Hunny got the "Torta Americana" (mini). Its was really good and all of it comes together. The ingredients felt fresh. Im not used to eating stringy cheese with it but it was still good tasting and im sure you can ask for it without it. Bug got the "Torta Norteña" (original). All the ingredients that go into it are fresh and hot its not too greasy like most places that over cook the milanesa. The chorizo as well isnt burnt or under cooked its well made . The cheese is delicious i like how stretchy it was, shows just how fresh it all is . Including the bread for it was soft not hard nor too flaky. The horchata wasnt at all bitter or too sweet its a nice even balance for the drink. Overall the wait wasnt very long, and a very big plus is they have like a mini bar area on the left were they have cilantro, cebolla, salsa verde, and limones. So you can add on to your food or get more of something if youd like. Their selection of drinks is good to, they got good selections of beer .

Alambres

It doesn't look big or great from the outside but is much bigger inside. The owner very very attentive. Great service, we had alambres we ask for 2 meat but only found one it was still good. Me and my husband ate and still left some. We ask for 2 kind of tortillas and only got one kind but didn't want to complain. We got suadero torta and took it home , the torta is huge but the suadero was a little plain, it only had suadero and not fixings inside. We also order a cubana to go and it was delicious, my kids loved it. It was huge and absolutely packed with stuff. Worth the $17 dls we paid for it. We also tried the churros rellenos de cajeta and yum yum yum!!!!!! If we lived close we would visit often!

Excellent al Pastor tacos with deep authentic flavors! Cozy spot with counter order and a comfortable vibe.

Tons of choices and they are huge! Loved that the toast the bread on both sides. Torta didn't get soggy or fell apart like other places. Definitely going back to try different ones.

This is a grill inside what looks like a service station in a not-at-all trendy area of Dallas. That said, if the neighborhood scares you then maybe you should just stick to uptown or the suburbs (same thing, amirite?) This isn't what I would call a "bad" neighborhood or even a sketchy one. You'd have to go further north (to Royal) or south (to NW Highway) to truly find a place that's questionable to enter. This is just working class. But they take a credit card that you swipe in an iPad. I discovered this place after an article in some publication said they have the best Torta Cubana in Dallas. I don't know if that's true, but I will say they have the best torta of any variety that I have had at any location in Dallas. They also have tacos, breakfast, and sincronizadas. But we're here to discuss the tortas. First: they're f-ing huge. I didn't finish. You probably won't either. Second: they're made to order. Third: there are 4 fresh bread options (white, wheat, sesame, jalapeno) Fourth: there are at least 30 varieties This is an order-at-the-register place. You can get it to-go or you can have a seat. They also sell soda and horchata. And you will be stuffed for $10-$15.

Capitalina on sesame (ajonjoli) with cacahuate and Mandarin Jarritos

Checked it out while we were in the area. Located in a new shopping center. Low key place but the best tortas we've had in Dallas! The bread was toasted and crispy, the meat was flavorful, and salsa had good heat. We order the Capitalina on sesame and the Típica on original. The milanesa on the Típica was flavorful but a little tough. Definitely would recommend and come back to try other items. A lot of torta choices and customizations you don't get at other places. 4 types of bread: original, sesame, jalapeño cheddar, wheat 4 types of salsa: verde, roja, cacahuate, chipotle

the texana somewhere on here is mayo, avocado, tomato, onion, Oaxaca Cheese, jalapeños or chipotle peppers.Milanesa, pork leg, and sausage

Maybe I did not smile enough when I ordered. The pic really explains it. Friends told me oh man you have to try this place it is the best in dfw Place is in a gas station/convenience store that no longer serves neither I feel a little violated after the price I paid and what I actually received. The menu said mayo, avocado, tomato, onion, Oaxaca Cheese, jalapeños or chipotle peppers,Milanesa, pork leg, and sausage. Hot dogs are not sausage, I found a piece of tomato and the smallest, thinnest, piece of avocado and as you can see some peepers. I never found mayo, cheese, onion and you can see the rest . Except for the guy that was taking the orders the service was nice and friendly, he seemed like he had better things to do than take my order I would rather have a Vienna sausage spam sandwich

Torta Texana. Milanesa, Salchicha, y pierna. Muy buena ! Solo pude terminar mitad de la torta

This spot is super clean. Very nice and cozy inside. I highly recommend this place. Make sure you come here with lots of hunger because the tortas are huge. The staff was super friendly and the service was really fast as well. I had a Texana Torta. I was not able to finish it. But believe me, i have dinner for Tonite.

