    Coffee station

You know when you need a cafe con Leche, not a coffee light and sweet? Like really need it? This is the place to go in the area. I've walked by the place many times but have never had the struggles of being cold, sore and tired from slipping/sliding down the sidewalk. So I gave it a go. The employees are really friendly, some have limited English but with make sure you are well taken care of (gotta pretend you don't speak Spanish for a genuine experience ). 2.25 for it is about the going rate in most bakeries and it was just that in this Columbian gem. I saw there was a full menu and 3 pastry cases. I will be back. Thank you ladies

My go-to Colombian bakery!!! I would recommend to anyone who's in the area to try something. Not inly do they have small snacks like empanadas, they also offer sweats, sandwiches & entrees for lunch/breakfast. My favorite combo is #5 rice & beans, steak, eggs, arepa or bread on the side w coffee! It always hits the spot and you can eat it there or take it to-go. You can also call for pick up and if there is something wrong with your order, the staff deals with it right away. On top of the counters they also have colombian goodies for sale (candy, hot chocolate bars, coffee beans, etc)

The arepa simple no taste at all ended up throwing away the " chicharrón " only decent part was the calentado For the price

Ordered calentado with chicharrón, the rice and beans are good for the price but I didn't expect to get pure fat as chicharrón very disappointed Ordered off Grubhub , they market with very deceiving photos

I ordered deep fried fish and French fries. Fish and French dries are good. Nothing special but it was good. Food was good but I think it's a little bit expensive for the food

    Delicious sauce!!

Went here about 3 times past month. Usually I get the empanadas de Carne. I got the chicken sandwich twice as well. The empanadas with the sauce is very good. Small empanadas however the salsa is so tasty. Mmmmm lol The second time today I got the sandwich wasn't as good as the first. The prices are fair. Good small spot for a quick bite to eat.

    Chicken soup

First walked in and I thought it was wayyy smaller than I thought the cashier immediately attended me and asked what I'd like. I asked what soup they had today and she said chicken soup. I sat for about 5 mins and it was ready I also got a piece of bread to go with my soup also had to get the hot sauce! OMG this soup was wayyyy better than I thought ( I had low expectations) i dumped one hot sauce in it and couldn't put it down even though it was piping hot. The service was good I paid 10 dollars for the soup bread and a water. Definitely going to be my new go to spot for soup since I'm new to this area oh and the pic is half eaten there's carrots shredded chicken a potato in it.

    Roach in chicken soup

I have been loving and frequenting this place for a couple years now and recommend it to everyone for coffee, bread, lunch platters, hot bar-you name it. It reminds me of home and I've always had a good experience here, but on Monday I went in for two small orders of chicken soup (which I get pretty often) and was horrified to find a whole roach at the bottom. Me and my boyfriend who also drank the soup have been sick all day now (the day after) with stomach issues and I just am so heartbroken. I won't be returning and it really hurts my spirit to have been disappointed by a place that I loved going to.

This for $6... is that a joke? A tiny flavorless arepa, oily flavorless fries, and some eggs.

Bad food, messed up the order, over priced for what we got... was really excited to try this place but we are definitely not coming back. The Colombian bakeries in woodside are a thousand times better, especially their arepas!

The decor is fun and pays homage to Colombian culture which I appreciated. Their specials menu had an Iced Banana Latte which is totally up my alley so I decided to try it. I usually get a latte with a syrup and I assumed this was exactly that - a banana syrup. Unfortunately, it was more like a frappe where the espresso, banana, and milk was blended together. I think it's misleading to call it a latte as it wasn't what I was expecting. And for ~$9, I just expected more richness from the espresso but the milk was just overpowering. Even based on the appearance, it was very milky/foamy rather than coffee or banana-forward. If I find myself back here, I'll probably go for their classic coffees instead.

The only…read morereason I return is because it's my grandmother's preferred restaurant since she lives nearby. We arrived around 6:20-6:30 p.m. There were plenty of open tables, but we weren't seated until much later. During that time, the male waiter seemed more concerned with other tasks. He was seating a woman whose party of six hadn't yet arrived, going back and forth to the kitchen, handing out receipts, and collecting menus. After all of that, he finally approached us--not to seat us--but to ask, "How long are you going to take?" I replied, "Sir, we're here to eat." He responded that the side tables were for people watching the game. I explained that we were there to dine, as this is a restaurant. Even after we were seated, he avoided our table completely. He took the order of a table that had been seated after us while we continued waiting. About 20 minutes later, a female waitress noticed we had not been helped and took over our table. She was attentive, professional, and the only reason we received service. After placing our order, we waited about an hour for our entrées. The food was also underwhelming. The Papa a la Huancaína came with an excessive amount of sauce and very few potatoes. The Ceviche Mixto lacked the bright citrus flavor that ceviche should have. My grandmother, who is very familiar with Peruvian cuisine, found it bland, and even after taking it home we couldn't improve it. The Bistec Encebollado was slightly too salty for our taste. The beans simply weren't to my liking, though that's a matter of personal preference. Another issue is the dining room layout. The seating is extremely tight, to the point where it feels like you're almost elbow-to-elbow with the tables next to you, making the experience feel cramped. Overall, this visit was disappointing. Between the slow and inattentive service, the long wait for food, the cramped seating, and several disappointing dishes, the experience did not justify the visit. The female waitress deserves recognition for stepping in when we had been overlooked, but unfortunately she couldn't make up for the rest of the experience.
