Owner is very nice, as is his wife. When they are both there and he is cooking, it is excellent. His staff, well, they are pathetic. They look like they fell off a truck with the sloppy and not uniform clothing. Service is terrible. Food is excellent..especially when they get the order correct. I suggested shutting down for a month...firing 99% of his servers and start from scratch; with specific duties and expectations. He's so very nice and not a very good manager. Sad. read more

I am now seeing the feedback from the restaurant. 1. Pho is traditionally served with scallions. This is a must in your soup. Ask someone how to cook your food? Idk about you but that's crazy. Meet should be tossed with it. The flavors compliment each other well when it's done the right way. To me this restaurant wanted to do things the lazy way. I already had to ask for A LOT just basic things.. like the plate that comes with the basil, jalapeño, limes, bean sprouts for the pho. A customer shouldn't have to ask to have things done right. It's like asking my husband how to clean the bathroom appropriately. At some point me having to ask for everything becomes a chore. And being a server in ther serving industry but when a customer keeps asking for a lot they stop checking on your table, forget the water refills, and overall is annoyed with the customer that they avoid them. OH WAIT THAT DID HAPPEN! Let's take some self accountability and try to improve with the little tips I did provide. Wow! I have to say this is one of the most honorable restaurants I've had the pleasure eating at. I initially ordered my food through Uber eats, which I received a fairly small portion of. Gilbert the owner saw my review and I think responded the same day offering to remake my food. Not only did he do that but he paid for my whole family's meal the next time we came in. He said he cares more about taking care of his customers and maintaining a good reputation than making a few bucks. I have rarely ever come across that kind of hospitality. Our food was delicious! And filled my belly!! I will definitely be a returning customer. I'm glad to have a restaurant like this one here in Bastrop. read more

This spot sort of stands out from the rest of the Bastrop's restaurants with its modern twist. Great authentic Vietnamese food with its unforgettable staples like the Bahn Mi and Pho! If you're a hot chili fanatic like me ask for their chili in oil, very tasty and has a great kick! The same goes for the rest of their sauces, very delicious. I got the chicken Bahn mi the pork spring rolls and a mango boba tea. The Bahn mi had soggy bread and poorly seasoned, meat the spring rolls were practically falling apart and had wilting greens inside of them would certainly not recommend. Finally the mango boba tea was way too sweat and did not have Tapioca pearls but instead some odd gelatinous fruit pearls inside.
