I have been here twice for my kids for blood work. The first time with my son, it was disorganized and the workers were unprofessional. We decided to return with my daughter a couple of years later because scheduling at the hospital is difficult. Our recent experience today makes me think they need their license pulled to operate in Arlington. Not only are the people rude, they don't know what they are doing. They had to stick my daughter with a need four times unsuccessfully. After the last time, they said "we might need a smaller needle." We left immediately. The place is dangerous! read more

Remember the waiting room in Beetlejuice? I would like to go there instead. I arrived for a glucose tolerance test that requires one hour from the time you drink the sugar syrup until they draw your blood. I made an appointment online and went to sign in as soon as I arrived. I was made to sign in while a guy was processing his paperwork at the same window with the one receptionist/blood technician/queen of nasty at the window. I checked the list after a while and saw there were two more people ahead of me. After 40 minutes of waiting, I got back in line to try to at LEAST check in with my insurance and ID. That's when I saw a little sign to the left of the register on pale blue paper saying to "tell us" if you're here for the glucose test. Eventually I got to drink the nasty Kool Aid and sit for another hour. (Ca-ching! $8 in parking garage.) The receptionist was also the technician. She'd been obnoxious to me so I tried to just get through the blood draw without a fight. With one person handling check-ins, everyone's paperwork, getting appointments back, and doing blood draws, it's a nightmare when a clueless patient goes up to the window and can't imagine why she'd want their insurance card, etc. And there is no attempt to see you at your appointment time. Be prepared to rub elbows with the elite DMV crowd. A mother with five children allowed them all to run wild and the baby to cry pretty uncontrollably. Another mother of four's children climbed all over the furniture. A smoke-drenched woman came and sat next to me and I was pretty sure between the sugar syrup and the smoke smell I was not going to make it out alive. read more

This location is a bit difficult to find if you've never been here before. It's in the bottom floor of the Inova building, and has no street sign. There are very few parking spaces out front, but there is a garage around the corner. Once you're inside, the waiting room is cleaner than other locations I've been to, and the staff is really good. You can never really trust reviews which is why I don't rely too heavily on them. This was the closest labcorp to my house so I was going to go here anyways. The staff was all really friendly. I don't like how you have to check in at the kiosk though. That's kinda ridiculous, but it's probably more efficient in the long run. When I get taken back to get my blood drawn, I told the lady my veins roll. There's a reason I tell people this. She said okay and looked for a vein. She thought she found one so she got her needle and stabbed me in the arm. Literally stabbed it in there. I don't mind getting shots or blood drawn, but holy f this hurt. No blood came out. Imagine that. So she continued to move the needle around in my arm for a bit and I'm just sitting there in pain. Finally she said she was going to get someone who knew how to do it. Someone who knew how to do it. Let that sink in. So this other lady comes. They're both super nice. It's not their fault I have difficult veins. So this lady, instead of just stabbing me blindly with a needle, took her time. She ended up having to take it out of my hand and, with some work, was able to get enough blood out. My arm hurt for a good hour afterwards. I gave three stars because the people are really nice and, again, it's not their fault my veins are difficult but you shouldn't just stab people in the arm if you do t actually have a vein. Will NEVER come here again. After reading the ratings about the wait time, I wanted to make sure to show up at 8am so I wouldn't have to wait over an hour. I showed up at 8:08am, mainly because I had to find the parking garage. Walk in, there's already about 7-10 people in front of me. It surely was 45 minutes before I could be seen. Just got routine blood work. As the lady was taking my blood, she places the naked cotton swab (what is going to be placed on the wound after the needle is finished) on the bare chair that I was sitting in. I can't imagine how many HIV patients have sat here; and here you go, my wound is now exposed to the lab chair i was sitting in. I couldn't believe my eyes how unprofessional and risky that was. Will never come here again, and will advise everybody I know to stay away. Had to pay the parking garage 7 bucks, because I was over an hour. 1 hour ten minutes. Took my daughter this morning when the office opened and we were in and out in 30 minutes. We checked in at the ipad without problems. The staff were quick, kind, professional, and patient. They were obviously handling several tasks, checking patients in and drawing blood. I can't say the same thing about the other clients, in particular one older man who wasn't wearing a mask, didn't check-in, cut in line, and demanded accommodations. I came here after the duke street location was stock full with people waiting. I expected this location would be a little less crowded on a Saturday morning and I was right. When I got there was only one person waiting. Cool! I thought I would be in and out in 30 mins or less. There was no one at the front desk for a good 10 minutes, even though I heard staff talking. Another person signed in, and stood by the receptionist window. She practically yelled at him to sit down without even coming to the window When she finally did come, she was very rude to the guy waiting. At this point 3 people were in the office waiting, myself included. She didn't acknowledge me, or ask me for my insurance, paperwork etc and disappeared to the back office. Based on the poor attitude and lack of respect by the receptionist I left. Take heed to the other reviews, and go another lab corp location. read more

