The first time I had my nails done here it was a better-than-average experience. However, the second and third time I felt more of a bother to the staff than a paying customer. Yet I decided to try them again because of their convenience and a simple nail color change. They were polite when they assumed I wanted a manicure with gel paint for a minimum charge of $45 when a basic color change is posted for $10. When I questioned the charge and stated I only wanted the color change she stated the charge then would be $25. I didn't understand the absorbent charge. Especially when she said the regular nail polish would clip (though before gel polish that would have never been said to a customer). When the lady realized I wasn't paying for a gel color change then the wait became 30 minutes or longer. Apparently, the owner doesn't need to be bothered with such a simple customer. I said if I was a bother for them I could go somewhere else, so here rocking it at Elite in Denton! Walking out was a great choice. Here they appreciate all customers!! read more

I go here often, have had several ladies do both a pedicure and dip manicure. Kathy is great for dip! Most of the ladies have been fine, even when I can't get Kathy. I think it's a bit pricey, but trying to figure out what isn't these days. read more

Ember was awesome! She did a very relaxing pedi for me and I will definitely make sure I use her each time I go! My baby girl got her nails done as well and they came out really nice. We are new to this part of North Fort Worth so I am glad I was able to find a new nail tech. We were also walk-ins today and were able to be in our seats within 5 mins of arriving. I got a pedicure yesterday with a few friends - overall experience was nice, but the lady who did my pedicure was very aggressive with the callus removers (foot file and block thing). Unfortunately, she scraped the back of my heel quite high, and caused me to bleed. I immediately flinched and pointed it out to her, but she barely acknowledged it. My nails look fantastic, but my heel hurt quite a bit, and I walked out of there with it dripping blood. I took a photo of the scrape when I got home & cleaned it off, and again today, to show how deep it is. I'm undecided if I will come back- the location is great, the selection of polishes is great, and my nails look great.... And I know accidents happen, but more care should be taken to not injure clients. read more

Updated Review: visited this salon again to give it another chance. Went with a group of friends for a birthday party treat. Appointment started on time, staff was friendly and courteous. We did mani/pedis and a few service add ons. Services provided were spot on. Seems opening kinks have been worked out. Our group plans on revisiting again. I appreciate the manager for reaching out. No refunded required. A service was rendered, and turnaround has been amazing. I've visited this salon 3 times, and each time I've had a different experience. I'll start with, the staff has been very friendly at every visit. I've utilized their waxing services and have done mani/pedi. Waxing services went ok, but at the end when they put the witch hazel on. The cotton ball was dry, and rubbing that on freshly waxed under arms hurt. I told the girl and she added some more and sincerely apologized. (I wasn't upset at all and moved on). Next visit. I made an appointment for a mani/pedi for my son and I. I waited 15 minutes in the chair for someone to start my service and my son waited almost 30. I understand being short staffed, but I made an appointment a week in advance. I had to warm up our water, because all the ladies were busy with other customers. When I asked for a firework design (4th of July) on my nails, 3 different technicians said they didn't know how to do design. And the technician doing my pedicure said she'll try her best... the price point for this salon is a little high for "winging it" in my opinion. Lastly, I really had an issue with a Facebook post from the salon when looking for staff. Written in Vietnamese (detected by Google Translate & c) the help wanted ad said, "White American Area." I don't feel this is appropriate and made me uncomfortable. After my third visit, I really don't see myself going back. I feel I've done my due diligence in trying to support a local business, and provide a fair review with multiple visits. 3 stars is generous. The staff was kind on my visits, the place was clean and it's easy to get to. Lack of experience, price point and uncomfortable public post. Not impressed. Was in and out in about 20 min with dip nails. They do have so many color options, but they rush you. I left with glue all over my fingers because they were in such a hurry to get you in and out. Usually nail artists use the tool to get the bulk out from underneath and that was not done, so now my fingers feel very uncomfortable. Will not be going back. read more

