Fantastic little restaurant in Barcelona. Good menu with variety of options. I have linguine carbonara as an appetizer and calamari in teriyaki sauce for the entree. Both great. Very intimate setting and very good service.

During my Barcelona trip, I went there twice. I went for lunch and it was three course meal for $13 euro. Not just for the price but the everything is so delicious. A couple days later, I went there again with three other people for dinner. Every one was fully satisfied with every meal. From starter to sweet. I would definately visit again.

Good value and the food was good. Overall rating of 4 star. Service was excellent. We ordered the Chef's set menu rather than the La Rita set menu due to better selection. For 4€ more, you can't go wrong. The free tapas includes patatas bravas and fried aubergine. The fried aubergine was a bit salty. For starter, we ordered soup and risotto and they were good. As for entree, we ordered the salted cod and duck confit and they were also good. Dessert was very good. It also included complimentary cookies which were made for Nov 1 All Saints celebration. Drinks are included and ends with coffee and tea. Highly recommended. Rating: 1 - Poor, 2 - OK, 3 - Good, 4 - Very Good, 5 - Excellent

We were staying at a hotel just a few blocks away and wanted something a little more substantial then tapas. We had walked by earlier in the day and noticed the appealing decor and stopped to check out the menu. After not being able to get reservations for the original restaurant we decided to give LaRita a try. I was very impressed. We were greeted and seated without any delay. The waitress was very friendly and had no issues understanding me, since I don't speak Spanish. I only drink ice tea which is not always easy to find when traveling through out Europe. She brought me a hot tea with a separate glass and ice. Awesome! I started with the hummus and pita bread which I might add was the best hummus that I have ever had. The only suggestion that I would offer is a few more pieces of the bread. It was paired with olives and cheese. Just delicious. My second selection was a field green salad with vegetables. The salad was very typical to what you would expect to get in the states. Although it included roasted corn with the vegetables and it too was delicious. For my entree I selected the aged beef with roasted rosemary potatoes and grilled peppers. The potatoes were very tasty and the beef had a small amount of crusted sea salt that again just pushed this dish over the top. I highly recommend you add LaRita to your list of dinning options when in Barcelona.

If you're no longer in the mood of having tapas this is the place to go. Deliciously generous portions of well prepared food awaits you in a very soothing environment. And oh, I forgot to say the prices are very reasonable!

Well what to say about Rita? For sure I'll be coming here very often. "La Rita" is a friendly restaurant with very good nice Menu. For 10,30€ you can 2 courses + dessert, what a bargain for this price. Th menu changed everyday during weekdays and the options are quite good. It opens at 13:00 and be sure to be the first one arriving. At around 14:00 sometimes you have to wait 30 min for a table. The portions are not substantial but the 3 dishes menu will give enough energy for the rest of the day. Highly recommend during week days.

Great food here with decent pricing as well. My favorite dish was the spicy baby octopus. The fried potatoes w/ chorizo / cod fritters were tasty as well. And don't forget the sangria! Only thing I didn't enjoy was the duck breast, which was lacking in flavor and was a bit dry.

Tapas plate from the 15 euro dinner special. Pommes frites, hummus (really?), green salad.

Though others (including my gf) liked the fishermans stew, I had the set dinner and was pleasantly impressed. Way too much food for me, but it was a great mix because I ended up giving my dessert to the GF. The food had a great flavor to it, the ambiance was nice, and the sangria was very nice. Would come back, and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet bistro.

Yummy. Everything we ate was fantastic. Upscale atmosphere. I think we will be coming back soon. Give this place a try.

I stopped by La Rita today for an impromptu lunch with a friend when we noticed the sizable line out front. The pretty, green facade has caught my eye several times and we grabbed a table for the prix-fixe lunch and enjoyed our time. It was €10.30 for three courses, some bread and a drink and you certainly get your money's worth. The food was a little heavy and the service a little erratic but all in all it's a pretty good spot. A convenient, solid choice after some shopping on Passeig de Gracia or a stroll into Gaudi's houses.

Rigatoni carbonara and white bean first courses for lunch with the vino included!

My Greek salad was very authentic and was as good as any salad I had while I lived in Greece. Very fresh vegetables, great Feta and seasoned to perfection. The shrimp scampi under the Tapas menu with garlic was equally good and oh so tasty. The smallish inside restaurant is best described as rustic and a tad warm. Instead I opted for the outside dining area, which has just a few tables but offered a very pleasant ambiance in the small side street this business is located on with low foot traffic and a very nice breeze on the warm day I dined here. The relaxed dining on the outside is definitely the way to go here especially during the summer months. From a negative standpoint, certain aspects of the service were too slow. I was seated pretty quickly upon arrival but I waited a tad bit too long to get my order in. Once ordered though, the food came pretty quickly on a positive note. However, for all intents and purposes the service stopped at that point where I had no follow up and literally had to walk inside the business to get my bill. Overall, the dining experience was still great for me slow service aside as the quality of the food and outdoor ambiance far outweighed the negatives. I would say if you are in a bit of there rush you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a relaxing dining experience with great food than this business will be definitely fit the bill!

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish.
