Located in the one and only Naples, FL this place offers many opportunities waiting to be taken on next by you! When you walk into the La Trattoria in Naples Florida you feel you have just walked into the most authentic Italian restaurant ever. If you have never been to Italy this is what a restaurant there would feel like. The tables are lined with red and white checkered tablecloths and candles. The walls are lined with a display decoration with pasta and the tables are filled with old canned tomato jars with bread. It allows comfortable seating and plenty of space for many customers. The employees are very nice and super respectful. This restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of options for the whole family. The drinks are to die for and are so refreshing and they came out in less than 5 minutes. The appetizers were priced at a very reasonable price for being so scrumptious. Each appetizer was priced at about $10-$15 and came out with a good amount, enough to fill 3-4 people. The other 7 food critics and I ordered a Caesar Salad, Burrata Special, Bruschetta Classica, and Bread w/ butter that came out astonishing and delicious. After our appetizers, we ordered our entrees which came with plenty to fill you that ranged at a price of about $18-$36. I ordered Shrimp Scampi over fresh pasta and it tasted lush and came out blazing hot. All of my other food critics ordered similar Italian-style dishes and were overly pleased with how everything turned out. Everything came out hot and fresh and the quality of the food looked amazing and tasted even better. After all my food critics were done everything we were stuffed. I loved the way this restaurant was run, especially since when it was someone's birthday they made a celebration for them gathering attention from every customer. I recently celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the food was good, several issues overshadowed the evening. Firstly, my husband mentioned it was my birthday and was told they could bring dessert, but we couldn't have any birthday singing. However, we noticed that other tables were celebrated with staff singing, which felt quite unfair and DISCRIMINATORY . Additionally, we ordered cocktails, but each one was made inconsistently. The first cocktail was overly sweet, and we had to send it back for a remake. To add to the discomfort, the table we were seated at was wobbly and even spun around slightly, which made the dining experience uncomfortable. In summary, while the food was enjoyable, the overall experience was marred by inconsistent service, unequal treatment, and an uncomfortable seating arrangement. I've walked past La Trattoria more times than I'd like to admit... and wow, I've been seriously sleeping on this place. Finally stopped in, and I'm glad I did. Ordered a pizza and it absolutely delivered -- super flaky crust, tons of flavor, and the kind of bite where you immediately know you made the right decision. Not trying to reinvent the wheel, just doing it really, really well. This time our server was told they don't do the table side pasta at the moment so my fiancé ordered something else! When are food arrived we noticed another table got served the table side pasta (cacio pepe). We asked our server and she apologized and felt so bad because she was confused. Although it is located in a great spot and perhaps it will continue to do ok , our last visit, surprisingly it was beyond mediocre .. Out with Authenticity In with Mediocrity Food Menu has a few changes ( in text) but the execution has dropped tremendously . Overall, I'd give this restaurant 4 stars. The service was friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant experience. The food was decent, but nothing really stood out or made me want to come back for it specifically. The real highlight of the meal was the tableside tiramisu. He was wearing a formerly white dress shirt with what appeared to be older stains (didn't clean during a washing, not recent and a normal job hazard) coupled with a cloud of cigarette smoke. Every time he came to the table you could smell him first. Also, because the restaurant walls are white, the greyed shirts are even more obvious. I looked around and the two female servers near our table had on equally grey shirts. Time to buy your team new shirts and talk about regular cleaning with Oxi products or a little bleach. The question you have to ask yourself as a diner: if they don't care about the cleanliness of their customer facing servers, what does the back of the house look like? Please address this promptly! Your restaurant is too good to overlook this.

So...what was wrong? Our first visit, green dining room. Lovely woman, very good service. Second visit, the other room (with the pizza oven and gelato station). Our server was...let's just say he was in a VERY confused state. -Came to the table with a water pitcher. "Oh, we'd like bottled water, please." Okay. -Took our drink order. -Circled back a few minutes later and took our food order. Interrupted me as I was giving it to say, "I'll take the dessert order later." Okay, no worries. -No drinks. -No drinks. -Bread basket ordered. -Bread basket arrives. -Apps arrive. -Server comes back to confirm food order (maybe don't interrupt me and you'll "hear" it). -No drinks. -I inquire about drinks. "You ordered drinks?" Yes, we did. "Sorry, lots of tables and I'm the bartender, too." Really?! Okay, you know what, just bring the wine. -Server knickname given - Excuses -Brings wine. -App plates cleared. -Entrees arrive. -Server comes by to check on things. Great. -Server comes by, starts "refilling" our glasses with tap water (with the bottled water still on the table. Whoa! -Entree plates cleared. -Server takes Dessert order. -Desserts arrive. -Server arrives in the middle of dessert to ask if we'd like dessert. Whoa!!! Look, we're there for the deal, but we're diners and we're not jerks. We like to order and enjoy a cocktail, bread basket, contorni, add a few bucks to the tab. We generally tip well. The Server did himself a disservice by not offering any add-ons, and providing opportunities to increase the check (bottled water, sides, etc.). We tipped fairly despite the multiple snafus. Barbatella is a very nice restaurant with delicious food and a wood burning oven (a personal weakness) offering a VERY good deal right now. This restaurant is one of our favorites . We love their Margarita pizza …read more We always sit at the bar due to its much quieter and quainter . The bartender Natalia is wonderful with a great personality and attitude. She had a full bar as well as taking care of the servers drinks. She never missed a beat. When a male bartender eventually joined her , he was not even close to the welcoming personality as Natalia . He seemed to be simply in the way . We have had other food there , which was also delicious. Yet we usually stay with our Margarita pizza . I would recommend this restaurant and I have several times to family and friends.
