It was our first time at Seasurf fish this past Wednesday and i already can't wait to return. It is a small seafood restaurant that has plenty of outdoor seating and also bar seating. Although it was pretty packed when we went service was pretty quick and they even bring the food out to your table. We ordered the poke nachos, fish and chips, and clam chowder. I put my spoon in. It did not sink. At that moment, I knew. This was not soup. This was a lifestyle. A structural entity. And it was GOOD. Creamy, thick, unapologetically clam-forward. Not quite Santa Cruz enlightenment, clouds-parting-angels-singing, but honestly? Strong contender. We're talking solid top 4-5 chowders of my life, and I do not say that lightly. Now, my salmon bowl? There was a long line out the door at 12:15 pm which was a promising sign. I ordered a half dozen fresh Oysters along with the Hawaiian North Shore Garlic shrimp. The oysters were fresh and delicious. There was a hiccup with my shrimp order and it ended up taking 30 minutes for my food to come after I flagged this to the staff. This was unfortunate but they did offer me a complimentary soda after I requested this due to the inconvenience. The dish itself was very good. The shrimp was tender and flavorful and I did feel like I was back in Hawaii. Just a note, there is a sweetness to the dish that was unique as I was used to more of a garlic butter flavor base. I had the Chimichurrri Shrimp Burrito (5/5 - huge and tasted amazing). I added some heat by trying their three hot sauces (yellow, green and orange). All were great. I also tried the Poke Bowl (4.5/5), Lahaina Shrimp Garlic Noodles (2/5 - shrimp is good but pasta was not), and the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl (3/5 - tiny portion of salmon). So it was a mixed experience. There was a small line when we entered around 7 PM. We opted to order the grilled fish tacos and the garlic clams in broth. The items are cooked to order and took a few minutes, which is fine. The fish tacos were just OK. There was obviously the corn tortilla and a large amount of shredded cabbage. The fish was the tail end of the fish if that makes sense very thin, dry, tasteless. I could not chew part of it because it was almost like so overcooked and plasticY if that's a word. It came with chips and salsa, which were fine. I probably would not order this again. The clams are also good. It came with french fries that were crisp and hot. It had a good broth flavor. They require a few of the clams, which was nice to see. And then it came with two grilled smashed pieces of bread, which were just OK. We dined outside. You order at the counter, get a number, water/utensils are self-serve, and your food is brought out to your table by the workers. My wife and I enjoy the Seasurf Fish restaurant every time we come to S. C. for vacations. The food, beverages, and service has always been very good. Our recent visit while on vacation will be memorable for a very long time because of what occurred when we left the outside seating area. During my drive back to our hotel, I realized that I didn't have my wallet. I quickly called Surfside and spoke with Tory who assured me that it had been found and turned in by Gabby who found it on the ground next to the table where we had been seated.
