To LATech Computer, Phone & Tablet Repair owner In response to your inconsistent and erroneous account of events and focusing strictly on the unprofessional conduct and lack of customer service and experience, here are my responses: 1) I took the time and verified with Google that you are not a certified repair technician for Google Pixel phones after you completely ruined the phone. I take full responsibility for not having verified your credentials before taking the phone to you. I should have also taken more time to read your Yelp review of the many unhappy victims of your shop with similar horror stories as mine. 2) By your suggestion, we took the phone to uBreakiFix, a certified Google Pixel repair partner. They were able to take the time and properly address the fact that with the proper tools and training, the screen should have never been broken. We'd even provided you the phone number to the repair center that reviewed the phone you broke and which you called yourself to verify. You had even admitted that you don't have the same tools the professional repair centers use which significantly increase the possibility of damaging devices when opening them. 3) After getting the run-around from you for 2 weeks, hours and hours of wasted time coming to your shop and numerous phone calls, I'd finally gotten to the point of having lost my patience and did yell at you. You broke a phone for which I had paid $1,000 and which you didn't want to take accountability for the damage your shop caused. Your irresponsibility to your customers as a business owner is clearly demonstrated when you called the police because I was frustrated of dealing with a shop that basically just cost me $1,000. To top it off, you even had the nerve to threaten me by saying, "Go ahead, take me to court. I have lawyers that will take care of this for me." The reason I questioned my boyfriend about the nonsense deposit he'd paid you is completely irrelevant to you as a business owner and you are trying to divert attention from the real problem which is your lack of professionalism, technical experience and complete disregard for customer care. If your technical skills are as poor as your health diagnosis of me, then I have nothing to worry about. I recently noticed a new phone/computer repair place, on the Southeast corner of Oxnard Ave and Reseda Blvd, we stopped at Baskin & Robbins, and I was going to check it out for my phone repair, but it was too busy at that moment with Covid. Flash forward to today, a Sunday morning. I was doing some marketing work on social media, when I noticed a post about the business I saw the other day. I sent a private message asking for a quote and got an immediate response with a great price. When I checked about hours, they let me know they would be open this Sunday for a few hours. When we arrived, the business is fully cognizant of covid precautions, with clear plastic, a UV lit tunnel to pass the equipment through and a thorough sanitation. The quote I received online was honored, $85 to replace my broken screen and fix the charging port on my Samsung S5, an amazing deal compared to other places I had checked. When we asked how long it would take, they said an hour. It was completed in that time, when we picked it up they showed me the broken back panel and suggested a replacement for $10 and added a screen protector for another $10. I was happy with those suggestions. The location is deceptive from the outside, but clean, and efficient inside. You can see the workbench area from the customer area and as a tech person myself, I knew they were professional. The service was friendly and polite when we dropped off and picked up. I would highly recommend LA Tech to anyone in the area. Great price and service. I hope I don't 'need' their services again, but I would not hesitated to use them if I need to. read more

They said they couldn't do anything and that they would send it in to apple to get a replacement (MEANING WE ARE GOING TO LOSE ALL OF OUR DATA). I took my phone to get a new display since it broke, but when they gave me my phone back, the front camera was not working property (in fact, it was not working). They kept my phone to fix it for days, and they didn't. The guy with glasses told me that he was going to replace the camera and fix it for free, but I needed to wait until they got the camera. It has been 3 months since I have been waiting. I kept texting and calling since then, and they kept saying that the shipping was on the way. I bought the camera on ebay for 5 dollars and fixed it myself, and what I discovered is that, when they were fixing the display, they bend the circuit of the front camera and that was the reason of the problem. I hope people read this and you avoid this guys. If you go to see then, ask then if they already got the camera for me so they remember and never forget. Wow. Kevin is the best! He saves everything! I had taken a macbook pro 15' to a shop on Pico which was convenient for me, the guy put the battery in and then when I went to start it up at home, the mouse pad wasn't working! Argh. I tried to text the shop and the guy didn't respond. Being that I had already had bad luck, I decided to go somewhere else to fix it. I called around a few places, they all were saying things were wrong with my computer which had nothing wrong with it till the battery was replaced!? One said my battery was swollen ( It was a brand new battery) another said that it would take 4 days and anyway.. needless to say it was stressful as I needed to send the mac to someone that afternoon. Well -- I went on Craigslist and Kevin had his business on there. I texted him and he was very cool. Went up to Reseda hoping for the best. First off, Kevin is like talking to a therapist.
