecting there to be much staff on hand due to the fact that this is such a modern hotel that you can do everything virtually! M We loved the rooms because if you travel anything like us we are only in the room for sleep and out exploring most of the day so we don't need much room! Our bed was such a great size and honestly the room was perfect! As long as there's a bed, toilet and shower we are good to go! There were many great things about this hotel! I didn't give it 5 stars because there were a few things that didn't make it perfect. The location was good and close to the waterfront and a short walk to shops, restaurants, and attractions. The 2 pm check-in was easy and quick, and I could activate my room key. Although the room was small, it was comfortable and met my needs. There was no coffee/tea station, but downstairs, there's a help yourself water station with glasses, which I liked. The iPad was convenient to control the temperature, blinds, tv, and lights, including the colour of the lights. I also got the app, and could use my phone instead of the iPad. On the app, I could also order the breakfast buffet and save $2.50/day. The bed was against the wall, which was fine for a single traveler. It might not be great for two travelers. I like that I could look outside the window and see the water. There were two minor issues, which was that the shower pressure was weak, and the outlets weren't working well to charge my phone and use the hair dryer. I liked the extra security of having the front doors closed in the evening, and that a room key is needed for the elevator. The wait for the elevators were short and they were spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious. There were scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, tomatoes or mushrooms, bacon, a variety of pastries and baked good, cucumbers, fruit salad with lots of berries, apples, oranges, bananas, and a variety of toppings. There were help yourself coffee and tea stations. There were many tins for the tea bags. After having breakfast, I put my tray on the cart. Many of the staff were friendly and helpful. But there were a few that didn't say a word to me. The decor in the hotel was fun and funky and there were board games and lots of seating in the lobby. I would definitely stay here again! read more

If you're a runner and have a hard time sleeping when you travel, this is the place for you. The room is very quiet and gets pitch dark when you lower both day and night curtains. The Pioneer Square location on Yesler is perfect for runners- cross one street and you can start running along the waterfront. You can go north along the touristy piers (Pike Place market) or run south for a solitary, quieter run along the harbor. I did both and enjoyed equally. read more

As another reviewer mentioned it's not perfect - there were some quirks worth mentioning - but overall not complete deal breakers for me and my stay here was fantastic. If you're a first timer (like me) there is a little bit of a learning curve because it isn't the normal kind of process where you walk in and meet staff at a reception desk. I'll start at the very beginning when our already late night flight was delayed and I wanted to make sure the hotel knew we were still coming that night but would be arriving closer to midnight. I called the number provided in my reservation... my first attempt was around 8pm, there was no answer.. called several times again over 30 minutes, still could not reach a live person. There's a chat option through their website so I gave it a go but that was actually a bot so I gave up and decided to just cross my fingers we would still have a room with a very late check-in. Fast forward... our Uber dropped us off easily on the corner and then we walked up to the entrance. The doors didn't open. I looked around for some kind of sign or doorbell or intercom. After about a minute a security guard appeared and opened the door, asking if we were checking in (I learned later that the doors are locked at night after a certain time). I didn't see a reception desk and had to ask the guard where to check in. Apparently it's a self check-in process - there were some tablet stations at a large table and just as I started the process an employee appeared and he guided me through the rest of the way. He looked to be the only one overseeing check-ins so it explained a ton about the no phone responses from earlier. He was very friendly, though, and helpful when I had questions about the option for pre-paid breakfast and late check-in. We got checked in and made it into our room. By the way, I really like the security and felt very safe. Not only do they have a security guard for the entrance and the front doors locked late at night, the elevators require a room key to go past the 2nd floor. The room, though small, was very nice and clean, and had nearly everything needed - place to hang clothes, a full length mirror, a bathroom and shower, a small sink, a desk, a bed, a drawer for clothes and things, a safe, a phone, and a TV. It is snug. It's perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. We got a King bed room and it worked out OK for me and my child but privacy is limited; the shower/toilet room is encased in frosted glass and there is a light see-through curtain that can be pulled across the room to separate the bedroom space. I would not recommend it for a family of 3+... it is just way too snug. There's a tablet that controls everything in the room - lights, window shades, TV, and temperature. It didn't work so well for controlling the TV but was totally fine for the temperature and lights. You could even change the color of the lights and there's a game to play that changes the light colors in the shower. If you were feeling bored to death you could have your child play the game (it's like Simon with the different colored buttons that light up) on the tablet and take a shower while the actual shower lights make you feel like you're at a disco party. Caution for those sensitive to flashing lights!! The bed was comfortable enough and when I requested a second blanket, the response was very quick. Breakfast time was smooth and surprisingly really good! It was the usual continental type of breakfast you see - scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, some kind of veggies, cereal, bread, bagel, pastries, fruit, salad, fresh orange juice, and coffee. The fact that it included espresso drinks (Chai latte with almond milk and an extra shot, please) was a bonus too so pre-paying turned out be a good value. Check-out was extremely smooth! They offer an extended Check-out to 2pm for a fee if you needed a few more hours to stay. Overall this hotel was really amazing and I would stay here again! read more

