The one word I have to describe this office is chaos. Too many people. Too small of an office space. Not enough chairs. Patrons watching videos with loud volume on their phones and others enjoying speakerphone or FaceTime calls in the waiting area. Is there a secondary waiting area? Yes. Did any of the staff let anyone know about that waiting area? No. Are there any large signs in the waiting area letting people know about that secondary waiting area? No. Was staff walking over to the secondary waiting area to see if anyone was there when they didn't respond to their name being called by the front office or the phlebotomist? No. So is there practical use to that secondary waiting area? No. Not at all. Automated check in which is nice if you are young and can manage technology, unfortunately most of the patrons are elderly and/or have some level of disability. Even though individuals can select their language when they check in this apparently is also confusing. The front office staff yell back and forth which is terrible in a small office space. When I have come to accompany my parents, I always end up helping others check in also. They first try to ask the staff for help but unfortunately are ignored then look around and ask me (or anyone) for help. Even then, staff simply just ignores their patrons. Really this is a horrible environment for a medical office. And the security officer Michael is completely unhelpful and unuseful. The best way to come for blood work is to have an appt. If you have an appt they try to keep on time. If you walk in, vaya con dios mi amigo. Even at 8:30am the walk in wait is projected to be 2 - 3 hours long. Now can you understand why the waiting area is jam packed with no place to sit or stand? The one time I actually came for myself was a mess. This ended up with both my arms used as pin cushions and the end result was using both hands (because they couldn't get the poke on either arm or one hand). This was after I informed them they would need to used a butterfly. I guess they don't believe me despite the fact that at my age I know my veins and I know what works for me. After all the failed pokes and having to sit there with warm compresses on both arms and hands and having to pull in a second phlebotomist they finally used a butterfly and got it. Too bad they didn't listen to me when I first got there but maybe they get some joy from poking and digging uselessly into people's arms and hands. Needless to say I hate this place. This location is the worst. I would have given them negative 5 stars if that was allowed. There are other labor locations and I would recommend trying them unless you have no choice. Or better yet, if your insurance allows, go to Quest. read more

Came here early in the morning without an appointment and was seen within 20 minutes. I'm sure it gets busy as the day progresses so I highly recommend that you make an appointment. Check-in is easy with a kiosk. If it's hard, the very friendly staff will help. Talk about service with a smile! Plenty of parking. Part 2 of my complaint yesterday. Based on my complaint to supervisor Andrew. Was pleasantly surprised I received a call back from Andrew as I made this complaint on their QR code posted on the wall. He was sweet as can be and explained the challenges. I thanked him for taking action and talking to his team right away...it was the right thing to do! They did a software upgrade which caused the check in kiosk outage on Tuesday. He should have been called by his team but guess they decided to go it alone and I mentioned that the old people cannot get their walkers between the chairs, ect ect and pleaded that they not treat my elderly parents this way. Im 50 and speaking up on their behalf. He said he is working on it. Plain and simple...lab Corp does not fit in the space the Magan building gave them. Labcore needs to open a second site near by or just move. The basement at Magan is not where its at! Despite my complaint. QUEST is just as bad. :( Its a shame. I tried but im sure his hands are tied. PS to all labs...when we are told to "fast" we go berserk even when we had dinner the night before....haha. . Im laughing now, but was not Tuesday. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to visit a medical facility run by people who treat punctuality like a myth and elderly patients like an inconvenience, look no further than this LabCorp! My 93-year-old mother arrived 10 minutes early this morning for her 8:15 AM appointment. Early. With timestamped proof. But the front desk staff confidently, and incorrectly, declared she was "extremely late." Bold move, considering their computers apparently exist purely for decoration. When we tried to show them the evidence, they gave the universal "I don't get paid enough for this" eye roll and refused to even look. Facts? Evidence? Reality? Absolutely not. Not on their watch. Then, because nothing says "we messed up" like doubling down on arrogance, they made her wait 1 hour and 15 minutes as punishment for their mistake. A 93-year-old. Sitting. Waiting. Because staff couldn't be bothered to admit they were wrong. If you enjoy chaos, incorrect accusations, and customer service so bad it could be used in training videos labeled "Never Do This," this is your place. If not, consider literally any other LabCorp, or honestly, a dartboard and a home blood draw kit might be more accurate. read more

