Maria's is the best Mexican food in Noblesville, hands down. Maria has moved around in the area a few times and has now settled in the strip by Wings, etc. There is plenty of room inside and a few outdoor patio tables for warmer weather. The service is always top notch and they are willing and eager to serve you. We even walked in about half an hour until closing and they were still more than happy to serve us. The food was outstanding as always. First, the chips, salsa, and queso are so good. They have smooth white queso and the consistency is perfect! The best Mexican around! I have tried several Mexican places and coming from a surplus of Spanish restaurants in South Florida this is the closest I've come to authentic Mexican food. So delicious and the drinks are even better. The staff is always so amazing and friendly, we have never had a long wait. They are great!! This is probably our third or fourth time that we have visited this establishment. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and were able to sit on the patio. Service was very friendly and attentive! It was a perfect spring evening and because the patio faces the east, we were not being beaten down by the sunshine from the West. My husband enjoyed two à la cart items, a chalupa and a steak taco. Both very generously portioned & very delicious! All the Ingredients were fresh! I had the carnitas- I have to say these were the very best I have ever had! If you are looking for an authentic Mexican in wonderful surroundings this should be on your list. We know we will go back and even invite some friends from Muncie to join us. Service is great. Employees are so friendly here. Their menu is vast with a lot of lunch special options. The lunch special bean burrito, cheese enchilada, and rice, tasted great. The bean burrito was covered in red sauce. Order included chips and mild salsa. The closest to authentic I can find in the area. Service was so slow, I ordered a 2nd regular margarita on the rocks (I dined alone) and a table near me with 4 people had their margaritas AND their food before my server even had my second one to me!!! I didn't get to sit and eat. The food I did get was satisfying once I got it home. There were a couple of things I asked for that I realized weren't there once I got home. The staff was nice, but it was late at night and they were a bit disorganized. I'll have to try them again for lunch. There's not many actual ethnic places in Hamilton County, and this is about as close to real Mexican cuisine as you're going to get north of 116th that hasn't been white washed served as Mexican when it's actually Tex-Mex; so,... The food was delicious and the service was good. This place is located in a strip mall. The only thing thing that I would change is that this location wouldn't allow you to customize your meal choice. I ordered 3 tacos and they wouldn't let me sub out a chicken for a steak although I was willing to pay the upcharge. We ordered 2 meals, a kids quesidalla, 4 margaritas (3 margaritas + 1 shot) and our total was $88.00. This place is AMAZING. The service is super fast and they get you seated quickly. The food - wow. It tastes fresh. The grilled chicken tacos are my FAVORITE. Since moving, I had to establish a new go-to Mexican restaurant. After trying every one in town, Maria's had the best balance of what I look for in a Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa are pretty good, and free. The salsa is smooth and not too chunky or thick. It has all the typical menu items you would expect, so there's enough variety to keep you trying new things everytime. Tex-mex tacos are average. The fajitas come out hot, the portions are large and reasonably priced. The margaritas are okay, not as good as my previous go-to(I don't think any restaurants will be), but they are miles ahead of the other places in Noblesville are serving. read more

The only good thing about our visit to Maria's tonight was that we were seated close to closing with four hungry kids. We have always come to Maria's and enjoyed the food and the friendly atmosphere. Tonight we had a bad experience and I know we will probably never go back. Server seated us, but was extremely impatient with us. We were served a burrito with uncooked beef and asked the server to cook it more or replace it and he refused. Saying it was fine and the kitchen was closed. If you're looking for a good mexican restaurant in Noblesville, this is the place. I have been eating here for the past few years on a constant basis, and never had any complaints. The food is always good and comes out piping hot and in less than 5 minutes. I tend to always get the chicken chimichangas since it's my favorite. I have ventured outside my comfort zone and have gotten their chicken fajita chimichanga, which just has grilled onions and peppers inside. So good! My husband tends to get something different every time we eat here and it's all been delicious. I'm always surprised that it is still open just because of the location. It is in a small strip mall by the now closed Marsh in Noblesville, off of 32. There have been several restaurants that have opened and closed - so I guess it is a good sign that Maria's has broken that curse. And just a observation, there are always cops here - I wonder if they get a discount? read more

I have been to Maria's twice for a quick lunch with colleagues. The inside is nothing fancy but the service is good and quick. The first time I went I ordered the lunch arroz con pollo, and compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area it was not my favorite. The second time I ordered Huevos Con Chorizo which includes two scrambled eggs blended with Mexican sausage,served with rice and beans. That dish was amazing! I could eat breakfast anytime and the chorizo was top notch! I don't think I would drive out of my way to go to Maria's but I am more excited to eat there next time my coworkers suggest it. read more