If you appreciate LED lighting and or futuristic designs, you have to stay here. citizenM Pioneer Square (Downtown Seattle), is 95% self-serve. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you're emerged into eclectic and futuristic atmosphere. Upon checking-in you can present your drivers license and or US or foreign passport. You scan one of the government documents and then you grab one of the room keys from a stack, next to the scanner and place it on the scanner. Within few moments your room key is activated. (They do have a personal to assist with check-in. 5%) Once you go up to your room, you're greeted with cool, multicolored LED lighting throughout the room. Here's where this room gets exciting and intriguing. If you appreciate LED lighting and or futuristic designs, you have to come stay here. The room is 100% touch screen controlled with your iPad. Yes you read that right, your iPad! When you walk towards your bed, it will have an iPad with your name on it, greeting you, "Howdy..." You want to pull up or down window shades? You got it. Go to the iPad to control your desired option. You want to watch tv? No problem, the iPad has you in mind. Want to have a little fun with multicolored LED lights? No problem. With several options on your iPad, you can switch into different modes. My personal favorite on iPad is "Room Modes." From few available options you can set your entire room mode to "Sleep Mode." This will turn Off lighting while simultaneously turning On soft sleep music. You're in the mood to get some work done? iPad offers, "Work Mood Mode," by dimming the lighting to perfect setting while playing soft elegant work music. The room and bathroom design is somewhat small based on European designs, but I stayed in a King room and it was perfect for me. The king bed and pillows were super comfy. Probably wouldn't recommend for larger families with 3+ guests. They offer buffet breakfast for $20+ and I did enjoy it as everything was hot and freshly made. Staff, although was minimal based on their unique hotel concept, were excellent at assisting guests. I stayed here 2 nights and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I will be returning because I haven't experienced such a unique hotel concept as citizenM. citizenM offers 36 hotels as of 2025. Very hipster, but then you look around: no drawers to put your clothes, a few hangers, no coffee maker, no water glasses, and you have to request room cleaning! I've been here a few hours and their disdain for me is palpable. I went and got 2 water glasses, then I was washing clothes is the sink and couldn't figure out how to open the drain back up. "It's her again...I'm going to give you to my co-worker ". She didn't know, either. Sent someone from housekeeping who said, "just push the button!" While the check in process started rough - the hotel room itself was so cute. It reminded me of pod hotels. You'd have to lock in the rate at a good price to be worth it. $300 a night is pushing it for such a small room, but again the room itself was cute and comes with cool functionality. Room works through iPad usage. Different color lighting, blackout lighting (and since it's small it gets DARK in there. No pool but very nice looking gym, and the area to hangout on the first floor is really cool as well. One front desk person wouldn't allow my guest to check in even though they were listed as my guest. I asked my partner to get their number so I can call and confirm that you can check in , they said I could only call the corporate number. I did call, got transferred to the wrong hotel, called again and they refused to transfer me because my partner was no longer at the front desk (obviously he left because he was tired of the runaround they were giving us) Once I got to the front desk when I got off work - the front desk person had changed but she was simply the sweetest human being. read more