The food, cocktails, atmosphere, and service came together to create an unforgettable evening. A special shout-out to Ashley, whose hospitality and mastery behind the bar elevated our celebration even more. Her knowledge of her craft, warm personality, and thoughtful recommendations made us feel truly welcomed and valued. It's rare for me to give an establishment a perfect score, but this one has earned it without hesitation. 10/10--an exceptional dining experience and the perfect place to celebrate life's special moments. It was my first visit, and it was absolutely worth the wait. I've seen all the Instagram posts, and I finally got my chance to experience it for myself. Since it was Taco Tuesday, I had to order the tacos and the ceviche. I snagged a cozy corner seat so I could take in the entire atmosphere, and everything was spot on. The food was delicious, the ambiance was beautiful, and the bartender was even kind enough to take my picture. From the service to the vibe, this place exceeded my expectations. It will definitely be one of the first places I think of for a date night!

LOVE this place. God bless the people who came up with Las Palmas…read more First of all, please never change the queso- it is heaven sent and we always take it to-go (I'm NEVER leaving the rest behind) and it tastes even better the next day. This queso is probably the best I've ever had. BTW it is a LIL spicy but I can let that slide. Another great appetizer option would be the Nachos Al Carbon with wagyu. Super good too & honestly you can even order it for just one person as a main dish-- the serving size is big enough. BUT THE REAL STAR OF THE SHOW AT LAS PALMAS ARE THE WAGYU FAJITAS!!! Incredible. Comes with flour or corn tortillas, beans, rice, and obviously the works: sour cream, guacamole, lettuce. You know the vibes. Speaking of vibes, they're always there at Las Palmas. It is always busy but I genuinely don't care and never mind waiting an hour and a half for our table. It's worth it. This place is a confirmed staple in Dallas. Probably come here once a month if not more often. Thank you for great food and good service too- that's hard to come by nowadays. TRY THIS PLACE OUT! This is your sign!

Now, I will note that the parking proved to be a touch challenging, and the grounds were a bit damp from the rain though, I suppose that is simply to be expected. It certainly did not dampen my spirits, because the moment I stepped inside, I was utterly captivated. The decor is absolutely magnificent, adorned with a curated collection of cowboy hats and photographs that beautifully capture the true, authentic spirit of Dallas. It has such character! I initially settled in at the intimate little bar, where the bartender greeted me with wonderful hospitality. To begin, I ordered a Spicy Mezcal Margarita an exceptionally flavorful choice that was executed flawlessly. After a lovely, brief chat with the bartender, the sun began to break through the clouds, warming up the day beautifully. Naturally, I decided to move out to the patio to fully immerse myself in the vibrant afternoon energy. The overall atmosphere, service, and decor are nothing short of extraordinary. For lunch, I treated myself to the Ribs, and they were divine truly delicious and prepared to perfection. Between the exceptional cuisine and the thoroughly satisfying ambiance, this establishment is an absolute triumph. I shall most certainly be returning

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

It was glorious and bountiful--there was ample dressing, cheese, and other ingredients I'm forgetting that made it unique. Unfortunately, during our second visit, the Caesar salad was significantly different. I think they used the same dressing, but there was very little of it. There was nearly no cheese and the other ingredients were similarly sparse. It was still good, but it in no way was the greatest I'd ever tried. I hope that this was a 1-off experience, as it truly was the best. I will report back next time. Service was great both times- they were very careful about my Cilantro request (none) and even though they gladly prepared dishes without it, they also made a list of things that already had none by default. Salmon ceviche, Pork al pastor, Carne asada, and the machete were also very good. The machete is a specialty- it had the house made masa and fillings can vary.