I remember Labcorp used to be located in a medical building on Sunset Ave. in West Covina, but it has since closed down and so I was surprised when I made an appointment for this Labcorp location. With my insurance changing contracts with labs from Quest Diagnostics to Labcorp, it sure was a very different experience with my first visit here. This labcorp is located in a Optum building, with plenty of parking but it was also a Saturday, so I am unsure of how parking can be on a weekday. When I arrived, there was already 1 very long line. I asked the person at the end of the line, and he mentioned that the line was for "walk-ins" so I walked to the front to mention to the employee that I had an appointment. After she marked my name off of her checklist, she had me wait in another line, which was opposite of the "walk-in" line. Since it was the first time I was there, it was interesting to navigate the building to the lab. After a few minutes, the employee called me to head to the lab, which was either through the elevator (or stairs) to the basement, and then to the left. The "small" room was overflowing to another waiting room, but I was able to check-in through the tablets on the side. As we were all waiting to be called, it was a bit hard to hear one's name being called while waiting in the overflow room, but there really was not much room to stand in the narrow hallway either. Once the employees call your name, they scan your ID, your insurance card, and get your lab order from you. After they process all the paperwork, then one gets called in (after a few more minutes of waiting) to get their labs done. From arriving early for my appointment, to finishing my labs, I was there for almost 45 mins to an hour, which was not what I was expecting. If you are fasting, like I was, I would suggest scheduling an even earlier appointment... to build in the waiting (and processing) time of at least 30+ minutes, even before labs are actually drawn. Drawing labs is quick, it's the process before it that takes the most time. The phlebotomist was quick and efficient and boy were they bu-syyyyy. They close earlier on Saturdays (than weekdays) but they have to finish all the patients before they can leave. As I was leaving, there were still people standing in the "walk-in" line. read more

But she came at me really loud for everyone to hear. When I asked if she can please just let one more in, she said their computers were down. So what was it ??? Computers down? Ive taken my Dad here a couple of times for bloodwork. It gets crowded FAST! so arrive at least 15 min before 7 am when it opens. You have to check in at a computer kiosk to fill out info, so it could be complicated for elderly patients. After check in, my Dad was #5 in line and was called in within 10 min. So, again, get here early or you are in for a long wait! read more

My husband and I recently went to the Covina location on a Saturday for our annual physical bloodwork. We attempted to schedule an appointment but there was no availability throughout the inland empire area for over 2 weeks so we had to do a walk-in appointment. On Saturdays this location opens at 8am. We arrived at 7:40am and there was already a long line outside. They are very organized and have a worker who lets so many people in at a time to register and wait your turn for blood work. The location is located in the Optum building technically in the lower level basement, however they have made it somewhat pleasant. Customer service was decent and total wait time starting at 8am when they open was 1.5 hours without an appointment, we were out by 9:33am.The place looks somewhat clean. They unfortunately do not answer their phone or return calls at this location. I would recommend this place if you have to go right away without an appointment on a Saturday. read more

Over time Labcorp Covina on Rowland has demonstrated consistently incompetent service. Today the computers were down forever and we finally left and had to reschedule our doctor appointments since labs wouldn't be available. Their tech problems have happened previously as well. On various visits employees spent more time chatting among themselves than servicing patients. The security guard for Optum comes and eats his catfish meal while visiting excessively with the staff. There is a disregard of decorum, lack of respect of patients, and obvious unprofessionalism. In our 80's both with cancer we simply cannot use this site again. It's like a circus. read more

Was sent away when told that their system is down. I was able to log in to Labcorp patient portal and show them the detail order with order codes from THEIR system. Don't understand why they can't transfer the details to their own Labcorp form when they said they can only help patient with the paper form or help those who can email them the lab order in PDF. Have no idea how their system is run and it definitely needed to be changed. People waited weeks to get appointments and waited hours for walk-in and most test needed to be fasting. America couldn't be great again if corporations are running like that! read more

