Enchilada

We tried this place for the first time and LOVED it! The food was hot & fresh, the complimentary salsa and chips were incredible, and the service was great. Reasonably priced too. I definitely recommend. We will be back!

We stopped in during the grand opening after a show at Turntable. The staff greeted us right away. The decor catches your eye with bright, festive colors that create a fun atmosphere. The chips and salsa stood out from what you typically get at Mexican restaurants. The salsa had a subtle spicy kick that woke up my taste buds. We ordered the Nachos Locos for our meal: grilled steak with jalapeños, topped with a generous amount of melted cheese. This dish delivers on flavor. And it was perfect for us to share. They weren't serving beer or alcohol during our visit, but I respect their decision to open their doors and start serving customers. I'll be back for a margarita!

This is a place for very good basic Mexican fare - tacos, enchiladas, etc. Everything we had was a step above many of the local places. I had a lunch combo with a crunchy taco and an enchilada. Ground beef was flavorful and not dry (a pet peeve for me at lots of Mexican spots). Enchilada sauce was tasty. Hubby had Arroz vaquero, a dish with chicken, beef, shrimp mushrooms and cheese sauce over rice (see photo). He said it was very tasty. Flour tortillas were fresh and appeared to have been made in house. Fresh chips and salsa. We will definitely go back. I think this will be our go-to for basic Mexican fare. Next time, we'll try the margaritas and guac

Great food, great service and downtown ambiance! A nice restaurant to sit outside or enjoy a cocktail inside.

Tried out this higher end Mexican food restaurant just blocks from the circle downtown. For a lunch…read moredate with friends. Overall a chill environment and ith a nice front patio/ sidewalk seating area. We enjoyed the chips n salsa varieties, surprisingly the darker salsa wasn't spicier just a different flavor. Orde re d the chicken burrito which was gigantic easily enough for 2 to share. Very well made fresh ingredients, covered in sauces and cheesy. And we all tried different margaritas, mine was a strawberry fruity take on a margarita, good and garnished nicely. Rated fresh and flavorful, not very strong and a bit pricey. Especially with some being $100+ for a drink was wild. Overall nice place, nice environment, wasn't busy and tasted good but is priced higher than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

We were seated in their outdoor area where the heaters were not turned on and the day had been rainy and cold so most of the table was cold throughout our meal. The service was a bit slow but it being cinco de mayo, we understood that things may move a little slower than any other day. They had some specials for the day but I got my old faithful, Maria's Enchiladas with steak. It comes with rice and beans and it's just so so soooo good!!! I also got the Arroyo Margarita which was good but def could tell they were adding a bit more sour mix to the drink. Overall, it was a good experience but I will try to come back again on a day that is not as busy.

I have not spent much time in the Eastside of Indianapolis other than Irvington. Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.

Still the best taco I've had!…read more This time I dined in instead of doing takeout. It is teeny tiny inside, just a few tables. But the decor was so pretty and vibrant. I'm pretty sure the owner was the one who waited on us. He was friendly and so patient while we decided what to order. I had the chicken chipotle tacos since I remembered them being so good last time but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
