    Complimentary Chips and salsa
    Suzanne A.

The food was very good. It's a small chain restaurant located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The inside feels like Mexico! The patio was also nice and felt secluded even though it was in a parking lot. The waitperson was friendly. The fish tacos were very good. They came with grilled tilapia which I prefer over fried. It came with 3 fairly big tacos and rice. The flavor was a little bland. The ground beef tacos came with 4 tacos and had much better flavor. The mole steak burrito had a very flavorful sauce and was huge! The skinny margarita was good. Topo Chico hard seltzer is also available.

    The Supreme Nacho to go

Hey all! Im at it agaaaain- I'm visiting family and wanted nachos and found this place. What caught my attention is they had ground beef option and supreme nachos. I ordered on Uber that was fine, I called the place just to make sure everything is ok, they were friendly as well. Upon arrival, it was still warm, a little much on lettuce but the ground beef was what I was interested in. Unfortunately, I was disappointed, wasn't seasoned at all, I barely was able to get 1/4 of it down. It was just a season-less plate with lots of lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes. - I THINK I would try something else if a friend paid for me but I wouldn't recommend the nachos, sorry

Went on a weekend- which is probably not the time to go. Our waitress was overwhelmed with other tables, so service was limited. I ordered the fish tacos, very bland, on a flour taco, when I had asked for corn taco. Not well seasoned. Family ordered burritos which were good. Freshly made taco chips were terrific as well as the salsa.. Premium margarita came in large goblet and worth it. When ordering from this restaurant do not order the fish tacos order something else. Serving sizes are large, so you get what you pay for.

    Margarita with Chamoy

It's a funny thing. I haven't been here in 7+ years because of living in San Antonio. Even then, this place was in a different location at the time. For my reunion stop I ordered a frozen margarita with chamoy and for lunch the Molé Queso burrito with steak. The burrito was huge but I felt like I should've gotten beans or rice as a side dish. I guess I should've read the menu closer. The mole sauce was kinda devoid of a kick or a sugar taste, but I thought it paired well with the queso. The steak inside was tender and just right. I'll be back to try out more of the menu.

    Dry flavorless refried beans.

Not impressed at all with this Mexican restaurant. The guacamole is basically just smashed avocados. There is no seasoning of any sort in it. Plus mine had the stem piece in it. The refried beans are color less than flavorless. I got the mango salad with shredded chicken. The taste of the shredded chicken tasted like it was out of a can not fresh, the rest of it was good but I would never order anything with shredded chicken again. We got chicken tacos and by the time we got home a whole six minute drive they were completely soggy. They give no extra sauce of any sort and no sauce with my corn chips and guacamole or should I say mashed avocado? They offer Molé sauce on some items. I asked them if they made it fresh or if it was out of a jar. They said jar. The flan is not rich and creamy the way flan should be I found texture and flavor subpar. No reason to go back to this restaurant other people than the convenience of it being five minutes away.

This was right down the street from where we were visiting. They had a good staff that was accommodating. The food was not bad. The meat was extremely tender! It was a good experience for it being our first time there.

Molcajete, tacos al pastor, horchata, Shrimp Ceviche
    Isabella H.

The horchata was definitely made with tap water and powder. The tortillas were horrible... it was soggy and wet and stale on the ends and couldn't bite through the edges. The ceviche had big lumps of shrimp and some whole shrimp and was lazily cut up. The meat in the taco weren't seasoned at all. Food was not good at all! The rice was very hard and old because when i trying to bite it would crunch. the service was good and staff were friendly just a shame that the food itself was microwaved and stale.

Food is fine. Exactly what you can expect from a fast casual restaurant. The wait after ordering takeout online is atrocious. If the estimated time is very specifically 7:13pm, roughly a 20min wait, and I arrive at 7:15, there is little to no reason why I should still be here at 7:50. Front staff was very accommodating, but the benches were not!

Good food. Authentic Mexican with good flavor. I recommend the Quesadillas and Pepito. The guacamole could use some salt.

Well, everything has changed. I ordered the chicken fajitas with no peppers, only to be told that they coudn't accomodate that request. Apparently they don't cut their own onions & peppers anymore, it comes in as a mix. I'm sorry, but if someone orders no peppers, accomodate them. The fajitas came out not sizzling and stuck to the cast iron skillet. Chicken was lukewarm so it was sitting in the kitchen for a bit. The tortillas used to be in a basket wrapped in a napkin to keep them warm & soft. Not anymore. They came on the skillet with the lukewarm chicken & they were hard around the edges. More evidence of food just sitting around. I loved the chicken fajitas there, that place was what made me even like fajitas. Unfortunately, they have lost me as a customer. They've even changed the way the do the tortilla chips. I don't think they're homemade anymore. They taste like they were dumped out of a bag into a basket. I'm sure these decisions were made to save money. Well, in an attempt to save money, you have sacrificed the quality of the food. Horrible!!!!!

We were nicely surprised with how delicious our recent dinner at Tex Mex Tequila was!…read more We stopped in on a Friday night and were quickly seated; I don't think the word is out about this place yet! The service was very friendly and efficient, with several different employees stopping to check in on us throughout the evening (without being overbearing). The complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic and clearly homemade. We ordered the guacamole as well (which came with another giant basket of chips), which I liked, though husband felt it was a little too lime-y. I ordered the pescado (fish) burrito, which was stuffed with rice, black beans, and fish and came with sour cream and pico de gallo on the side (would have preferred it already on there, but I guess they're trying to cater to pickier eaters?). I also added some of our guacamole for an overall delicious bite and a large enough serving that I was able to take half of it home. Husband ordered an al pastor burrito bowl, but wasn't a huge fan because of the texture of the meat. However, the bowl was otherwise quite sizeable and would likely be a great choice with a different meat. Also... the house margaritas are gigantic. We forgot to take a picture, but easily one of the largest margs I've ever gotten for $10 each. My husband tried the peach margarita, which was fresh and summery as well. Overall, would definitely go back! Happy to have a solid Mexican option on 202!