This place seems to have a bad rep, but my experience wasn't bad at all! The website says to make an appointment after lunch because that's when it isn't busy (unless if you have to fast for a blood test and you don't want to fast until lunch time). I parked at the meters next to the building (much cheaper than garage parking). My appointment was at 1:45pm. I got in at 1:25pm and was out by 1:40! The lady at the front wasn't mean or rude. She wasn't a ball of sunshine, but she wasn't mean at all. The lab tech kindly told me what to do, I did my thing, and then she sent me on my merry way. Maybe I went on a good day? I don't know. I had a GREAT experience at LabCorp. The women working there were very professional. I got there exactly at 9:15 and was out of the door by 9:30. I was greeted immediately upon checking-in and the check-in process was seamless. Just needed your id and insurance card. Because of the reviews on here I was so nervous to get my blood drawn but the woman was so professional, knew exactly what she was doing and I barely felt a thing. They could not have been kinder. I was not asked to write this review but don't want people to be deterred from coming here. Make your own judgement and decision. read more

***WARNING*** DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION if you care about your health or wellbeing. The two employees here (Robin and Noelle) are incompetent and rude. Their supervisor, Rhonda Holland, is unresponsive and uncaring. I had tests run incorrectly, was given wrong instructions, and was treated extremely poorly. I had a bad reaction after a blood draw, and no one checked in on me even once. Instead they just let me sit there for 15 minutes until I was able to get up on my own. It was so bad, that my doctors office told me to take my drop off items and leave - while I was in the lobby. I would bet money on HIPPA and ADA violations, at the least. The negative reviews seem very out of place. My experience there was great, I mean as great as a urine test can be. It was clean, not crowded, and used new tech. Upon walk-in, you use your eyes and read the professional signage that directs you to check-in at the kiosk. Follow the on screen instructions, tap your card, enter your birthday, blah blah blah. After a few mins, very pleasant staff confirmed the docs and the ID that I submitted at the kiosk. I sat and watched a little Pawn Stars on three TV in the spacious lounge for maybe 5 mins. Then a polite young lady walked me to the back, and I did my thing. Street parking was $2 with Park Mobile. Piece of cake. read more

Took my 85 year old mother to get a blood test ordered by her doctor today. She's in poor health and needs a walker and is in constant back pain. The office was understaffed. We signed in at 9:20 AM. We were checked in over an hour later. It was another 30 minutes before we were told that the order her doctor had faxed us was not the correct form and they refused to do the test. We wasted $20 on taxi fare, 90 minutes of my time, and my mother was in pain and the whole time, and the staff refused to make any accommodation for her. I am appalled and extremely angry by the lack of good service, let alone empathy for a clearly unwell and uncomfortable elderly patient. The entire experience was totally unacceptable on every level. read more

