If you're in the mood for some tasty Mexican food. I recommend popping into La Reyna market. I give the food a 5 out of 5/5, the amiance is a 3/5. I consider it a hole in the wall local neighborhood spot. If you know you know! The food is made to order and is always on point. I ordered a chicken Burrito with everything. The tortilla was nice and fresh, all of the ingredients married perfectly for a great bite. My wife had the Quesabirria Tacos. They were perfectly sauced and flavorful. The meat was nice and tender and the cheese was a perfect pair. Once dipped in the consommé...lights out delicious. Side note.. add some of that consommé to the Burrito... next level. The price point is spot on. You most definitely get your money's worth. The overall store has your usual grocery items with a Mecicsn twist. Don't go in expecting a glamorous restaurant setting. It's a grocery store with a kitchen in the back, and a taco stand outside. They also have a full meat counter. I usually order to go, but they have plenty outside seating. read more

Ordering a carnitas burrito via doordash at La Reyna, well, pretty good. But I didn't want to write a review before checking out the place. At first glance, it looks good. A nice amount of refrigerated produce on the right, followed by the butcher, and then the food station with ordering board. The meats, priced well, but didn't feature any of the cuts that I like. This place is our go to for burritos! They are a generous size and will split it in half if you ask which makes it easy to share. Our favorite for breakfast is the Chorizo and for lunch/dinner the carnitas is amazing! I recommend calling them directly to order for pick up instead of using their online ordering system. If you're visiting Paso to do wine tasting and want a delicious meal besides what the wineries offer, def come here for their tacos! It's a small little market, you order inside and they give you a ticket. Then you take your ticket outside to the little stand where you'll see the Al pastor spinning and wait for your order to be made. Full salsa bar (MY FAVORITE) with all your fixings. There's plenty of seats as well for you to enjoy your food. There's also food made to order inside the market near the back if you're looking for other options. This unassuming market has amazing food in the back! They cook it fresh to order. I've tried their chorizo breakfast burrito, carnitas, cow head (cabeza) burrito, and al pastor torta. Everything was absolutely amazing. You know, sometimes some places specializes in one thing so you'd have to go to different restaurants for tortas vs burritos vs carnitas. La Reyna Market, however, excels in all of their food items, so it is a one stop shop! I guess this is why they are called The Queen! We intended to come here for some authentic salsa to make quesadillas at home, it came to a great surprise. They had an Al Pastore booth add a little restaurant in the back you picked up some salsa and guacamole, and couldn't resist getting Carnitas but don't forget to get the tacos, everything was so delicious and authentic as if I was in Mexico. I've ordered from here before and know this is not standard l- when I called them I let them know that 20 dollars for 4 tacos should have a little substance. I am at work and can't return the tacos, I don't get off until after they close and their only option was to come in and get a replacement. Disappointing to say the least. Still gave them a shot even after I was told by locals they've been shut down recently for rat infestation- I should have just listened. Save your money and go to Suprema, way cleaner, superior service. Yesterday I got a pair of tacos for $2 Taco Tuesday. Carne Asada and Pollo, one with red sauce the other with green. They are so hearty I ate them, outside with a fork in the socially distanced tables. The two tacos with an horchata were the perfect lunch. The sweet cinnamon of the horchata cooled the salsa burn. Great grocery Market they have meat, produce, beer, and all around Mexican snacks. What I like the most is the hot fresh to order food. The menu is so overwhelming they have so many options. Everything I have tried here is absolutely incredibly good. Everything they make looks delicious and fresh to order. I personally love their carne asada burritos. Great size and lots of meat. I love buying their Guacamole and green salsa. Love the convenience of going in and they have everything prepackaged and ready to go. The ambiance is great. Living out of a hotel while working out of town and had had enough bad fast food chains. This place was 800' from my hotel so why not. Smaller market filled with everything you could need for some great Mexican cuisine, fresh vegetables, fresh seafood, Harris Ranch beef, spices and so much more. The on wall menu at the small kitchen next to the meat counter only had full meals for families. I checked here and the menu was pretty generic so I ordered a Chili Verde burrito, and added my standard shrimp taco as I would from any Mexican restaurant. I initially thought the price was a little high. I watched as the cook went straight to the meat counter and pulled out 3 X-large never frozen shrimp. Then I was given a massive 3 pound burrito and my taco. I now realized the price was for the quality and size of the food I ordered. The traditional style shrimp taco... I'm speechless, do not pass up an opportunity to try them! The Chili Verde was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. It could have had a little more meat and less rice but was worth every penny. The only complaint I have is I was not warned about the portions, I will now spend the rest of the evening in misery due to being unable to save anything for later. read more
