As spot #1 of our pizza crawl tour in the area, we decided to try this place. Pizza in a cafe??? I'm all for it. And we didn't just get pizza, we got some coffee and matchas! I ordered the blueberry matcha (iced). Although, it didn't have a strong blueberry taste, the matcha was good. As for the pizza, we had to wait about 15 minutes for it but it was fresh out of the oven. It is suuuuper thin crust and a bit on the softer side... I honestly think they could have made the dough a bit crispier but also really enjoyed it. We had a whole pie and split between 4, so each person had 2 slices. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. They even have a backside patio. Overall, I really like the uniqueness of having pizza in a cafe, I mean how often do you run into cafes that also serve whole pies?? Good job Cafe Zoe and Neighborhood Pizza Guy! read more

You know this pizza sucks when you realize the box is way too light when you walk out of here but you still hold out hope thinking it will still be good from reading the reviews here... Overrated, dry, disappointingly thin pizza. This pizza is so thin and insubstantial that it doesn't seem to retain heat. The colder this pizza gets, the harder it gets, and when you try to re-heat it, you lose what little moisture it has. If it weren't for the pepperoni grease, this pizza would have almost no moisture in it because it has very little sauce, very little cheese and a floppy, barely-there dough that gets drier as you get to the crust. The sauce is good but not consistent, the cheese is ok but barely there, and the toppings are the only good part of this slice, but the overall slice is so mediocre, dry, and hard as a finished product that you can't help but be disappointed. The pizza here feels like a ripoff. Some people might like how thin this pizza is, but I just couldn't enjoy it and other people eating it with me couldn't even finish all their slices. I don't know why this place has such good reviews. I've never had such a disappointing pizza in my entire life. The reviews here make you think this place is a hidden gem, but it's the most mediocre local pizza you will ever have. I should have known from the fact that this place was almost empty on a weeknight. The place was nice, clean and the service was fine, with good online ordering using Toast, but I will never, ever come here again considering the pizza was so dry, cold, thin and only above average in flavor. My husband calls this spot a hidden gem. I was looking for pizza spots...something to go along with an exciting Lakers vs Warriors game. Came upon this spot and wow!!! This may end up becoming our regular spot now. The dough is delicious and I'm usually not one to eat the crust..but I added the garlic parmesan spread to it and that definitely leveled up the pizza. The pizza was custom with pepperoni, red onion, spinach and mushroom. The pizza doesn't get any better! We ordered a salami/sausage/mushroom pizza that was just perfect. The sauce was rich and had that slightly sweet flavor you get from ripe tomatoes. The salami and sausage were high quality and perfectly seasoned. And, fresh mushrooms completed the trio of toppings. As for the golden brown crust, it was chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside - delicious! The staff was really nice which made for a truly enjoyable experience. Was looking forward to trying this spot, however our first experience wasn't the greatest. Maybe it was an off day? I love to support small businesses and I really don't want to write a negative review but shitty service can ruin any good establishment. Kid at the counter was less than friendly and seemed like he didn't even want to be there, although the gentleman that brought out our pizza was pleasant. The pizza itself was pretty good - I'm a fan of the crust. They were only offering cheese and pepperoni slices at the time, I'd like to come back and try other options. I don't want our first experience to deter us from coming back but I do hope to see some improvement at the register if we do decide to revisit. read more

Heard about this guy on the annual block party fliers. Then walked by cafe Zoe on the weekends and smelled some great pizza. Decided to check out the website and ordered a pep mush pizza to go. Order was on time exactly. Size was a large that fed three small kids and two adults. Quality of the pizza was great. Definitely better than mountain mikes or round table. Not as good as terun or italico. Close to a Delfina. Given the fair price it's definitely worth getting. This will now be our preferred go to weekend pizza place. I hope more people check it out, would love to see this place have its own storefront. read more

When we walked in there was no line. We asked for the pizza menu and Matt (Neighborhood Pizza Guy) guided our pizza journey. He had a fresh cheese or pepperoni pizza. Wow! This sweet little pizza shop is making amazing pizzas! Owner Matt Burr greeted us himself. He's super friendly; we felt right at home. We had a cheese pizza with 4 toppings of our choice.
