I have gone to this Salon for over 10 years. Pre Covid you got your hands massaged, your shoulders and arms massaged. They used to have a punch card. They used to offer water, plus their prices went up. No problem with price increases, it's to be expected. Getting a pedicure, they used to put hot towels on your legs. Now they wipe the sluffing lotion off, with a hot towel. Their services have gone downhill. I am in search of a new salon, until I can find one, I will still have to go here. I tip way above the expected, but have decided to cut back, just as they have. If you are new here, you'll never know how many services that they have cut. I'm assuming they will have to move at some point as the entire plot is being re developed. Sign me, still searching Fast forward, made appt yesterday so I could be first. I have been so exhausted by trying new salons and feeling like i was not being treated with intent. I have even went back to places that I wrote a review for being good and received extremely disappointing service. I went into this salon, La Vie Nails and came out super impressed because of the care that was taken, the attention to detail and the quality of my service was outstanding compared to all of the salons in the area. I wasn't just another job for someone who only worked for a paycheck. This lady cared and she took her time on the cleaning of my toes, and she talked to me like I was a friendly face and we got to know each other. She even realized that the shine on my top coat wasn't even and she redid it. Any other place would have let me walk out the door. She is honest, kind, and deserves recognition. Oooh girl! Let me tell you, I was so nervous... about finding a new nail salon to go to because the last one I went to for 2 years... the owner is so rude but I loved my nail tech so much. If you could see behind the scenes of me scattering all over Yelp to find the best reviews and accurate... I ended up booking an appointment to La Vie! For the whole week I'm not going to lie, I was so nervous. If you think I'm overreacting, you don't know my past nightmares of trying out different places... Anyways, today was the D-Day and I was nervous already but the one who sat me down looked like she was fumbling to find things and nervously she tells me, "oh it's my first day here" and I nervously giggled and said, "oh it's my first time here ....... too." And I'm just having a panic attack deep inside, thinking oh no... this is going to turn out so bad I might end up crying (has happened before). But if you are smart, you will notice that this is a 5 star review! So with that being said, I found out later that she's actually from a different location and she's here to fill in (insert big sigh of relief here)! She was great and open to suggestions (I'm very picky when it comes to shape and sharpness) and she was friendly! She offered a cuticle trimming at the end and clearly we can both see how badly I needed my cuticles trimmed haha. Just left about 5 mins ago and am so happy with my pedicure. I got the basic pedicure with gel polish because I love being able to walk out and not worry about my polish being dry. I didn't get the woman's name but she was very particular about ensuring my nails were perfect which I appreciated. I had my 2 boys with me and though I planned this trip around baby's nap time, he woke up as soon as I had walked in. They were so sweet with my baby and eldest and finished in a timely manner before baby could become impatient. When I had her go back and cut my nails shorter I didn't feel like she minded like some ppl. She was extremely accommodating to my requests and I left feeling pampered. I came back again to get my nails filled and I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for my 10am appointment. I had time, so it wasnt that big of a deal but I wished they kept to appointment time more. I would suggest making your nail appointment when you're not in a tight schedule as circumstances may change and you might need to wait a little. Though that was the only negative as my nail technician finished my fill quickly and was able to replicate my new design as I wanted. I mainly wanted to update my review to show the adaptations to the spa due to covid19. I was immensely impressed with their safety precautions during this pandemic. The employees still have masks, but there are now screens available between customers and the technicians. Being in phase 2 of covid19 does not mean it has gone away, so I really appreciate these efforts they made to keep everyone safer. read more

i want to preface this by clarifying that i have been loyal to this salon for 6 years now and have always given them a shining recommendation but this salon has drastically declined and they just aren't what they used to be. i brushed off a lot of small issues like my manicure being interrupted several times for personal calls causing it to take nearly two hours for a fill or my technician (the owner) being late to my appointment. but my last fill was the final straw for me. my tech suggested using a stronger material than the dip powder i typically get. i explained several times that im allergic to acrylic and didn't think it was a good idea to use something else because my allergy is so bad. she assured me it was fine and kept saying "i promise, i promise" that i won't have a reaction and that she won't get it on my skin. finally i agreed because she's the professional and i trusted her and now i am severely disappointed and in pain. my fingers are red and swollen and itchy and i have purple blisters under my nails. i called the salon SEVERAL times throughout 3 days explaining that i would like them to take the nails off and give me a refund and was told everytime that they would talk to joanna (who is the technician who did my nails that day and she is also the owner) and she would get back to me. 3 days later i had to pry my nails off at home because nobody has called. i feel like they didn't take my allergy seriously in the first place and didn't care to make it right after the fact, as long as they got paid. this salon does not care about your experience or satisfaction, only that they get paid. please take your money to a salon that will appreciate your business and listen to you. this place has no integrity and is takes dangerous short cuts that could affect your health. read more

I came here once right before COVID hit and my shellac nails seriously lasted 6 weeks until I had to get them off because they were grown out so far, but they never lifted or got worn down at all! She asked me who I was and what I needed done. Seriously?! I called way in advance. I explained that I had an appointment at 11:00am. She did not ask for my name and did not refer to any booking. The salon is SO disgusting. I asked Joanna if she would be sanitizing the pedicure station, which has visible dirt and markings that needed to be cleaned. She said she was busy doing someone else's nails, so she just rinsed my pedicure station and didn't wash it. I was appalled at how unsanitary this place is. Not Terrible but not great. They're on the lower end of the prices scale, and you get what you pay for. The salon feels lower end and they're a bit disorganized, but I think they're new. So it makes sense. I felt like I had a student working on my nails. She took quite a while, and was focused quite intensely. Some of my nails are crooked, some are uneven, and some sit wrong. I got the impression that one lady is the main skill, and the others are learning. This is my third time coming here are used to come here to get my nails done before I got busy with things and they were always able to exceeded my expectations and do well but when I stopped my friend started asking me where I was going and I do you know would say la Vie and then they will come in and they would tell me that they didn't do a good job, so I just recently came in today and I sit down and I'm sitting there and I'm ready to get my nails done and the girl who comes over and does my nails is very rough and she was very quick and almost seemed like she was in a rush, and I ended up bleeding a couple times from when she was filing, and then she had been shown a reference photo, and the designs are nothing like how I wanted, and it looks very sloppy and quickly done. I work at a coffee stand so I can't get super long nails and they definitely got the right length which I really appreciate. They only did great on the shape and making them all even. The more I think about my experience here, the less stars I want to give. Two of us came here for pedicures and we both asked for the Signature. Problem #1: No consistency between the two pedicures. We were sitting side by side and the quality difference was very obvious. Problem #2: When the person working on my feet was scrubbing them, she hardly did anything to the calloused parts, but she did manage to scrape the side of my heel where the soft tissue is. Two weeks later and it's almost healed. Problem #3: The nail polish application was very sloppy. She put it on and left. When I looked at her work I noticed that the skin on my toes was covered in polish. I waited to see if the woman would return. She did not, so I tried to fix it myself unsuccessfully. The lady that was working beside me saw what I was doing and helped me out. Not the relaxing experience I was hoping for. read more

Consistency is key! I'm always always happy with the nails I leave with here. I've tried their dip & acrylic both with gel polish. They have a good selection and their suggestions are on point! They are extremely reasonable with pricing too. I appreciate each and every one of the professionals that work here, it doesn't matter who does your nails, they are spectacular every time. Joanna never fails me. She is so nice and sweet to me and always squeezes me in even if she's busy. I haven't gone there in forever since I moved out of state but I felt she deserved a great review for always treating me so well.
