I came to this location in search of some help with some suggestions for a 4th of July party, and I was helped by a wonderful young lady named Becca. I immediately felt like I mattered as a person, not just a customer. Her assistance and knowledge and kindness was absolutely incredible, she was very helpful and knowledgeable about everything I needed assistance with. The store is impeccably clean and well kept, much nicer than the store in my area. I ended up coming back for a second trip because of my forgetting a fruit platter. I ended up being checked out the second time by another young lady named Allee, who was also every bit as friendly as Becca from my first trip. What an amazing experience watching the ladies prep for the days fresh bakery items! I arrived in the 7oclock hour for my 9am order. To my surprise, it was ready! I observed a team of very busy ladies with pleasant attitudes, welcoming body language, and I imagine smiles under their well covered masked faces! I witnessed careful cutting and arrangements of fruit, pastries and other items we eventually consume. The atmosphere was light, welcoming and one to sit back and appreciate! I was greeted by Adriana, who stopped working to go retrieve my order. The cupcakes are for my granddaughters team party today. I give Cherise, their head bakery full flowers for an awesome presentation! Each little one will have yummy cupcakes and a ring! It takes skill and patience for my order of 24 to be perfect! Great job! The design is perfect for us and age appropriate. She is truly gifted with craft and expertise. Liz was carefully cutting fruit and designing several dishes at once. Her gloved hands demonstrated how much care she put into her every stroke. Lea made the cake pops desired and provided a presentation that made me want to purchase those too! Bright and beautiful! Mary Helen was nearby preparing the deli chicken with dynamite care. Although I came for the wonderful cupcakes that Cherise provided with care, I left with an amazing smile, feeling refreshed at such awesome technical care that goes into each bakery item. He turned my partner's and my day from just okay into WOW! His kindness, positive attitude, and sense of humor made us leave with smiles on our faces. He went above and beyond by lifting three heavy cases of soda, carefully organizing all of our groceries in the cart, and treating us with genuine care and respect the entire time. Been back since my last review, the produce and and meat selection consistently have rotting/moldy fruit and the meat section has meat, specifically chicken at the counter that is spoiling and smelling rotten within the day. Recently, Stater Bros changed their chicken pot pie. Now, there is almost no chicken which seems to have been substituted with potatoes. In fact, it seems like Stater Bros just used a can of chicken as filler. The current price is $6.99. I bought the pot pie at the Staters at Van Buren and Arlington. This review is based on the second pot pie I bought, hoping the first was just a fluke. It wasn't. The pot pies used to be filled with lots of chicken, no potatoes and the usual peas, carrots and gravy. I hope they rethink what they did. read more

I had a bit of an emergency situation yesterday where I needed to come up with a strawberry cake for an eight year old child's birthday. That is not an easy cake to come up with at the drop of a hat. I walked into this Stater Brothers which I love because it's big and has everything and they had a strawberry shortcake rectangular small cake available but it looked very formal and not childlike and Chris in the bakery was kind enough to add a ton more icing to it topped it with sprinkles and happy birthday signs and little rings to make it look like a little girls cake it was absolutely fabulous what he did for me yesterday and I appreciate that thank you Chris! Shopped at This store 12/5 about 4pm. Went in especially to buy peppered bacon ends and asked if there were any fresh pkged ones. The lady behind the meat counter told me they already pkged them up and they should be there. I had already looked and know there wasn't any there but some that were old looking. I told her this but she insisted "we already put some out today". What they put out was plain bacon ends. She wouldn't even let this nice young guy who was kind enough to ask if I needed help altho I was already there looking for fresh peppered bacon ends...she wouldn't even go look for any she just kept barking that there was already some out there. She never once left the spot she was standing on to go check. Or even go and check to see if there could of possibly been some in the fridge. She was very rude to me but I heard how very accommodating she was to another lady customer . She asked if she could help in any other way....Although she couldn't of gotten her pompous self out to help me. I normally shop at Barton Road and I never get this type of customer services from them. They will always attempt to find some if I ask for fresh ends. They never talk like the way this lady did at this Mary Store. My mom (senior citizen) slipped & fell in the aisle where appeared to be a spill. She quickly got up out of embarrassment and notified an employee. She was treated as if she lied. Coincidence they don't have a camera in that aisle. She simply needed compassion & they made her feel insulted, embarrassed, and hurt. Came today to get chicken on sale from the meat counter. Dianna assisted me and had a terrific attitude! Dianna was courteous, kind, and provided the very best customer service I have seen in a while at this location. She bagged around $50 worth of chicken for my family into individual packs of 7. Normally, the younger guys working the counter seem angry or unfriendly when helping me and my family even if I repeatedly say thank you , you don't get a response. However, Dianna made this trip to Stater Bros a pleasant one which makes it easier to choose to shop at Staters instead of Ralph's. Thank you Dianna! read more

There's a lot of different grocery stores that are closer to my house than this Stater Bros but I find myself always going back to this one for how great of a meat department they have. There service is always on point especially one worker in particular, his name is Alfonso. He's so helpful and he always dices a prefect roast for me. I'm disappointed to report this store is not doing its best to socially distance it's employees or customers. First the check stands are not spaced every other one. The first half are open and the second half closed meaning people checking out are a couple feet from unprotected checkers on the next lane. Second I asked the manger why it was ok that the lady behind him didn't have a mask and he said "oh corporate got too many complaints so we don't enforce it". Third there is minimal reminders in the store to keep distanced. While there are loopholes in the mask mandate, using every other resister is a simple fix to give its staff more distance between customers. read more

I always go to Staters Brothers but recently the produce hasn't been good. I sometimes use Instacart & seems like they always pick the bad ones. This time I did my own shopping & found a caterpillar in my corn when I cam home. I understand no returns & all sales final right now but what about when items are just bad? Also you are still charging for bags when other stores like Target are giving them away for free. I have bad wrist and although it's a few cents I have purchase so many bags in the past I can't even use them. If I do I need to bag my own groceries. So I had to buy more. read more

Worse costumer service false advertisement they had all the shampoos manzanilla grisi on the shelf with a free sample sticker attached to it and when i got to the register the cashier and the shift manager denied the advertising and they both just repeat i don't know why they have the sticker and i don't know what that means because there was no free samples is not about the samples is about the way they handle the situation very rude.... I usually spend over 200$ per month at this store i may have to switch to Albertsons or Aldi.