Citizen m hotel I recently stayed at citizenM, and while it had a lot of great aspects, there were a few things that could definitely be improved. I will start with the pros first. PROS: * Big bed & great view: the bed is incredibly comfortable and spacious which made for a restful night sleep. The view from the room was also a highlight it was very enjoyable to to see the city life right out of my window. * Tech savvy: the hotel is very modern and everything is controlled via an iPad in the room, from lighting to temperature to tv options. * Quiet: despite bring in a bustling area, the room was surprisingly quiet. I didn't hear much noise from the outside, which made it easy to relax affect a long day of exploring the city. * Great locations: one of the reason why we stayed at this hotel was the location itself, its close to everything to everything I wanted to explore, and being able to talk to Pike market in the morning was definitely a highlight. * Breakfast Variety: the breakfast spread was solid, with plenty of options to chose from. While the menu said pancakes were included, they weren't available during our stay, which was a bit of a disappointment. There were still good alternatives to choose from, though the matcha latte was unfortunately pretty bad would not recommend getting that. CONS * Water pressure: unfortunately, the water pressure in the shower was pretty disappointing. It took longer than usual to get the showering done, I wish the shower head did its job but for how big it is for the water to be so weak which was frustrating. * Air ventilation: the air quality in the room could've been better. Even with the AC running, the room felt a little stuffy, and the ventilation didn't seem to do much to improve the overall air circulation. * Chromecast issues: we were really looking forward to using the chromecast to watch tv but unfortunately it was down during our stay. This was a bummer, especially since citizenM markets this feature as a key part of the experience. It would've been nice to have that functionality working. * Parking: if you're driving, keep in mind that citizenM does not offer parking on premises!!!! Street parking only, they also stated on their website as well so plan accordingly. We did use the nearby Butler garage to park costs $40 ish overnight, it's definitely something to consider if you plan to use a car, as it adds up quickly!!! Overall CitizenM has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its tech forward approach, location and comfort. The bed was great, and the access to local spots like Pike market, Seattle ferry and Seattle aquarium was a big plus. The late check out options allowing me to sleep in and check out as late as 2pm was also a nice add on. That said, the hotel doesn't quite live up to its promise in every area. The water pressure in the shower was disappointingly weak, the room's ventilation left much to be desired, making the space feel stuffy at times. To add to the frustration, the chromecast features was unavailable during my 3 days stay, preventing me from streaming any content, which was annoying given the hotels emphasis on modern tech amenities. While citizenM is a solid option for those seeking a convenient, modern hotel, the experience I got didn't quite justify the price point. I would be open to staying again, but I certainly hope my next visit will see some of these issues addressed for a more seamless experience. read more

After reading numerous reviews, I must admit I was a bit skeptical. However, we all have our unique preferences. So, here we go! My suggestion is Uber. It's only a 7-minute walk to all the marina eateries, just a short stroll before you reach the Seattle Aquarium. The hotel has a charming, understated elegance. My bed is incredibly comfortable, and from the 8th floor, I can enjoy a lovely ocean view as I lay my head down to rest. The hotel operates without a traditional remote control; instead, all lighting is managed through a tablet, from the lights to the shades, mirror, TV, and alarm. Honestly, I have no complaints--I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It's cute, artsy, and has a modern vibe. The downstairs area is vibrant and full of color. And here's an added bonus: the bar is open 24/7, which is great if you want to order something at any time. Walking to most attractions takes about 15-20 minutes, including the market, while the waterfront is just a quick 6-minute walk away. There's even a separate room for ironing. Imagine a hotel room in Euro style, created and decorated by IKEA. The rooms are small but they make amazing use of the space! The views of Elliott Bay are gorgeous! Everything - TV, blinds, lights - are all controlled by a ln iPad. Even the lights in the shower, which can be set at any color on the rainbow, are via the iPad. Beds are comfy, and the bar staff is great! The only con: I'd skip the breakfast, which is currently $17/person if you're a hotel guest. read more

