best. place. ever. It doesn't need any explanation. Alohana is the only place that I would go to…read moreeveryday for food. So delicious! The staff are very nice and kind people that will always treat you nicely. Alohana has little games set up for kids or adults to stay entertained, and has little pieces of decor for sell. I would DEFINITELY suggest to go to Alohana.

I thought it would be a fun treat to bring my daughter her favorite smoothie at Alohana Bowls, so I…read morebraved the parking lot, which is the size of a tiny NYC studio apartment, and went in. The line was about 10 people deep, so I decided to place the order online for my two smoothies and sit and wait. My order said it would be ready in 10 minutes, but I figured it may be a little longer given the line. So I sat down and watched about ten people order and get their bowls. After about 20 minutes I went up to the pick up counter and asked if I could check on my order. The young lady asked what I had ordered. I said smoothies and she said "I don't know I'm doing bowls", turned her back and started doing....well bowls I guess. After that super helpful interaction, I sat back down and waited some more. 30 minutes after I ordered I approached the counter again. The bowl person looked at me, walked away and started petting a dog in the shop. Her enthusiastically helpful nature is certainly something to be studied (that's sarcasm for those who missed it). Finally, an older gentleman approached and asked what I had ordered. A few minutes later I finally had my smoothies. Were they worth the 30+ minute wait and the parking lot game of Tetris? Not especially. Will I go back? Not likely. Had the Bowl Baroness been more helpful perhaps I would have left feeling differently.

A cute little spot in San Clemente, this place embodies everything I imagine in a beach city gem…read more The Nachos are hefty in both portions and flavor. Everything worked well together, and omg that Cheese pull. What this place IS, IS because of the details. The setup, the décor, the AMAZING workers and how cheery and helpful they were... the cucumber/lemon water, the samples of yogurt while you wait, and the hot sauce options, all make for an enjoyable experience. Good food can be found anywhere, but when you pair that with an atmosphere that is both soothing, welcoming, and charming... you've got a home run. Oh speaking of details? WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE MUSIC? I don't know if it's like this everyday but the oldies playing ties everything together. Summers here have got to be magical that hit on beach city nostalgia. They've got alcohol. What? So you know we had to try what they had on draft. This Active Culture location is pretty popular too, because as I write this. People are pouring in, and door dashers are picking up. Winner. Winner. Fresh ingredient dinner.

It's healthy and quick which also makes it a good option to take out and eat at the beach directly. I'm so happy they finally added chicken as a protein option you can add on, but the star of the show had to go to the nachos and the orange creamsicle smoothie!! I'm not kidding when I say this, I'd take this smoothie over the erewhon's orange kinsicle smoothie.
