Came here to bring my 11pro max witch i hear is deemed hard to fix once damaged. Took it to a third party and it had all kinds of problem including crashing every so often, then took it to geek squad and ibreakufix and they didnt want to touch the phone. But took it to LAtech, and they where up to the job with great prices, those geeks and ibreak wanted like 3 to 400 dollars, and they said it wasnt a guaranteed that the phone would work again.. but iam glad i took it to LAtech they know what they are doing there, and would come back for any phone repair.. they are the real deal no joke. Great service! Kevin is incredibly kind, and knowledgeable. My 78 year old mother's Samsung Galaxy had an issue with the screen going dark. Kevin repaired it, and now it works flawlessly. A few days later, my mother locked herself out of the phone by inadvertently (again...she's 78) changing the passcode. Kevin reset the phone at no charge! Ok , so here's the skinny on this place.... if I could give 6 stars I would, I brought my iPhone 7plus there because for what ever reason I could not get it unlocked . I bought the phone from offer up I had the phone for 2 years on at&t and just upgraded to IPhoneX so I wanted to give my 7plus to my fiancé who's on another network.. I call att and try to get the thing unlocked ...the phone has a clean imei but for what ever reason they wouldn't do it so I take it to LA TEC spoke with Kevin and he said no problem, now in my head I'm thinking there's no way he's gonna get it done ... I leave the phone there not expecting him to be able to figure this out as other places said no way no how. Kevin is a G , it took about a week and a half but there customer service was fantastic calling me every couple of days updating me on the phones status and then presto! Kevin calls me says he some how magically made it happen. I have no clue how he did it but he did it... I put the new SIM card in the phone and unlocked it was saving me from hearing my fiancé nagging at me that she wants a better phone... Kevin not only gave me my unlocked 7plus phone he gave me a discount because it took a little longer than expected AMAZING!! I like how friendly the owner was, but they don't have your phone repaired when they say they would. I was given a new LCD and screen and it was defective. Last week i decided to take to my phone to this place because my iphone was having issues . So i lend my phone to kevin which he promised he would have it done in "two" days. After two days i went to pick up my phone which he promised it would be done. Kevin is extremely good at repairs! I brought in my iPhone 6s Plus to see if I can get the motherboard fixed as I accidentally ran over my iPhone with my car. I needed all my information out as I never backed up my data. Kevin made no promises but said he would give it a chance. I had previously taken the phone to apple and they said it was impossible. They quoted me 89.00 to replace the shattered screen on my iPad mini 2. They were the cheapest quote so I went. It's a small kiosk on a corner. They're obviously busy and must get a lot of business. I dropped off my iPad and the guy said it would be done in an hour. I said I could pick it up after 5:00 (about 6 hours after I dropped it off) when I arrived to pick it up it wasn't even done. So I had to go back and wait for them to call me. It was done after 7:00 and by then I said I'll pick it up in the morning. I picked it up and the screen looked scratched and cloudy. They had not removed the film from the inside of the glass so I had to wait for them to do it again. Then the iPad wouldn't power up properly. He said he needed to fix the OS..... ?????..... I trusted him and left it with him once more. I now have it back, almost as good as new. Only thing is now the wifi is finicky. It drops and won't see the SSID sometimes and it needs a reboot. Ive been here twice, first time i dealt with Alberto and it was a pleasant experience. Second time I dealt with Kevin and it wasn't.This place is pricier than most places; however, I was willing to pay the extra few dollars because of the great reputation they have. A month ago I cracked my 6s and they fixed it with "high quality" parts. As soon as I got the phone back I was having problems touching certain parts, it wasn't consistent so I didn't tell them about it nor did I think much of it. Two days ago my screen began to become fuzzy, i took it in and Kevin told me it was broken and I needed a new one. I brought up how they had just changed the screen for me and the glass was not shattered, he explained the technicalities of it and I believed him. He than quoted me a price AFTER looking at my phone. After agreeing on the price I come to pick up my phone and Kevin tells me that it's now 40 dollars more because he didn't realize it was a 6s. Let me preface that this is not about money. I explain to Kevin that it was him who made the mistake, he looked at my phone and gave me a price and then he chose to not honor that price. He then admits to me that yes he did make a mistake but that he wouldn't be willing to correct it fully, he would only knock off 10 dollars. I explain to him that what he was doing is not ethical, he gave me a price for services, took my phone and then ups the price 35%. I then give him one final chance to take responsibility for his error and again he refuses. I paid him the full amount and left knowing that I had just been done over. People say that this place has great customer service; I disagree, customer service is about the customer! This place is about themselves and greed. They need to make money, understandable, but when you make a mistake, then admit that mistake to the customer, and then choose to not correct that mistake-customer service is non existent. I hate giving bad reviews to small businesses, but this place made me disgusted. read more

Hi Kevin, It was unfortunate, being berated by someone who was supposed to be fixing my phone. I went to another repair tech and they checked and found out that the vibrator was damaged and so was the phone speaker. They fixed the issues the first time there!!! I am not sure how both you and Sam were not able to catch those issues after I had come to your store 4 times!!!  Anyway, after spending another $80, my issues are fixed. The only way for you to help me now, would be to refund some of the charges you charged me for a fix that created more problems than I originally had.  As to your employee Sam, his brand of customer service, and belief that customer are always trying to get free repairs, may ultimately ruin your business's reputation. I found his ad on craig's list, which can always be skeptical. I've had my Samsung Galaxy S5 cellphone fixed for a week now. I've been going to Kevin since the beginning,which is quite a few years back and I feel like a jerk for not giving him his "well earned" yelp review until now. Kevin and his team are very honest techs, with loads of knowledge. Usually you'd pay a premium to get the quality work they perform, but his pricing is lower than most and his service is second to none! I wouldn't go to anybody else, as I'll remain one of his customers for life. He recently helped me with two MacBook pros and had them both completed under the estimated time and he even gave me a little price break since he was performing the same service to both! I would highly recommend LA Tech to ANYONE who needs phone, tablet and/or computer work done. From a screen replacement to a trashed hard drive. Keep it up Kevin! These whiz kids are killing it on the corner! It's a little weird walking up to a kiosk at a crosswalk to get your phone fixed but they deal out iPhone repairs like street vendors deal out bacon-wrapped dogs in front of Staples! Kevin was the guy I talked to and he texted me back right away and said come by anytime upon my initial inquiry. I was having network problems and thought maybe somehow my phone had become water damaged. Knowing what water damage means to an iPhone, I figured if that's what it was it would be cheaper than just going to the Apple Store to buy a new one. I wanted mine repaired. Within a minute, he had it popped open and diagnosed that it was a network settings issue. I had gone through all of the reset options--or so I thought--but he reset everything, booted it AGAIN and it's been working ever since. Best part, when I asked him how much he wanted--he literally only spent 1 minute on this, even with popping it open to confirm there was no water damage--he told me "No charge." So with that, I feel it's my duty to leave him a glowing review. I have 5 iPhones across all of my family members and I will bring every one of them to Kevin when they have a problem!
