I love traditional, Mexican food. The ingredients are made so fresh. I had to have a quesadilla with slice to be otherwise known as the "quesadilla de asada" Cheers, fresh vegetable vegetables, and grilled onions. Mix the pizza made this a wonderful breakfast. But I really did the trick because I ordered the large orange juice thinking 12 or 16 ounces. I think I got the 24 ounces lol this thing is literally a trashcan size of orange juice and it's delicious. I love the open area seating in the television you're playing de Fresh coming out. The ocean goes through the restaurant and with a wonderful food that's been good. It is a gift every time the tide comes in and brings with it and aroma of deliciousness. .

Conveniently located in midtown neighborhood in Ventura. This Mexican restaurant is authentic! Delicious food, great prices, Mexican music playing and clean! Above all friendly and fast service! I will be a regular customer

First off, so good! We ordered : Taquitos plate with rice and beans. I wish it came with sour cream but I'm sure I can add it next time. I love that it comes with the lettuce and guac. Added the green sauce on the taquitos and it was exactly what I needed! Perfect crunch and not soggy . Asada burrito with no rice was good too. They also serve beer by the bottle and can which was a plus in my books!

This place is literally a hidden gem. I am always skeptical on trying menudo or pozole at new Mexican locations, but decided to give this place a try (didn't want to wait an hour for the other restaurant I was planning on going to to open). I went around 9am with my wife (yes they are open that early on weekends. The food was amazing. Hands down, best pozole I've had in awhile and the menudo was also delicious. My wife and I tried each others food. She also ordered the juevos rancheros and I had the chorizo with papas burrito. Every single good item was amazingly good. You won't be disappointed eating here. Whoever is making the food in that kitchen makes it with love! I will definitely be back....most likely this weekend!

I slept on this place for a long time because they used to be cash only. Went in there one day on a whim when I actually had cash (because Corrales and Las Delicias de Abuelitas were closed), and not only did I learn that they take credit card, but that I've been missing out on the best chorizo breakfast burrito I've had in a long time. Sure, the ambiance isn't much and the little plaza seems sketchy, but come on - just get it to go. Very reasonable prices, really good burritos, the spicy avocado salsa is great. They were also very nice and FAST. No more waiting around 20-30 minutes for a burrito like you will at Corrales. If you're in the area or live nearby, it's definitely worth stopping into for a quick bite.

Stumbled onto this place because it was close to my motel. My dinner was the chili reyeno plate. Maybe the best I've ever had.

Parking is, well, if you know you know. :( REVIEW: This is a great little restaurant and I prioritize coming here every time I am in DTVTA. Recently, I was at the Rubicon Theatre and needed lunch after a show. This location is located within walking distance of the Rubicon and is usually so busy each time I come! My marker of a good place to eat is usually on how busy they are. :) This recent visit I had a torta (my first, didn't catch the name) and it was outstanding! The meat was fresh and hot and the bun was flavorful! I did note that on my next visit here I want to try the Hawaiian (?) torta! Can't wait to be back! The service is always great each time. Thank you to the ladies who are friendly and respectful and greeted us (and all the customers) with a smile. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend!

Ordered the usual Watermelon Mojito and fish taco. The tortilla was extremely oily and flat and smooth unlike any tortilla I've seen. The grilled mahi mahi was very overcooked, dry and almost dusty tasting, I did not finish the taco. Fries were okay. I've been here for many meals but something seems to be different! I usually love the flatbread pizza, the leche de tigre ceviche is not what you'd hope of a true leche de tigre. Dragonfruit caipiroska is on the bland side but love the mojito. Still enjoy the $9 and $10 wines and cocktails.

Focusing on tacos let's you really enjoy how delicious their meat options are. Lot of different options whether you want them as a taco or a mulita and all have been delicious. I've thought about returning several times over the course of the last year, but never did until tonight. Turns out nothing has changed, still good food, still loud AF. This time I had a Taco al Pastor. It was excellent, with soft, flavorful meat topped with onions, cilantro and a slice of pina. My wife had a Fish taco, which was impressively large. I suspect that fish taco was every bit as excellent as my pastor taco because my wife didn't offer me a bite, as she usually does. We had been talking nonstop since we sat down, but when the tacos arrived the conversation ended. All I could think was, damn, I gotta finish this taco before she asks me for a bite. I imagine she was thinking the same thing. What I didn't have to worry about was sharing the guacamole and tortilla chips. The serving size of the guacamole is easily enough for two people. And the tortilla chips, same generous serving size. The chips are good too, not the boring chips one encounters all too frequently at other places. I was also impressed by the Horchata here. Way above average. Creamy and rich AF. If you aren't having a beer, you definitely should check out the Horchata. And dog, they've got all kinds of beers up in here! I mean, yeah, cold local beers and even happy hour discounts! Gaw! So, yeah, I love this place. I just wish it wasn't so freaking loud. Maybe next time I visit I'll wear my noise cancelling headphones. Mikey C says: if it's too loud, you're too old. True dat.

First off, the parking here is a nightmare. I literally got boxed in and had to ask someone to move their car so I could back out. Secondly, me and my coworker stop here at 11:30am for an early lunch. There is literally 1 other person there who had already ordered and got their meal just as me and my coworker sit down after ordering. We ordered 7 tacos in total... 30 minutes later the food still hadn't arrived. I finally go up to the counter to see if something was wrong and the guy had no idea about our order and said he was sorry that they had a big catering order. As a former business owner I do understand that stuff happens and a large catering order is good for business but ultimately that isn't the customers problem. Especially the customer that is sitting there at your establishment. Rather than tell us while we were ordering that it might take longer than normal, they don't communicate anything and then don't even address the issue until I go up there to complain. Once that happened the tacos came out in less than 5 minutes which is even more upsetting since this is how fast they should have come out to begin with. The gentleman who I think was an owner did apologize and try to offer some free drinks which I politely declined as I knew I'd never be back again. I hope that this business learns to service the customers properly that are actually dining there and if there is an issue at least takes some initiative to address it on the front side. Most working class people only get a 30-45 minute lunch to begin with so it wasn't cool that we literally wasted 30 minutes just sitting there with no explanation. There are plenty of other good places around Ventura for lunch - especially for tacos. Won't be going back here ever.
