We started out wanting to go to Fricks but they were packed and the wait was going to be too long. What now? Then we saw this red and black brightly lit place across the street. Steak & tapas ok let's give it a try. We were not disappointed. Our party of five were greeted and seated quickly. A cozy but not cramped dining room just past the lively bar. At first glance the prices looked high, but we pressed on and ordered several Tapas to start and our entrees. Grillled octopus, wings W/ mild hot sauce, mixed Croquettes, shrimp in garlic. Expecting each to be just a small bite, out came plates loaded with enough of each selection for all of us to really enjoy the dishes. The tapas plates were cleared and our entrees were presented. Three of us had the skirt steak which came with potatoes and vegetables. One had chicken and one Paella. Everyone agreed the steaks were cooked to perfection and were tender and tasty. The chicken was also cooked perfectly juicy with a ton of herbal flavor a dish of salsa verde was on the side which just gilded the chicken. I got some salsa verde for my steak which added an extra punch of flavor. Now back to the price, the quality and quantity of the food justified the prices they charge. IMHO you definitely get more that your moneys worth. You know you had a good experience when the conversation at the end of the meal is what you are going to order next time. read more

Great exceptional customer service! I brought two rambunctious kids and all the servers that day were very kind to the tables with kids. As far as the food I ordered something very authentic and it was divine. I prefer to eat authentic rather than Americanized burgers and fries but there is definitely something for everyone on the menu. The drinks were very good. My husband ordered the burgers and fries and he remarked that they were not as good as he expected them to be. Again I don't think this is a type of place that specializes in burgers and fries. If you want burgers and fries there is a Wendy's that can take care of your needs. But I love the authentic food here and I will come again. I passed by the spot many times because I live locally. For some reason I took it for granted and never gave it a try. That was my loss. My sister was visiting from MD. and it was my mother's birthday so we decided to give it a try on this rainy night. The food was outstanding from the appetizers to the main courses and we all had something different. I was so pleased finally to have good portions of food that do not lack in any way and quality taste preparation and presentation. Everything here was five star. We tried this spot on a Saturday night for the first time. The bartender was great and attentive. Live DJ was awesome! Great selection of beers and drinks. Had a few different apps which were all average and served room temperature. You would find The garlic shrimp cooked with a generous amount of garlic in olive oil but this was just olive oil so not much flavor. The Spanish chorizo normally has a nice char, but this was undercooked and a rubbery texture. Bar pie was just ok. Overall, would return for the drinks and ambiance. read more

We came during the week so we were the only ones in the restaurant, but they were more than welcoming and friendly. We went for brunch 2 pm mother's day service was good. Food was underwhelming and bland portions were small no leftovers for sure. Happy to have another great restaurant in the area! We started with the grilled octopus , it was as good as it gets. I ordered the filet minion and my hubby ordered the ribeye. Both done as ordered. We also had a side of sautéed spinach and mash potato with mushroom gravy. We ended the meal with a key lime pie which we shared, so good! Portions are very good. So I was looking for a new tapas place and was pleased to see this was now open. I started with the crab cakes which surprisingly did not come in the usual patty form but rather in a ball shape. Regardless of the shape they were hot and delicious. For the main course I had a salmon with a dill sauce and a side of mashed potatoes with mushroom sauce. I the meal was prepared well and everything tasted great. Service was good, they weren't overbearing but there whenever anything was needed. I did think the sangria seemed to be missing something, but his just might be my personal preference and not bad sangria. It did seem a bit on the expensive side. HORRIBLE!! We have been there before a few times but haven't been in 6 months or so. So we ordered takeout for my wife's birthday. DISGUSTING! The pretzel they gave us was stale as possible. The 4 homemade rolls that came with dinner and used to be delicious were also very very stale. I had the Porkchops. The last time I had them , about 2 years ago... They were amazing. Tonight they were just down right disgusting! The gravy tasted like it was from a can and the pork chops had a horrible after taste like they were reheated in the microwave from being frozen. Just absolutely HORRIBLE!! My wife had the skirt steak ... she said it was very over cooked and was loaded with seasoning. Not like it usually is. My son had the NY strip.. He said that was cooked correctly but had a disgusting taste to it. It was also loaded with unnecessary seasoning. Our overall out look of the place was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! That was our 8th time or so eating from there. , This was absolutely the most disappointing meal we have eaten anywhere! We will ever set foot in that place. There was an man sitting at the bar, who was continually screaming out loud to himself and acting irrational and the bartender kept serving him!!..Needless to say, we quickly drank our cocktails and got out of there.. We ordered the grilled octupus and beef empanadas - my husband said the octopus was just ok. The empanadas were pretty good; great size for an appetizer. We ordered steak- skirt steak and ribeye. The skirt steak was ordered medium and the ribeye was ordered medium well however we suspect that they may have gotten it moxed up. The skirt steak was well done and very salty I mean SALTY. I came here with a friend for trivia on a Saturday night. It was very crowded and we initially had trouble getting a seat in the front room where trivia is held, but the hostess was very gracious and helpful and found us two seats at the bar. My friend and I ordered mussels, nachos, and cauliflower pizza, and everything was delicious. Our waiters were great and so were the bartenders. We tried this immaculately clean and shiny restaurant tonight and really liked it. We started our meal with tasty chorizo served in a very pretty presentation with arugula and an assortment of hot peppers. For dinner we had homemade beef empanadas, tomato and mozzarella salad, and pork chops, applesauce and fingerling potatoes. We liked them all and would go back again. This was her second time there and I truly enjoyed it we had drinks on Christmas eve even though there was a sign out there that they were closed on Monday. I think they should have removed that as it might have kept people away, because you can't see from the outside if they're open or not. We had drinks I ordered the red snapper and it was delicious.
