Okay so we went back as I said we would and here's my updated review. The food is still decent but I no longer rate it 5 stars. The taste is a little different now and not as fresh. The tortillas have definitely changed. They don't taste as good but are okay. My biggest problem is, they are very small! Like two bites small, so bite size. I get inflation and all but geez. They did give us radish this time but just a few pieces. We asked for extra. Service is still the same, ambiance still the same, food? Not so much. First of all the guy at the front door.. chill guy. Place was small. We got asada, al pastor, tripas (doradas), buche and chicharron. Asada was over cooked, al pastor and chicharron were okay, tripas were not "doradas," and the tortillas were really oily. Not the best tacos we've had BUT the salsas is what saved our tacos. Salsas were so good and spicy! Got the Jamaica and horchata and they were both delicious. Can't say we would want to go again but if someone wants to go and try I can't say I'd be too disappointed because those salsa and drinks are bomb! Good taco spot if you want to be put down by management I had $45 exactly on my card the total was $38 and they took all the $45 and then they wanted me to pay again the manager told me that us Latinos go out to eat with no money. The cashier and the managers above started to tell me that they had not charge when my bank statement said otherwise they did say racial slurs as well and them being Hispanic they then made us wait over 45 minutes for our food and they made it completely wrong the manager denied fixing our food. The locals must know exactly what to get, because I was disappointed with my taco order. Asada was the worst of the bunch, tough with a gamey taste and odor. Carnitas wasn't much better. It was piled high and not overly shredded or pan fried, so I was expecting better, but it was on the dry, tough side and had little flavor. Barbacoa was the only meat with good flavor, but just a little too wet. Ask for grilled onions and they will give you tons of them. Best tacos I've been able to find in this area. I brag about the tacos from this place every chance I get. I will drive the 20 min down here to get tacos and pass 15 other places just for their tacos. The beef cheek tacos are my favorite. The salsas are so good and I'll mix them even though they are so spicy. Try adding a little of the pickled habaneros and onions to your tacos for even more heat. I recommend calling your order and taking to go. The place gets busy but there is never a long wait. Please consider opening a location in the Frisco/Colony area so I can have taco deliciousness every day. read more
