I ordered La Rossa the other day on a whim. It was a pretty good whim. It was the evening and I had been working all day, it felt like I earned a pizza. I never get delivery but I decided to take the lazy way for once and ordered from a pizza delivery app. I've been by La Rossa a bunch of times, and a couple people had said it was good pizza so I went with that. it was a weekday evening, which might of helped with delivery time, as I got my pizza in about 40 minutes, pretty good considering the drive time. The pizza looked, and tasted, great. It was a New York style, thin, a bit crispy but could still warp a slice in a tight U shape. It was a meat lovers and all the bits and parts tasted great. I had 2 big slices. I had enough room left to try their empanadas. I only got them because I saw them on the menu, and thought, that's odd for a pizza joint. they were pretty good too. The mini cannoli's were just fine. For me either its the very rare really good cannoli, or its just fine. Definity loved their pie, and the add ons were pretty good too. read more

Got takeout so can't speak to the in restaurant service. We got the margarita and the pepperoni pizzas. The margarita was divine, it was thin crust and full of juicy tomatoes and very flavorful! It was my favorite over the pepperoni which was also good but a touch too salty for my liking. This seems like a family run place with very good wood burning oven. Would like to communicate that is not what happened. I ordered a different pizza than I regularly do - I asked for a gluten free crust and vegan cheese - your staff either put the order in wrong or your chef doesn't understand the difference between the two but what is a fact is that your staff refused to refund me, they harassed me and took over an hour of my night. When I spoke to you on the phone you had a chance to make it right but you are down right unprofessional and made it clear. I had people in the car with me. I was a regular, your young cashier recognized me but you do not take care of your customers instead choose to ruin their night and ensure they do not return. I hope you have the year you deserve. I know Karma will get you so I don't have to worry because you are genuinely an awful restaurant owner and you lack any sort of compassion or understanding of how to deliver any customer service let alone mediocre. Truly the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a restaurant owner. You should be disgusted with yourself. Also - I have never sworn at your staff, your customers started berating me and swearing at me. Your staff laughed and mocked me after refusing to refund or remake my food. We returned the pizzas whole - see photos below to prove that. If you have to lie to make yourself look better than you should be ashamed of the person you are. Excellent pizzeria with a solid menu. The co-owner Camilo was very welcoming and clearly took pride in his pizza. They have a beautiful oven and use quality dough. We came for the Fugazzeta - an Argentine variation that has two layers of pizza crust, filled in the middle with Mozzarella cheese, then smothered on top with onions. It was just as good as the ones I had in Buenos Aires! There is seating both inside and outside. Next time I visit I will try other pies and their empanadas. Very clean, pleasantly decorated family run place. Friendly and accommodating, with pretty decent pizza. We walked in for lunch before my wife's hair appointment and the young man at the counter told us he would make a fresh pizza for us if we wanted a slice. We ordered two slices of pepperoni, and a beef and the buffalo chicken empanadas. He said the run a lunch special of two slices and a soda and would give us that price even though we were splitting the slices. We didn't inquire, he offered...not everyone would take the care to point it out to you. A lot of places leave it up to you to be aware of special pricing. The pies were very thin crusted and a bit floppy, so if you're looking for the slice to be more rigid perhaps ask for them to make it well done. I liked the beef empanada better than the buffalo chicken, but the latter was fine...shredded chicken with kind of almost vinegary piquant flavor, while I was expecting a buffalo sauce situation. I would return to try some of their other menu items, and it is definitely worth your visit to patronize a nice family run operation. read more

We ordered for pickup on a weekday three pizzas and a couple empanadas(we will get back to this one) and it was ready very quickly, I think only 20 minutes. Upon walking in we were greeted immediately and it seemed pretty slow inside. The man behind the counter was very nice and gave us a discount just because! As he was ringing us up, I saw someone making empanadas fresh and cooking them in the pizza oven; this gave me a lot of hope. We tried the beef and buffalo chicken empanada, and my goodness they were amazing. Some of the best empanadas I have had ever. Perfectly crisp and flaky and super delicious. I would honestly come back just to order these again, they were amazing. We also ordered three pizzas. A pepperoni, cheese, and prosciutto and arugula. The pizzas were very delicious, albeit a little underdone in my opinion(the slice was a tiny bit floppy). I will ask next time for well done, but I am certain there will be a next time. Something that really stood out to me was the flavors and the dough. The dough/crust on its own was really good and definitely stood out. I passed by this place new to Boca almost a year ago. The name is very similar to some thing that I'm familiar with in Cincinnati called Larosa. I figured it was a sign and I'm glad I stopped. The first time I came and visit with my daughter, and we both had two slices which were made to order. The crust is fresh And light. The sauce is to die for. Today I stopped in for a quick slice while running errands. I tried to grandma pizza which was perfect. The flavor was consistent with my visit months ago. The crust was delicious and buttery. I could eat a second slice, but knew I shouldn't. It was a quiet day to sit outside on the patio and enjoy my slice. I recommend coming here to check everything especially the empanadas. After speaking to the owner/manager who let me know that they are not associated with Yelp and if you do see a discount for "checking in" that was not something that they authorized. I was a little disappointed in the pizza because I was expecting a nice bubbly crust similar to those crusts found on New York pizzas. I found the pizza to be a little on the bland side until I added oregano to the pizza. . Once the oregano was added, it gave the pizza that pizzazz the pizza should have. I mentioned this to the gentleman behind the counter, and he stated that they only put it on if somebody asks for it, my recommendation is if they want to stand out with a quality pizza in the Boca Raton area, don't hold back and put on all the ingredients to make the pizza a pizza. So, the struggle is always real in trying to find decent pizza here in palm beach county. When you find a good one, you need to shout it from the rooftop. It always starts with a simple, humble, cheese pizza. If they do that well, the rest will undoubtedly follow. So happy to say that I stopped in for a slice a few weeks ago. It was really good. Thin crust, savory sauce, great cheese. Perfectly cooked. Ok, next step, order a whole pizza and have it delivered. So happy to report it's even better. Decided to try the pizza due to all the good reviews and was happy they had online ordering and could request the pick up time. Online it said the pizza would be ready for pick up between 6:30-6:50 pm. I arrived at 6:29 and the person behind the counter pulled the pizza out of one of those red delivery pizza bags. The bottom of the box was barely warm and by the time I got home the pizza was cold. The pizza had to be sitting there for at least 15 min before I got there. It's just very disappointing that during a slow time the pizza chef still can't get the timing right. Even though the pizza seemed good, not sure if I'll return for another cold pizza. read more