I went for a yearly physical exam. The doctor ordered some lab tests that, she said, were covered by my insurance. Just routine. However, a month later I received a bill for almost $600!!!. Now, the business manager claims otherwise-- that they do not have any way to know what tests will be covered by your insurance and how much you will have to pay. They tell you to talk to LabCorp, their partners who will do the test. LabCorp claims that they just simply do the tests prescribed by the doctor. If you look up online, you will see that a class-action lawsuit claims LabCorp overcharges for tests. You see the dynamics, right? No one is responsible for a hefty bill except yourself at the end of the day-- except yourself. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. First of all I hate Arlington because apparently no one believes in parking lots around here so you have to pay to park in their garage. Receptionist was rude, treated me like an idiot for not knowing that I needed to sign in...I walked up to the desk and she never looked up from her computer. Some of their tests don't begin until after 9 but when 9 rolled around no one seemed to have been called. They're VERY testy, snappy and short with people. Just try and be extra nice and you'll eventually soften them up. I only managed to get the lady to soften up towards the end so maybe it was only because she was glad to be down another person. Don't park in the parking deck unless you know you'll be there for over a few hours. Just park on the road (meters) next to the cafe in the building. It's $1/hr from what I remember. Really they need help on that place, they can't find the vine and they are not professional at all. They put the needle twice in my child arms (15 months old) and after that she said (she can't get blood) if you know you can't do it, don't try do hurt a baby and you know your ability is nothing. After that she called another person to do it for her. That was the third person want to try with my baby. Babies are human too, they are not a doll just to make trying on them. These people (Cherelle and Robin) are not professional at their job. This is the 4th day of the day we went to that place and my baby still have a big bruise in his arm with very blue color. Only go if you have lots of time or an appointment. I went in for a pre-employment drug screen, something that has been a very quick experience for me at other labs in the past. I tried to make an appointment online, but the site kept giving me an error message and upon calling I was told that I needed to make the appointment online or just come in for a walk in. They were very short with me on the phone and would say what type of wait to expect. I needed the screen soon so I decided to take my chances and went in around 10am on a Tuesday. I can say that the people who came in with appointments appeared to get in and out within 30 minutes, but for the rest of us (it was not overly crowded mind you) we were there for well over 2 2 1/2 hours each. I'm not even sure why, once people went back (only one tech doing the actual appointments) people came back out within 5 minutes, but the checking in, sitting, registering, sitting to actually being called back took so so long. The tech was nice and efficient enough which I appreciated at that point, but the lady at the front was very short and would not answer any questions. Not how many people in front of you, estimated wait time, anything. Long story short, go early if you don't have an appointment and only go otherwise if you don't mind waiting hours or can somehow make an appointment online ahead of time. read more

I went here after reading all of the reviews. So, I expected a horrible experience. But everything went wonderfully. I arrived at 1:32PM for my 1:45PM appointment. Tosha was working the desk and checked me in right away. By 1:41PM, she was drawing my blood. She was very pleasant with me. She hit my vein on the first try and was very quick. I needed routine lab work done and decided to do a walk-in appointment on my way to work. When I walked into the lobby there were about 15 or so customers waiting, but I figured I'd be seen within a half hour or hour at the max. This has to be the WORST lab I've ever been too! The service was beyond slow and I soon found out that there was only one person doing intake and the lab work! I tried to remain patient, but even not having a appointment...this was ridiculous! I waited for nearly 3 hours! I would've left, but I needed to have my lab work complete. I had intended to take care of this and head into work, but I ended up having to take a full day of leave. When I finally saw the tech, it was quick but unusually painful. About 15 minutes after leaving the lab, I felt pain at the draw site and removed the bandage to find a lump near my vein. I called a relative who's a phlebotomist, and she informed me that the tech had actual stuck the needle in the tissue surrounding the vein! Needless to say, I was angry! In the following days, I developed a bruise (see pic) at the site. My experience at this Labcorp was horrendous! I would never recommend this location. After an HR wait in waiting room I couldn't hold my pee anymore so they sent me back to pee and the left me back there and forgot about me. 5 other people stormed out in the mean time.
