When I laughed at the manager's audacity to charge such an outrageously high price, he told me there were two general wash options: $30 and $50. I asked for my mats to be washed. Advertised was $40/4 mats. He said mine would be $80/4 mats because they "weren't rugs", even though mine are rugs. I just didn't have the energy to fight with him, and I genuinely just didn't understand what he was saying. He also added an unadvertised SUV fee of $10. For a grand total of $140. And my car is still dirty. There are dirty spots that weren't wiped clean inside the vehicle. Dirt around my windshield and back windshield. lol. He was also standing intimidatingly nearby the sweet man who delivered my car to me, watching over the transfer, so I didn't feel comfortable to share with the worker why I wasn't happy spending $155 with tip and still having a dirty vehicle. This is my local car wash. Literally can walk to it from my house. I'm sad I cannot no longer support this local business. I hope the managers get some sense in them, lower their prices, and return their service to the previous quality they once had. I may return if that happens. The car was done in less than 10 minutes and came out faster than some of the basic washes. This was incredibly frustrating as I was promised one thing and was completely scammed. I came back yesterday to give it a second chance and they completely missed the front of my car and left all the spots on the interior for me to clean. I always tip 30-40% but always am so so disappointed and feel taken advantage of.

However, I had my timing belt replaced just two and half years ago and have driven only about 22,000 miles since then, so I felt something wasn't right. To get a second opinion, I took my car to a shop in Torrance. After inspecting the vehicle, they told me there was no clicking noise coming from the front of the engine, no visible cracks or other signs of wear on the timing belt, the timing belt did not need to be replaced. They also explained that the timing belt typically needs replacement every 60,000 miles, with inspections recommended every 30,000 miles. The only reason I went to Silver Spur Arco was because it is conveniently located next to my home. Based on my experience, I am concerned that they may have tried to sell me an unnecessary repair, possibly assuming that I was an older woman who would not know much about cars. My advice to others is to be cautious whenever you are quoted for a repair. If possible, always get a second opinion before approving expensive work. It could save you from paying for repairs that aren't actually needed.

Borys did a truly excellent job detailing my family's three vehicles. For each vehicle, he spent…read moreabout 3 hours total. His interior detail was most excellent, he made my cars look new inside - I'm not sure how he was able to clean the perforated leather seats so well! Great work dude! On the exterior, I watched Borys use a bucket of water with something like Optimum No Rinse. He then used claybar to remove surface imperfections, and finished up with a polish and sealant job using a polishing machine. I don't remember the exact products used, but he spent quite a while and quite a few different pads on the process, so it was very well done. Now, I hired Borys to detail my Jeep first. After he left I took a good look at it: The interior was perfect! On the outside, Borys used some kinda black plastic restoration product that made the cowl piece (black plastic by the windshield wipers) look unbelievably new. The paint surfaces overall were very good, there were some surface imperfections he couldn't get out, but I believe you'd need a far more expensive "paint correction" for that. I was so impressed I asked him for an appointment to come back and detail our other cars, one just 6 months old and one about 7 years old. To be honest, I was most impressed with Borys' work on our 7 year old Cadillac. Look at it! It doesn't look that does it. AWESOME work! Everything looks better than I'd expect to see in a showroom lol. So yeah, easily 10/10. I will definitely hire him again. I'll be telling all my friends too!
