This is a love it or hate it restaurant. The decor is no frills and it's not a romantic candles on the table kind of place. However, if you want an authentic Italian beer and a piping hot meal this is the place for you. Although all of our meals were good, when I go back I will be asking for the peppers in the Italian dressing to dip my bread in. For dinner i will be having the fried chicken and saving room for the wine sauce ice cream. We had great service with important recommendations like the wine sauce ice cream. There were two in our party. The bread and rolls were hard, the veal was microwaved frozen. There was little "fresh" ingredients. All of the pasta comes with the additional option of being hand tossed. I did not choose that option and the noodles were store bought. People are nice, but the food is overpriced and not good. I agree with previous review that the fried chicken is good. The only other thing on the menu that is worth getting is the rib eye steak. I ordered a pork chop once and got shoe leather, next time I ordered chicken alfredo, and got a sauce the consistency of milk the net time I ordered fried shrimp and was told, "cook said they put to much pepper in the flour". I belong to a senior citizens group called "The OWLS." All 14 of us eat out once a month. Wednesday, 12/20/2023 we had our dinner at LaTronica's. My wife and I had the Shrimp Boat; it consisted of 6 medium sized shrimp with teaspoon of garlic butter, a baked potato, and a vegetable size dish of salad for $22.95 each. The bread sticks and the baked potato were okay. The shrimp was supposed to be baked; it was cold in the center. Then the bill came: They added a 25% tip, taxed the food and the tip, and added 4% above the ticket, I guess because I used a credit card. When I called to speak with one the owners about our disappointment, he cursed me out on the phone (he had been tending bar and was drunk) and told me to come down there and he would f--- me up! I wouldn't get a toothpick from La Garbage. Very rude people, and they do whatever they can to cut costs. The marina is watered down, and I've had better canned sauce. I stopped in Pueblo to see family and came across this amazing restaurant. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiles. I can tell it's definitely a family oriented restaurant. Love that! They can crow about all their long history, but this place has some of the worst Italian food i've had in a long time. The portions are skimpy and frugal and if you get any meat be prepared to be dissapointed. I've had 3 meals there and each one was worse that the previous. From Shrimp over pasta, which was cut up into small pieces to spread a meger portion...to a so called half & half Meatball and Sausage over pasta. The Meatball was smaller that a Golf ball and the Sausage was about 2 inches long. Theirs sauce tastes canned and so do the veggies. Very disappointed with the meal here. I ordered a steak, which was completely bland and unseasoned. My brother got the lasagna and we were both disappointed. Upon looking at the lasagna, it appears processed as the meat in it is compressed. Sauce had good flavor but my brother had no desire to finish it. Salads were plain and the ranch had a lot of dill flavor to it. The fries I got with my meal were still raw and crunchy and I didn't want to finish my meal. Won't be returning. When I first drove up, I was not sure I was in the right place. The outside wasn't what I expected for Pueblo's favorite Italian restaurant. However, I decided to go on in on the recommendation of a Dominican priest, Father Louie. I quickly felt better. The staff were very friendly. There was a homey atmosphere. The salad was crisp and fresh and the bread warm and crusty. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food and every thing was fixed fresh and piping hot. Two weeks ago 5 of us came to this restaurant seeking historical great eateries in Pueblo. Pretty much all the negative reviews we're true for our night. No GOLD standard of greatness anymore, we were banished to the back room like we deserved to go the the principles office and all we said was, " 5 of us." In the back room, you get slow service, bad salad (not fresh) cold bread out of a brown paper bag, fear of asking for olive oil or warm bread. Handmade ravioli's probably not hand made but they made us wait a long time and took our money for hand made. The sauce ordinary jar sauce, the plates were cool to touch and potions small and barely warm, the price was big for next to nothing. Oh my goodness! Driving from Texas, looking for a local place to eat, this popped up. Being seafood and Italian livers, we drove right here. The menu is perfect size for items, handmade pasta, fresh fish, specials. The food is absolutely fantastic, including the salad with blue cheese crumbles... I had not been to Latronica's in 30 years or more, but I took my son there recently and liked it so well that I had to take my wife on our next trip (she had never been there) This place is straight out of the 1950s, the décor unchanged but repainted and reupholstered and recarpeted, so it is in good shape, The menu was just as I remembered it, with all the Italian basics, including the salad. Had great lightly breaded walleye one night (surprised to see it outside the Midwest) and trout another. Spaghetti looked good, although my wife thought hers was a little overcooked. My only quibble was that the breadsticks came out old. Service was old-fashioned good -- a little informal but very friendly. I will not wait so long to go back again. read more

What came out was a chicken breast, thigh, and leg (whole with bone in) over a tiny bit of pasta with some canned mushrooms and drowned in so much marinara sauce that you couldn't see what was under it. What a gem! Went here for a bday party and they had no problem accommodating our large group. I had the homemade spaghetti and meatballs which comes with a house salad and complimentary rolls. I've been eating at La Tronicas for over twenty years, some of the waitresses I remember have even passed away. This place use to be awesome, but nowadays it's just plain gross, sorry. They charge ridiculously high prices for lackluster food at best. They served raw steak to my girlfriend and didn't even acknowledge it or even adjust the bill as a way to say sorry. We go to Giodones on the mesa now. Great food and half the price of this place. It was my mother's birthday dinner. She had always wanted to go there. Disappointment greeted us as we entered the front door. The place is outdated with 1960'a furniture, that wasn't the worst part. We were brought a basket of COLD bread straight out of the fridge. The salads was practically bagged salad mix. We took into consideration of leaving after the salads. We then decided to give the food a chance. It was HORRIBLE! Tv box dinners are better than what we ate. The waitress noticed that we left our food and brought us free ice cream. Just stopped here for dinner while driving home to Denver from Phoenix and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It's a very traditional old school family stye restaurant full of locals but the pasta is fresh and the service was great. My family and I ate here because we were passing through Pueblo for the eveing and we were in the mood for Italian. We found this place on Yelp and it seemed to have decent reviews so we decided to give it a shot. Worst decision of our vacation. First I will say that our waitress was extremely friendly and seemed to be a super sweet lady, however the food here was horrible. I am dumbfounded by th positive reviews from others here on Yelp. All 4 of us ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. The sauce was honestly some of the worst marinara I have ever tasted in my entire life, maybe the worst. The consitancy was that of canned spaghetti sauce, the flavor was completely bland and lacking of any seasonings, yet oddly it was overwhelmingly spicy. It literally tasted like they opened a can of cheap spaghetti sauce added some cayenne pepper, heated it up and poured it on top of spaghetti noodles. As for the meatballs, once again no flavor, totally bland. Also, the texture was very processed. Im not sure if they were frozen meatballs or just very poorly made fresh meatballs, but either way they were terrible. I might expect this quality from a tv dinner, but certainly not from an Italian restraunt where I'm paying $10 a plate. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of one is that our waitress was so sweet and friendly and the bread they brought out before the meal was pretty good .
