This place has a beautiful selection and the owner and other young lady provided amazing customer service. Very helpful and friendly. I recommend going during the week as it is less crowded and if you find something you like somewhere else bring it to Benjamin and he will find it and will try to beat the price. BEWARE!! the service is absolutely atrocious. i came in today to look at dresses and found one that i wanted to try on. the associate with the busted eyeshadow lets us know that she'll help us shortly, completely fine with me but also asks if there's one i'd want to see i show her the one i wanted to try she looks me up and down with the nastiest face and says i'll go check, right after she walks away another associate comes from the back and says you can't try on the dress we don't have an xlarge only large. wouldn't even let me try on the large after asking and kept reiterating that it's not going to fit me. apparently at this shop they can just do a quick up and down look and know forsure dresses aren't your size. there's ways to go about things and to go out of your way to be rude to the customer you're trying to sell to is highly unprofessional. would never recommend to anyone and won't ever be returning. read more

However, when we asked for the price the short stubby lady; Linda, said and l quote "$229, but if you go look at other shops and like a dress, i'll give you a better price for the same one."In Spanish. So we went to look at other dresses in other stores, eventually we decided on the dress at LA Top Divas. So, we went back and if full confidence we checked out the dress just be charged $100 more than quoted. They only told us the "total" when the card was already in; $299, we then asked about it and he said "take your card now" with a nasty attitude. THE RECEIPT SHOWED IT CHARGED "$329"!! I then asked the lady about how she said "$229" and with an attitude and a stank face she replied, "No, escucharon mal." I can't brag enough about how helpful Benjamin was at this store! My daughter needed a winter formal dress and it can be intense shopping for her because she is full figured. Benjamin helped us find the perfect dress and even though it wasn't originally what my daughter wanted, he told us to go look elsewhere and try on other dresses and he would do his best to find the same or similar dress in her size and beat the price. He gave us his phone number and texted back and forth all day. We realized quickly that his dress was the best and the price was great at $150. It even came with matching gloves. If I could give less than 1 star I would. The customer service is horrible!! We went into this dress shop looking for a homecoming dress for my daughter but was basically ignored. Now that 1 star can go for the dresses because they did have some nice ones but they completely overcharge. We tried getting help a couple workers looked busy so we waited patiently by the register because there was a few people waiting to be helped. We waited about 5 minutes or so before even being acknowledged from the person at the register who was ding nothing (I personally would've personally left but my daughter wanted to look at a dress). The guy at the register was so busy trying to help one of the lady's working get a sell both lying to this lady and her future daughter in law saying 480 was a great price for a dress I'm sure they would've found from another store for MUCH less. He finally looks at us and asked what we needed help with, we advised and he said we'll help when we finish with this lady. I'm like ok. But that lady turned into a few being helped (upcharged). I personally feel they're racist, feel they know who they can get over on, have poor customer service or thought I was my daughters sister or something. You never know who has what in the store and should provide the same level of help to every customer. I'm pretty sure I could've put purchased everyone in that store (my husband and my child's godfather are both high paid athletes). Thank God, my cousin, went with me to the bridal stores. Right before I was about to make the purchase, my cousin looked at the price tag. Couple minutes later she pulled me aside and says, do you wanna go with me to downtown LA on Sunday ? I can almost bet they're going to have better deals and save you a lot of money.. Say less you had me on better deals ! If you've ever read any of my reviews, you know I love a good deal. Specifically right now I'm saving my money for travel. There's literally thousands of these stores, but this was just the one! Immediately, I bumped into the owner Benjamin and asked him if he had a specific dress in a specific color. He said no, but I can order it for you. OK and then, after looking around more , we ended up finding the exact two dress options that my mom had picked out. At first she was being very specific about the dress type . Then at the end it was just becoming too much of a hassle working with different body types ! After watching Sex and the city the movie. She realized it would be fine if everybody pick their own dress just in the same color. I put on the first two dresses on list . They did not look good on me. I felt very discouraged and this is the point where I started complaining. I don't have the body for this. Immediately the assistant (I hate that I don't know her name because she was so amazing) Said there's nothing wrong with your body it's the dress. This just isn't your dress . Now you have no idea how much this lie really made me feel better. She asked me what do you want. I explained to her she said hold on honey. She did it she found it! She was so hands-on zipping me up in the changing room. She had a lot of fun going back-and-forth with my silliness. I love her so much! I hope that her boss read this review and give her a raise and a beautiful lunch. She really knows what she's doing. Another thing I'm very happy about . This place has benches. None of the stores have nowhere to sit but this one did . My poor nephew were sitting all over the floors in all the other stores. You ask politely to the salesperson and get ignored, ask the guy at the register and his response is take a picture of the dress and go to the back and the sales ladies will help... wrong! My niece fell in love with a dress and the sales lady also pumped up the sale and got her more excited and when we asked for the price it was a solid and confident $200.00. My niece said yes to the prom dress and when we get to the register, the guy