My stay at citizenM Pioneer Square was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. From the moment we arrived, issues kept piling up with no proper resolution. The toilet was clogged and made loud, abnormal noises. On our very first morning, a random stranger knocked on our door early, waking us up and raising serious safety concerns. Several electrical outlets in the room did not work at all. The shower had almost zero water pressure, making it very difficult to shower. The shelves in the room were dusty and clearly not cleaned properly. The hair dryer did not work, and the air conditioning unit made an extremely loud noise, making it hard to sleep. What made this experience even worse was the lack of accountability. When we requested compensation, we were told it was refused because there were "no notes" on file -- despite the fact that at checkout, I personally spoke with an employee who documented all of these issues. This stay was not comfortable, not relaxing, and absolutely not worth the price. The experience has completely turned me off from returning to this property. read more

We knew the place would be small, but man is it small! Our room also didn't come with an iPad like it was supposed to. We brought it up to the front desk and they said that they were having issues with them but that's what controls everything in your room ( tv, lights, air..) thankfully there's an app you can use. Of our entire stay in Seattle, this is the one thing we would change. On our first night we had a cleaning crew knock on our door at 7:30 am, we said no thank you through the door, they knocked again, we said no thankful, so then they tried to open the door while we were still in bed. Thankfully we had the door lock on or they woulda just come in! The pillows are also terrible, so even tho the bed itself is comfy, we didn't sleep well because the pillows weren't great. We were astonished by the tiny guest rooms: 8 feet wide and 20 feet long with a bed crammed sidewise up against the window. And very pricey too! Looks OK from the outside but it apparently was "modular construction": hundreds of 20 foot "shipping containers" stacked on top of each other. Incredibly cramped. One sleeper had to crawl over another at night to leave the bed. We had no idea the rooms were like this. Much smaller than the cabin we had on a Rhine River cruise. More like a jail cell. At one point me and one bickered a little bit cause she wanted to make a joke when I asked a question, not the time girl. The food options suck. And the parking is terrible too. I love the mood functions which can set the curtain, appropriate lighting, colors of the light, white noises and music. The staffs are friendly and helpful. I took 1 point away because we have to park in a paid parking garage 5' walking from the hotel. The parking has no security. All of our car's window got smashed, and they got our souvenirs that we collected all the way from redwood to Seattle, our hiking shoes, and weirdlyour half eaten snacks. We know it's also our faults to leave the stuffs in the car, but we had so many luggages for our long trip and the parking is away from the hotel. Absolutely loved this place! Would stay here again and again. We moved from our Kimpton Hotel in downtown Seattle closer to this hotel near the water. Call it a boutique hotel, hostel, love hotel, whatever. It was perfect for me. Price is right too! They originated in the Netherlands (I think), then spread around to different parts of the world. Size wise, its small and cozy---perfect for 1-2 people. Reminded me of a Parisian dorm/Japanese hotels I've stayed at in the past. Not really meant for a large family. Checking in is as easy as getting a paper boarding pass at the airport. You scan stuff~load your room key and you're done. I also got to pick whether I wanted a high level floor or low level and the type of view I wanted (ocean view was an extra fee during booking). The hotel doors lock at 10 pm because the area a couple blocks over can get sketch at night. Takes me about 10 minutes to walk to Pike place, library, etc. Lobby area has a "library" section with color coded books, games, quirky and colorful furniture. Basically very millennial/gen Z vibes if you want to call it that. Free water at the bar/dining room area with snacks to buy. The room itself was very techy and simplistic. Gadgets felt "personalized" and were easily controlled by the ipad--curtains/blinds/mood lighting (which I went crazy with)/TV etc. Room cleaning is available if you stay 2 or more nights and mandatory after 3 nights. The only suggestion I have is that they keep some cash onsite to allow for people to exchange larger bills (to tip the housekeepers). Oh, yea and parking isn't very plentiful (couple of street spots that require payment). read more