First visit to Lavie nail salon everything was going well, then he polishes my nails, the left hand looks nice the right hand not so much. I tell him and he says it will dry and look good. Well it didn't. Went to the front desk to pay and the lady says how was your service, I say not really happy with the nails on my right hand. First she tells me it's my nails! Nope, left hand looks nice. I said no its your watered down polish is too thin. Then I show her two nails have no polish on the tip. She says go sit back by the nail dryers. She comes over and only takes polish off one nail. She put 3 coats, it looked better but not great. She polished over the 3 nails and said that's the best I can do! I let them dry, paid and left. The thumb nail looks like crap! The problem at this salon is they seem to care more about quanity then quality! Very busy and had no time to redo it right! I don't live here so I won't be back. Just don't expect quality if they are busy. read more

DO NOT get your lashes done from here. I'm pretty sure they use cheap glue now, and they don't use single haired lashes like they use to anymore either. Anna did mine, and was unprofessional. My eyes were starting to get irritated bad, and she even said herself she was scared for me to open my eyes when we got finished? When taking the tape off my eye it hurt BAD. Eyes were watering, burning, and itching. Now my eyes are sore, and a bit swollen ): When they were burning she didn't really know what to do, except get a piece of paper as a fan, and kept wacking me in the face with it on accident. Lmao. Just save yourself some time, and don't come here. read more

Love this place. Kathy is amazing with nail dips. Since it just opened I would suggest getting an appointment because they get busy pretty quickly. Karrie at the front desk is very kind. Another post said they were turned away, I'm sure this has happened a bit since they are brand new. Easy to make appointment. They were friendly and clean, nothing special. It's right by neighborhood though so convinced

Sign on the door says "Walk-ins welcome." I walked in and a blunt blonde woman at the front desk asked if I had an appointment. When I said no, she looked in her appointment book and appeared frustrated. I said "oh do you not have time right now?" thinking I could come back later. She rolled her eyes and said "She told me I have to fit you in." At that point I told her never mind and left. Did not have a good experience. Did a pedi and mani with dip, both did not come out well. My dip looked uneven and without clean lines around the cuticles. along with being cut with the electric filer, it burned horribly when the hardening polish was put on. My polish on my pedicure was the same, no clean lines and apparently two of my toes were clipped to where they were inflamed the next day and for a couple days after. Will not go back. read more

I liked the layout and the ladies who were there were nice. I will go again and see what else can be done for me, since I just did a regular manicure and pedicure. I was a walk in appointment and understood that appointments would go before me. I was told a 20-25 minute wait, and I was good with that. What I'm not good with is when you tell another customer, who came in around 25 minute point that it would be a 30 minute wait and you get them before me, 10 minutes after my supposed start time. Then I'm told, as I was leaving to take my business elsewhere, they were an appointment, when I clearly heard them being told it was a 30 minute wait. WTH??? I COMPLETELY get appointments being first, tell me why my wait is getting longer. I will never go there or recommend them to anyone. There are cleaner, nicer, friendlier places just 10 minutes up the road. I was looking for convenience, but never again. Better, lesa expensive places are just as close. read more

Normally I drive to Southlake for my nails but since I had a graduation event I wanted to stay local. My appointment was for 11:30. While my pedicure was started and finished on time I had to wait to get my nails worked on. I did not get finished until 1:15. I would have gone to southlake if I knew my appointment time would not be honored. read more

I enjoyed my first visit to La Vie. This nail salon is out of the way for almost everyone who doesn't live in the adjoining neighborhood. Do I think it's worth a drive to visit, possibly, but don't do it for the pedicure. The customer service is what makes this salon a shining star. The mimosas were flowing on my initial visit here. Before I finished my first I was asked if I'd like another. Why yes, don't mind if I do. The massage chairs are brand new, like everything in the salon and they feel amazing. Otherwise, nothing about the salon or it's services are remarkable. The slightly upgraded pedicure was basic. The massage wasn't rushed, but it wasn't anything to write home about. My nails were not filed after they were cut, leaving jagged edges. Ultimately, I will likely visit again when I'd like a girls days with a friend who lives close to this salon. I'll come back for the cleanliness of the salon, the mimosas and the non-rushed atmosphere on a run of the mill Sunday. read more
