Great Mexico City style street taco joint. Lots of families there and great selection of meats. Good old school taco joint.

went here as a pit stop on my road trip and now I wish I could go back tomorrow. food 10/10 - service 10/10 - ambiance normal

This establishment is very hot inside. The flat top where they cook all meats is at the very front of the entrance. Therefore, the restaurant gets hot very quickly. I will say all meats are well seasoned and marinated and cooked perfectly. If you order tripa (chitlins) tacos they automatically ask you if you want soft or crispy tripas (chitlins). I will always ordery tripa tacos extra crispy, and they did not disappoint. However, the tacos are small and with double tortillas. If you want grilled onions, you have to order them as a side, but it is a hefty side of grilled onions. When you get your order handed to you, they give you two bottles of salsa, the green and the red salsas. They have a variety of Mexican cokes and Mexican flavored waters. The service is quick with food orders being hot and fresh.TIP: They also do not sell alcohol and do not allow alcohol into the establishment.

This is a beautifully done taqueria. They even have shoe cleaners. They It has beautiful colors and it feels like a home. They have a wonderful selection of food. The Jamaica was so refreshing. Their staff were attentive and so kind. They were so warm and welcoming and the food smelt so good when walking in. The canary yellow trim and large sign will help you find it. Order at the counter. Take a seat at either a booth or table and you get to enjoy the cute robot serving you food. The Cabeza(beef cheek), Suadero(thin grilled beef), and Lengua (beef tongue) was so juicy and perfect texture with the roasted corn tortilla. The torta bread is from a local Panaderia. The chipotle sauce is made in house. I loved the bombocha torta. Perfect for meat lovers. It has friend beef, ham, and seasoned hot dog. It wasn't too much breading on the Milanesa(friend beef) and the jamón (ham) Salchicha (hot dog) was a beautiful melody of meat. The chicken quesadilla comes with lettuce, crème, Mexican queso. 10/10 this is a wonderful spot. The owner was so sweet and even stopped by to say hello. Love this location.

Casual taco restaurant with fast and excellent service! Clean tables and chairs. The tacos are amazing! Full of flavor and generous with the portions. Salsas are spicy and great as a topping. The tortas are also filling and worth it! Excellent prices overall; will be back soon! Parking is limited in fromt of the restaurant, but there's street spaces!

My favorite street tacos in DFW. Friendly counter service and amazing tacos and salsa. My hungry belly is always pleased and satisfied. A lot of seating with booths and tables for small parties or groups.

Authentic tacos were bomb ( I would recommend the other type of tortillas... the meats were well flavored... the salsa ... the service was quick ... I love the decor and the artisanal looking tables, beautiful ...

Small taqueria in the outskirts of Downtown Dallas. Now visiting from NC, we can definitely notice the difference in tacos from NC to TX. These tacos here were very delicious than any taco in NC, FOR SURE! Now with that being said, they didnt blow us away either. They could've been better and bigger. Either way for an agua fresa and 6 tacos it was only $18 and in NC it would've def been around $30+. So either way we were happy with our TX tacos and their price point. Small location but it does have quite a few tables inside to sit down and enjoy your food. They offer not only tacos but Burritos, Quesadilla's and Tortas. Parking is a bit tight and limited so if you come during their peak hours, I can definitely see it being a bit of a problem. The ladies who take your order, they are not the friendliest but they are about their business. They take your order, get payment and get the line moving.

Overall, this place was good. Very VERY cheap tacos but obviously they're smaller + the tortillas are a little mid. But the meat all have great, unique flavor coming from San Diego tacos. Quesadillas (Quesatacos) are the move: price of a regular taco (everywhere else), much bigger and the crispy tortilla + the cheese makes it delicious. Salsas were also great, they had a kick to them. Come for good tacos and cheap prices but don't expect to have your pants blown off.

My favorite taco spot in Dallas. Service is typically prompt even when they are packed, I don't think I've ever waited more than 15minutes to receive my food. Flavor is always good, portions match, and the price is fair. It's your typical taqueria so they have a no frills dining area. Parking is very limited so if you come on a busy day you may experience the parking lot congestion and/or have to park off-site.

Pastor tacos are best anywhere around. They are so juicy and flavorful. Mix it up with green and red salsas and you got amazing combo of flavors. Service is great.

Since the weather has been so nice lately, outdoor seating is super popular, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

Here in Texas, chips and salsa are such a commonplace experience it's off-putting to pay for them. We ordered the guacamole and the chips and salsa come with it, so that was, I guess, better...but the guacamole was $16, so there's that. The salsa was tasty as was the guacamole, but again, for the portion it's really not worth it. We had the queso flameado, which was yummy and the flour tortillas are good! We split the sirloin and were underwhelmed. For a grilled meats place the steak was very under seasoned and wasn't giving us fresh hot grilled vibes. Meh at best, as were the rice and beans. We ordered elote as a side and it was really the best thing we ate. Service was friendly and efficient! Cocktails average $16ish. Again, for the prices we expected better.

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