Excellent mexican restaurant here in Noblesville. We kicked it off with two grande Marias margaritas which are a mix of Sangria and Margarita. Very good! (If you like Sangria). I ordered the alhambra with steak,chicken, and chorizo. Cheesy, greasy goodness that I threw on a flour tortilla with avocado and yucateca and devoured. My wife had her "go to" mexican favorite -carnitas and was impressed as well. My daughter got a kids cheese enchilada topped with cheese. Pretty cheesy. Service here was prompt and friendly and the restaurant was updated and very nice. Large flat screen TV's and nice bar area. My wife has been coming here for awhile. Glad I finally got to give it a try. I'm sure we'll be back for our Mexican fix. read more

Update: Went again but called in my order. I was given a 15 minute pick up time. I got there and waited 30 minutes for my order which was the same thing I ordered last time that came out quickly. Same thing happened to the lady who was walking in as I was parking. People who came in while We were waiting got their food while we were still standing there looking like idiots. The tacos were good but the beans were still soupy and the rice fell from the previous glory I had for them. All rice, not one scrap of an onion or tomato and bland. I was so upset. Bad experience and I wasted my whole lunch break. I might give them another go but I have been wounded. read more

Another good addition to the Noblesville Mexican food scene. Part of a succession of restaurants run by a group of wonderful people in this area, this place is much better than Las Rocas, where most of the employees, and likely most of the customers therefore, are from. These are the people that were once La Charreada, in the good old days. This place is pretty good as far as Mexican food around here goes. It's similar in most ways to Rio Grande Fresh Mexican Grill. The food is fresh and tasty, but not up to the par of El Palenque. Well, what is? I don't expect that now, or ever. This is close, though. This place is solid. UPDATE: Everything from my prior 4 star review still rings true, but I've decided to upgrade this place to 5 stars. It's the fastest Mexican restaurant I think I've ever been to (the food comes out almost alarmingly fast but always tastes fresh and delicious). The service is always friendly. They have the best beef quesadillas I have ever had and the best huevos con chorizo in Hamilton County. I'd place Maria's as the second best Mexican food in Noblesville after El Palenque. I've decided it's much better than Rio Grande, which is still good. UPDATE: Maria's has the trifecta of "greats" for Hamilton County: my favorite beef quesadilla, my favorite arroz con pollo, and my favorite huevos con chorizo. I've decided it's on par with El Palenque. Maria's, however, does not have the authentic Mexican options that El Palenque does, which is the downside. Horrible service! Food wasn't good, took forever to get our order. Once food came, my enchilada verde didn't have cilantro and onion even though it showed it in the pic, waitress said, "I'll bring side order of it, charge you extra!" I said, "no, that's supposed to come with it, it's in your picture." To which she replied she didn't take the pictures, like what?? Then brought us margaritas from a premix that tasted like zero alcohol so we sent those back. THEN, she didn't give us change and said, "it's tip!" And shut her drawer. So disappointed to have to write this post. We have been Maria's fans for years as they used to be next to where we had dance class. Tonight we went after the recital but realizing they were getting ready to close. The server did not say anything and sat us. He seemed a bit flustered but I thought maybe it was just the end of the night. When my daughter received her burrito, there was a part the appeared undercooked. When we asked for them to remake it, he essentially yelled at us saying it was fine and that they were supposed to be closed. I have never experienced anything Ike threat when I've asked for something to be more cooked. He basically said he wasn't going to remake it or take it off the bill. In addition, the chicken was not cooked like normal and the beans were salty and spicy, didn't taste anything like how it had in the past. We will not be returning and taking our business elsewhere. It brings me heartache to give this review. I have eaten here 20+ times, food is always good and the female waitress is always fantastic. Last night I ordered 3 burrito loco's got the home and the only thing loco was the price I paid for this little burrito. I have ordered this same item multiple times in the past and as per the menu description it comes in a jumbo shell (I'm guessing a 12-16 inch shell). All 3 burritos were in a lightly filled 8 inch shell. I called and advised that I was not given the burrito loco and they stated "would you like us to make you another?" I stated yes and left home again to pick up another small burrito. When I looked at this tiny thing I explained this was not a burrito loco and I was advised that it was and has always been this size then they wanted to charge me almost $15 for it. I refused to pay and was told by the cashier that this was the size of the "to go" burrito loco then the waiter comes up and argues with me stating this was and has always been the size of the burrito. I refused to pay and left him holding the bag and went to Rio Grande who will now get all my business. First of all don't lie, I know he's lying because I've ordered this thing many times. Secondly, I don't believe the customer is always right but if you know their right and you argue anyway, your an idiot. You just lost hundreds of dollars from me and I will tell all my friends the story and you will lose their money too. read more

Really just OK. We have been to Maria's twice now and both trips were unimpressive. The food is very average, but fairly pricey for what you get. Today I tried the Burrito Mexicano and my husband had Arroz con Pollo. The salad toppings on my burrito were nice, but for $12.00 I'm shocked that a normal burrito comes with ZERO sides. No rice, no beans without paying extra. On top of this, both of us commented separately that our dishes were incredibly bland and that the meat had absolutely no salt or seasoning. The queso topping was my only saving grace to my dish. Service was slow and it took forever to get our check and leave. Overall I would say we will not be trying Maria's for a third time. read more