My spouse and I stayed here for a couple nights a couple months ago after our cruise to finish off our honeymoon. We were too early to check-in but the staff offered to watch our luggage for us until our room was ready, no issues there. After exploring the city for a few hours we came back and were able to check into our room. These rooms are so cute and cozy! Yes they're small but really, do you always need half the stuff a regular hotel room has anyway? If you can, get a room that faces the water; it was really cool to watch the ferries coming in and out of our nice big window. The bed in very big and comfortable, and we had fun changing the color of the bathroom lights. We didn't try out the bar on the ground floor, but there are books everywhere that guests are free to use during their stay. From the hotel we were in range to walk all over Downtown and Belltown. Another thing, their customer service is great! We didn't spend much time in the building itself, but staff was friendly and very helpful, recommending us nearby locations to see or eat at. Most importantly, I left behind my jacket, and customer service helped me get it back with no fuss whatsoever. They even included another shirt of mine that I had not yet noticed was missing. Other hotels I've accidentally left items behind at either never respond or Really make me pay for my mistake! If you're looking for a sweet treat of a hotel that's both cool and comfortable, I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

I love this place!!!! The room is relatively small but it is just perfect. Space is planned out very intentionally and there are nice touches with decor and tech. There is a bar and grill type situation in the lobby once you look past the impressive artwork and decor. Once in your room there is mood lighting by the bathroom and you can control the color through the use of an iPad. Everything looks super clean and that is important for a neat freak like myself. The location is really important to me and it can't be more central to the things that I want to visit in the city (Pioneer Square, stadiums, etc). Car Stolen in Broad Daylight - Stylish Hotel with Serious Safety Issues I booked this hotel last minute for a concert at the Paramount Theatre. While the location was convenient and the vibe was sleek, my car was stolen from directly in front of the hotel between 11am and 4pm--in broad daylight. The hotel has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the street (where my car was), but apparently there are no cameras on that side of the building. I was told that "someone is always out front to assist guests." Clearly not the case. First impressions: The lobby is beautiful and very high-tech. Check-in felt like using a Target self-checkout--efficient but impersonal. Room: Small but stylish and clean. Controlled by an iPad, giving it a fun, futuristic feel. Amenities I liked: * The breakfast buffet was an elevated continental experience. The barista made a fantastic chai and was super friendly. * The bar is connected to the coffee station--perfect for mimosas in the morning Major downside: There is no hotel parking--just street parking, which is how I ended up carless. In a city like Seattle, that's a major gamble. Bottom line: This hotel looks nice and has good service touches--but no parking + no cameras = not worth the risk. I won't be back. read more

Checking in and out is so convenient and the hotel is very clean. I like the technology they use in the room. The price here for a night is reasonable and you get a lot for what you pay for. The bed was super comfortable, good ac, color changing room, a mini fridge, and a security safe lock. You can check in using the kiosk in the front where you'll activate your room key card and you can return it at the kiosk when you leave. I got lucky because I got the 11th (highest) floor and got a nice view of the pier. The bartenders were chill too and I felt safe with security in the front, considering how it can get a little sketchy at night considering it's downtown Seattle. The lounge was also a vibe, I got to chat with some ABGs and play uno. There were plenty of comfortable furniture to chill at and you can also utilize their iMac. The private contractors drop off a lot of the lime scooters at the front of the hotel and using it will take you 5-6 minutes to get to Pike Place Market. It's also next to the pier which was a beautiful walk. I'll come back to citizenM when I decide to come back again! read more

Very eclectic hotel on the waterfront in downtown Seattle. Rooms reminded us of cruise ships rooms. King size window berth bed overlooking the bay and the ferry dock. Bed was super comfy. The IPads used to control the room functions was fun. Screen on window and blackout shades for sleeping. Had two seating areas and some space for one suitcase. Stowed our backpacks in the drawers under the bed. Bathroom/toilet combo could use an exhaust fan or white noise. Vanity with sink in the room was handy. We had a very close walk to the ferry and all the waterfront activities and restaurants. read more