says it's $300.00 because it was incorrect information. Working in sales you honor the price, we even said that the information provided to us was incorrect and we offered $250.00 and he said no. Long story short they lost the sale, we left with an upset girl. $50.00 isn't going to make or break them. I was excited to find a dress for a wedding. The dress was $300. I was never told "no refunds." There is apparently a sign that says no refunds, but the owner Benjamin sits in front of it at the register, making it not visible. I got home only to find the dress was not $300 quality and the sewing was coming undone in multiple places and the dress was snagged. His dresses are made in China. I immediately called and went back and tried to get a refund for the dress. And that is when he told me no refunds. I was disgruntled to say the least, but he promised me a brand new dress same size that I could come back downtown yet again to pick up. I requested that the new dress come with a price tag. When I picked up the new dress, it was taped up in a and handed off to me. I grabbed it left and put in my closet. As it got closer to the wedding date in August, I went to try on the dress again, only to find out he sold me the exact same dress with the exact same defects, except now the thread was unraveling at the bottom. And no price tag. Claims it's now last season, and I can't even get a partial refund or credit. This place is a joke. Stick to a reputable seller. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. My best friend just experienced the most RIDICULOUS size discrimination in this store. We went in and were looking to try on two dresses. We waited around for quite some time because there was a line for trying things on and the staff was largely cold and unhelpful. The man working in the store finally walked up to us to "help" looked my friend up and down and then refused to let us try on either of the dresses she was interested in because the "style we wanted runs small" and he was apparently worried about her damaging the embellishment on the dress. First of all what the hell. That's not a thing. Secondly do you want to make money or not. Who does this? This place is a joke. The most negative experience. Luckily my friend has worked in bridal for years and knows what he was telling her was complete bullshit. But I feel bad for women who don't have that knowledge and context and would take what this horrible man said to heart. I can't imagine she's the only person they've ever done this to. It's the most unprofessional thing I've ever witnessed. We'll be following up with the BBB and LA county about this experience. Came into this store with over 12 years of working the bridal and formal gown industry to be REFUSED to try on a dress due to a VISUAL size "assessment" by the male associate working here. Truthfully, my concerns are more for anyone who is looking for a special dress for a special day and be made to feel anything less than special as they don't have the same knowledge or experience on dresses that I do. Shame on this employee but more so management and owners who employ inefficient, ignorant and uninformed employees who are likely not making this business a success due to their lack of knowledge, and prejudice. Based on the reviews below, it's probable this store is a front for another type of "business". But do a better job at actually being able to sell gowns to buying customers regardless of what size you believe them to, what they look like and/or how much money you believe that they have. And for the associate, a supposed $1K dress with glued rhinestone tracks would not pop off no matter who tried it on. And with a 1" tolerance, it can be altered. LEAVE THE STORE The lady behind the counter showed me some suits and the suit I finally chose she took to the counter and told the man behind the counter, something like, "Cost doesn't matter." So the suit that we going to sell me for $800 ended up $1300. Then when I went to pick up the suit, I did not have a chance to view the suit before the lady put plastic over it and put it in my hands. (All sales final was on the receipt... not exchanges and no refunds). BEWARE OF STORE THAT HAVE all sales final, no exchanges or refunds.. AND you paid for the item up front. Benjamin kept promising to get a dress and always said "let me call you back" but yet he never returned one phone call of mine. Today he told me if I wanted my money back that I needed to contact my bank and have them refund the money. He was very rude to me telling me "I gave you your options of what do do" (which was contact my bank). He then hung up on me and would not answer when I called back. My best friend and I went to this store yesterday. We did not get a welcome greeting or anything which was not even the worst part. My best friend found a dress to try on and she asked the older woman who had been behind the register (but was now helping customers of her own race) if she could try it on. The woman took the dress from her, looked at the price tag, looked at my best friend up and down and said "this dress is $349.00, is that ok?" And my best friend said yes and we walked toward the dressing room. Needless to say, my best friend stopped, turned around and said to me she no longer wanted to try on the dress. I think we were both a little stunned and puzzled as to why the woman said that to us. So we hung up the dress and walked out. As I walked out I expressed to the woman how rude she acted toward us. She was in front of customers and she kept apologizing and trying to give a poor excuse for why she did that, but it was too little too late. I'm not one to play the race card, but I feel strongly we were ignored and then treated as if we had no money simply because we did not look like she did. I never recieved a call because they wrote down my number wrong. When my dress finally arrived and I went to go pick it up they tried to pawn off the sample on me! Telling me that it was a brand new dress when it cleary was the sample that I tried before with all the stains and beads missing. The suits were of poor quality, despite the fact that Benjamin had told us the suits were of high quality. The suits he sold to us were more than double the price of the same suits that were advertised online. When we tried to return some of the suits, he was extremely rude and he refused to provide a refund or exchange despite the fact that it had been less than 24 hours since we purchased the suits. read more