Waited 3.5 hours for a lab work. Waited 1.5 hrs to be put on the rack, another 1.5 to be called for the actual lab. They told me it was an estimated 1 hr to be called. The staff is very rude when you ask them what the hold up is, with "i dont know" as an answer for most of your questions. Right when I walked in, he asked me "are you jack?" I told him no & he seemed disappointed & did not want to take the papers from my hand. So I placed the papers on the desk & he immediately got upset. I was so confused. I do not recommend this place. The desk check-in person veryified my appointment and presence and then forgot about me. After an hour sitting, watching others get their testing I went up and confirmed it - they wrongly filed me under "walk-ins" which apparently only get tested when they get bored testing everybody else. So I sat in the test room for 15 minutes waiting for the tech. He was effiecient, but I had to give a urine test. Then I waited another 15 minutes while some woman dilly-dallied in the bathroom. The next day I got an email offering to let me see the results, but I could NOT log on to their web site. I tried over and over. No luck. A week later I had a follow up doctor's appointment and he did NOT have the test results! They LOST the vial of my blood! So now I have to do it all over again. Avoid this place at all costs! They spend more time talking about where to sit patients to wait then actually doing their phlebotomy job! It's took 3 people to sit patients in their waiting room and 10 mins to figure out who the next group of patients are! I don't know what system they're using but it SUCKS! Line of people outside waiting! There business hours are horrible! People work for a living and no one is off work before 2pm during the week except for the people who "assign seating" at Lab Corp apparently! If those 3 women weren't so worried about where to sit patients they could actually do their job and draw patients blood and send them on their way. The worst lab corp ive ever been to. Dont schedule an appointment to this place. They prioritize walk-ins more. My appointment is at 10:45 am and was not called until almost 11:30 am because they accommodated the walk ins before me. Ironically when I got here an hour before my appointment they told me they can't accommodate me 5 min before my appointment time. But the waiting area is still the same and on a first come first serve basis because they let 5 people in at a time before taking you to the basement where you can check in. Just thinking that if I got here 5 min before my appointment time, may wait time could be 2 hours despite having an appointment. Also they dont care of youre fasting cos again walk ins are more important. read more

I made an appointment on 9/16/20 for my glucose tolerance test for pregnancy plus a couple additional labs. I thought the staff was friendly and they did the best they could moving patients through despite having a limited capacity in their tiny waiting room. Due to Covid - they have updated hours for appointments and walk ins (see picture). Also - their check in feature online where you can check in and wait wherever you want like in your car is not working. Best to go to them directly and check in to avoid delays. I usually go to the San Dimas LabCorp for my intermittent lab needs, but good to know I can come to this location in the future if needed as well! This location has plenty of free parking. The lab is located downstairs, but go through the main front entrance first. read more

There are plenty locations but this one in particular I like because it's located in Magan Medical Clinic. After going there two or three times now, I have done a walk in and the other two set appointments. I would highly recommend the set appointments, because set appointments usually have little to no wait time. When you arrive you just have to check in with your insurance card and information on their machine. Depends on the receptionist, they will help you or not depends how busy it is. Every time I been there they are very busy. Just so you know they have a very small room. When your name is called, it's a wonderful and quick in and out. For regular blood test, you pee in a cup and get your blood drawn. The phlebotomists are usually friendly, just be nice to them and they will be nice to you. One last thing, this location is on the LL (lower level) down the escalators you make a left and a right down the hall, it on the right hand side. read more

It has gotten worse the last few visits.. @Labcorp It's simple, We're just here to do routine blood work for my dad.. do your job and don't make our visit frustrating and complicated just because.. Also.. let people know that they have to use those worthless self check-in stations that way we're not waiting to be called.. Side note.. once you wait for ever to get in the actual nurses doing the lad work are good, Haven't had an issue they get 4stars. It's the entering the building nonsense that's freaking annoying they get -5 stars.. Never coming to this lab ever again. What a complete joke. First "sign in" was outside, not even through their system just a lady highlighting your name on the list. Even if you have an appointment you were made to stand outside in the heat with no chairs till they let you go down to the lab. All while the waiting room on the first floor was empty and air conditioned. I came 15 minutes early and they allowed in 3 walk ins 10 minutes before my appointment time. 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time they allowed in one appointment (myself) and another walk in. And then once you're inside you have to sign in through their system. And remember that labcorp sends you an email saying if you're 15 minutes late they cancel your appointment. So coming here was a close call since I was made to be late signing in through their system. And ontop of that I've been waiting for my appointment for 3 weeks (I made the appointment back on June 12th) because all their appointments in the locations closer to my house were booked up until late July at the time. Two starts only because the lady drawing my blood was nice. Otherwise it would be one star. read more

This LabCorp sucks!! Several times I have scheduled online only to show up and they are closed. For example, several of us people had appointments on November 24, 2023, the day after Thanksgiving, we waited and waited early in the morning, only to find out they were closed and we were all there for nothing!! Then why did they allow us tp schedule online?? Another time I went, had my scheduled appointment and their systems were down, and they had a long line of people and were sending them inside to wait and sit on chairs. Obviously they did not knowing what they were doing, I was included with those that had no appointments!! I showed them I paper printout that proved I had an appointment, and nothing! So what's the deal? you have an appointment and you still have to wait along with all those that didn't have one? This is not the only time the systems were down, there's been numerous times, so annoying!! Then you are allowed to go downstairs to check in, and still there's a long wait, even with an appointment, what's the deal?? Ugh!! I'm going elsewhere. read more