I have in fact discovered my new favorite hotel brand! We were in town for a few things but also celebrating our anniversary and they made it special for sure! The door was decorated, champagne, chocolate croissants, balloons, and rose petals scattered about. It was so cute. The views from the room were amazing at any given moment. The ambiance and atmosphere was modern but not monotone (which I loved). At this particular location you're walking distance to Pike Place, the aquarium, the light rail which will take you straight to Seattle center, and the stadium! The staff were all so nice, helped and check in and check out, very attentive. The price was also way better than other locations in the area! And they don't hold anything for incidentals (they do charge after if anything is damaged) so it's easy to budget. Overall 5/5 We'll be back, and you should try it out! read more

My wife and I started here for the long Labor Day weekend. Location was good and service was ok. But the room was the worse. Starting with the shower. We had no water pressure felt like we were showering in a third world country. And the the AC in the middle of the night started making a crazy noise. The next day we told the front desk and they said they would send someone to check it. No one come. The trip was to short to keep going back and forth with the hotel. Loved our stay! Second time in a matter of a year that we have stayed at this hotel! We love the location first of all it is so convenient walking distance to pretty much all there is to see In Seattle. The first time around last year we rented a car this year after our first experience we realized we didn't need a rental this time around because the location is just super convenient. We loved the room, especially our ability to control our nightlight, blinds, room temps and tv on the same remote. Very easy to cast by the way if you have other forms of entertainment. The bar area, super inviting, we had Hani and Will as our bartenders on two of the 4 nights we were there. And we loved them both. Friendly, knowledgeable and just made our stay feel more warm and amicable. We definitely will recommend this hotel to any and everyone of our friends to ever visit Seattle. Super clean, beautiful hotel and the rooms are lovely. The food options are great and so are the drinks. The rates definitely affordable as well. We stayed from Tuesday-Friday. We appreciated that they held our suitcases before check in and after our early checkout before our later flight. This was our first stay at a Citizen M property. Be warned that the rooms are TINY. I mean, like postage -stamp-size tiny. Barely enough room to hold our 4 pieces of luggage. That being said, the location was unbeatable, the king-sized bed was the best hotel bed I've ever slept on, the shower was a 10/10, the view of the bay was stunning, and it was absolutely quiet. We had a superior sleep. Breakfast ($18 each) was well worth the price: eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, fresh fruit, bagels, cream cheese, lox, coffee, tea, juices. But the jewel in the crown were the fresh, gourmet bakery items (croissants, chocolate croissants, etc,) delivery daily from a local bakery. Staff was super friendly and gave great recommendations for nearby dinners. We will be definitely back!! read more

These are the worst bloody Marys we've ever had. They were served in the lobby bar on Saturday morning - $30 for two. Made with cheap mix and served just as you see them with no garnish whatsoever, not even a straw. On top of it, the bartender was as apathetic as the drink would suggest. Their breakfast/bar game leaves a lot to be desired for a hotel right on the Seattle waterfront in 2024. Citizen M is located directly across from the ferry dock and near the stadiums, so they actually have a great opportunity to have a super successful bar program if they put in the effort. read more

The location is excellent. As noted by many it is a small basic rectangular room with the basic needs. No coffee or tea maker. Catering for customers that are not spending much time in the room. Not suitable if you are planning to spending lots of time in the room. More for shower and sleep type of facility. For the price point and for 'shower and sleep', probably a good deal. No parking. Lemme just say this hotel is not for everyone. But it was definitely for me. If you're looking for a minimalistic approach to a hotel this is perfect! This hotel gives mid-century modern vibes but also very hipster! First it is very close to the transit station from the airport and other various bus station, tram, and ferry dock. When you walk in immediately greeted by a worker and they assist you with getting checked in. Simple easy process but also could do it on your phone too. Get in the room and it is a bit small but not too small. The whole room is controlled by an iPad, or your CitizenM app. You can control the TV, lights, curtains, etc all with the app/ipad. Mini fridge was perfect, bed was a KING XL bed. Great view of the city. Hotel has a bar downstairs as well as a snack shop/breakfast buffet. The bar also had a free water bottle/cup refill station where you could refill with regular water or sparkling water. The bartender we had was amazing. Guy knew how to carry a conversation, tended to us but didn't hover over us. Also with all the homeless in Seattle they had security measures, after 10pm the front door locks and you need a key to enter the building, you need a key to make the elevator go up.
