This is an incredible service for anyone who is sick, homebound, or simply unable to get what they need done at a lab. In my case, the lab actually wouldn't do the bloodwork I needed to donate a kidney, so having someone come to me made the whole process possible. Charity was professional, very communicative, and incredibly gentle and kind during the draw. She made me feel at ease and took care of everything (she came to my house, drew my blood and even took my bloodwork to FedEx for dropoff) I plan on using her services in the future not only for myself, but also for my kids. The person who I spoke with, Bernadeth, explained the blood draw procedure and told me she would be at my house at 8 AM the following day The following day I received a text from Bernadeth telling me that she was on her way. Bernadeth arrived at my house a little early and messaged me if it was OK to do the blood draw now. I told her it was fine. I opened the door and was met by Bernadeth who was dressed appropriately and in fresh scrubs. Bernadeth presented me with her business card and politely asked if she could come in. She entered my house and asked me if there was a place I felt comfortable for the blood draw. I directed her to my kitchen. Bernadeth was very professional, put on rubber gloves, laid out a sterile pad on my kitchen table, and explained the procedure to me. Bernadeth found a vein she liked and carefully cleansed the area where the needle was to enter my vein. Bernadeth's skill in placement of the needle was fantastic and I didn't even feel the poke nor any pain at all! After the draw, Bernadeth placed the needle in a sharps container, gathered all the equipment she had used for the blood draw, and put them into a plastic bag. Bernadeth explained the procedure for the results, thanked me, and left my house. I would like to pass on that the level of professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and sanitation and safety practices were greater than I expected. The in-home service was so convenient for me and the cost was extremely fair compared to if I had to travel to a clinic for a blood draw. This company is a complete joke. Our son has significant difficulty with blood draws, so we…read morespecifically requested their most experienced phlebotomist. When she arrived, she struggled for a long time to find a vein. After inserting the needle, she failed to secure it with tape or even stabilize it with her hand. Each time she attached a collection tube, the needle and tubing moved, causing our son extreme pain. He became terrified--crying and screaming throughout the process. When we asked her to remove the needle, she took an unusually long time to do so and then forgot to place gauze on his arm afterward. When I asked why she hadn't used tape to secure the needle, she said they "didn't provide her with tape" and that "some people might be allergic." This explanation was completely unacceptable. I've had countless blood draws at many clinics and have never seen a phlebotomist fail to secure a needle. Our son was visibly shaken for the rest of the day, and the entire experience was traumatic for our family. My husband even wanted to cancel the remaining tests. Today even a month after the incident, our son still has needle-related trauma and was unable to complete a blood draw with his regular phlebotomist--someone he previously trusted and loved. Avoid this company, especially if you have children.

But a week later, I get a mysterious text from ExamOne telling me to schedule my exam. I called ExamOne and, at first, they seemed to have no idea what was going on. I was then told that there was a "problem" with my blood tests results and they would have to be retaken. I demanded to know why. I couldn't get a straight answer but was finally put on hold so the associate could "investigate". When she came back, I was told there was a "discrepancy". I asked what that meant but could get anything that resembled an answer that made sense. I told them that I was done with this BS. I found out later that they had lost the either the blood samples or the test results and had lied to me to cover up their incompetence.

Dr. Asandra is the most caring Doctor I have come across. My 82 year old father was scheduled for a…read morekidney biopsy with Dr. Asandra and she called me that morning after reviewing his records and re-scheduled the biopsy for a time when she could biopsy and treat the tumor at the same time. So essentially, the biopsy was safer because she froze the needle tract and tumor at the same time, so there was less chance of the tumor spreading from the hole created by the biopsy. It saved my dad an open surgery where they would cut out half of his kidney. It was the more minimally invasive way to do it. Not all doctors know about this new treatment that requires only a few 5 mm incisions rather than a big open surgery. That could be why it wasn't recommended to begin with. It's more commonly done at academic centers where they are very current with medical advances. It's very common where Dr. Asandra trained at Stanford and still teaches occasionally. This type of treatment may require more than one freeze (kind of like a wart may require more than one freeze). But it's better than a big open surgery! I can't thank her enough because the other way could have made the cancer spread. She thoroughly explained everything, gave me her email address, and made herself available to me in case I had questions or concerns and always replied right away. My father has had a follow up CT scan and everything looks good. She is amazing, well educated, and has high grades on healthgrades.com. I just wish she could be my father's Primary Care Doctor. She is an angel. Healthgrades.com lists her locations as does the johnmuirhealth.com website. With a little searching, you can find her. TWO YEAR FOLLOW UP: My dads tumor appears to be dead. He gets an ultrasound or CT every six months and it has not changed. Dr. Asandra takes the time to go there and review the reports even though she isn't his doctor, then she emails me. Who does that?
