My table was very sticky. When I asked to move tables I was told that the tables are old and are clean but the sticky is old varnish and they need to be refinished. People I know were raving about First Watch so we decided to try. I got the Salmon Eggs Benedict and was not impressed with it. I love Salmon and eggs Benedict but this wasn't the best. It was a little too smoky tasting to me. My husband got the shrimp and grits and the grits were dry and there was no sauce in the dish like normal Shrimp and grits. My oldest daughter got the pesto bowl and with it being her first time having Quinoa, she loved it and would get it again. My youngest daughter got the traditional breakfast and smashed it lol! She really loved it. The Haze Lemonade was a hit with us as well. We sat outside on the patio because the weather was amazing! Our waitress was the most wonderful sweetest person! After enjoying the heck out of a Yelp event here, I went back this past Sunday with more of my crew. Unfortunately, a sudden staffing issue (in the middle of Sunday rush) hamstrung the speed and everything took forever, but the server told us up front what was happening, so we were patient. Signed in and went to browse the hobby shop, until the phone informed me that it was time to feast! Technology is in good use here. After a long wait due to the aforementioned staffing issue, during which time we were treated to comped toast and coffee, everyone enjoyed the heck out of their brunch. The girls (19 and 14) split a crisp waffle with hot real maple syrup and a beautiful ham and cheese omelette, one of the guys (20) had a hash, and the little dude (11) ate a HUGE slice of brioche French toast with bacon and sausage (both of which he loved). I had potato and cheese envy - the potatoes looked fantastic - but really enjoyed the truffled mushroom omelette, which had become a low-grade obsession after I ate it at the Yelp event. The bread all looks incredible and everything is fresh and well presented. Yum. Glad I ran that morning. Generous portions, delicious mindful food! UPDATE: Second time around was not that impressed. Food took 30 minutes to come out and it was cold. (Minus 1 Star) ORIGINAL: First Watch treated me to a great event. The evening started with a few words from Nate (First Watch Regional Manager). We learned about how fast the restaurant is growing in Colorado--from 6 restaurants to 12 in just 1 year! He also told us about how fresh the restaurant is. They don't use any fryers, microwaves, or heat lamps. They don't use eggs from caged chickens. Another highlight was the coffee they buy is exclusive to them and grown with a company that partners with Project Sunrise and gives back to the community. Finally their juices are madefresh daily! We were treated with 4 different courses and some sweet gifts on the way out! All the food was delicious and the servers/cook did a great job with getting everything out fresh. The servers were also very clear about what we were sampling and how it was made. They were all very knowledgeable. Check out the pics I put up with all the names of what we tried.
