This location is convenient and had plenty of parking. The wait was the problem, even with an apartment. There was a line to check in with the "Express kiosk" and no one to assist. Although there was two check in kiosks, some of the people did not know what to do. I had to wait for the person in front of me who needed help with the process with no one available to answer questions. They should not overbook the appointments and or place other walk ins on the bottom of the list when they are super busy. Not sure if I will come back to this location again. The system says it will text you when ready but I didn't even receive a confirmation text upon arrival. This system needs to be changed, you should get some kind of confirmation once you check in, then at least you know if you are in the queue. read more

I'd give zero stars. Sanialy the front desk rep unfortunately does not know how to do her job. This is my second time I've been here she has taken others before me. I faxed my documents prior to arrival and they trashed it. I had to call the office to fax it again, she made me last in line for something I was not at fault with. My first visit she had me waiting for more than an hr and didn't tell me that drug screening were only after 11 am. Only reason I knew that was because I overheard her saying that to another patient. So this was an awesome experience...a round of applause for lab corp. As someone who works in the healthcare industry, Im very observant and particular about professionalism in any medical office... and this office absolutely hit the mark. I literally walked in 3 mins before closing time to have my blood drawn for my annual employee health screening, and they still graciously took me. I was more than grateful that they accommodated me, especially after I was turned away last minute (...and with an appointment) by another lab-draw establishment because they didn't have the equipment to process my lab order (like really??). BTW, this previous place didn't even offer an apology or any disclaimer about not being able to perform certain labs. I was in and out of lab corp in literally less than 10mins. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and efficient in getting me set up. I have been coming to the Diamond Ave location for more than a year now. I have been disappointed with every visit in some way. Whether that be long wait time despite having an appointment or truly incompetent phlebotomists who couldn't find a vein despite multiple attempts. The result being the calling of a supervisor who always finds the vein immediately. Is this a training facility for new student phlebotomists? I don't like being a guinea pig for training. I have run into snarly front desk people. And the other thing that seems peculiar is that this location seems to have a problem keeping good people. Never the same people twice. Today I decided I would try another nearby Labcorp on Observatory Drive in Germantown. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! The lobby was crowded like the MVA but there was no chaos like you might expect. The receptionist was efficient and friendly and fostered an atmosphere of calmness. I made an appointment for 10am and was seen by the phlebotomist at 10:20am. His office was clean and he drew my blood quickly and painlessly. Although, I would say his and the other phlebotomist's appearances were quite casual considering the professionalism of their job. Also the bathroom sink was broken and there was no hand sanitizer. I was in the area and needed a quick PT/INR blood draw at 10am. So i looked up Labcorp in the area and this location was rated well, so I headed over for a walk-in, and I'm glad that I did. Labcorp locations tend to be hit-or-miss, but this location was clean, quick and everyone I came into contact with was extremely pleasant and the actual blood draw was done very well. A++ read more

I hate getting my blood drawn but my experience here was so pleasant! The gentleman running the front desk was kind and quickly signed me in. He was also the one to draw my blood and was extremely nice and gentle and made the process very quick and painless. Ok so I kind of don't even want to review this little gem of a Labcorp hidden away in Gaithersburg...because the more people who know about their awesomeness, the busier they may become. But they need to be recognized for their amazing service! They are fast! They are friendly! They are funny! I HATE having labs drawn and they funny part really helps me get through it without being tempted to run out the door. The check in process is automated and easy. It's clean and did I say fast? It's never taken more than 20 minutes from start to finish, even without an appointment (which you can make online). I recommend this place without a single hesitation. read more

I had an appointment for 11:45 and arrived on time, checked in at the kiosk. They called my name about 15 minutes later and took my copay and orders. When it was past 12:30, I had to go back to work. I tried to tell them to reschedule, but nobody would acknowledge my presence. Had to walk out to get back to my meeting. When you have an appointment, you expect to be seen then, otherwise, why not just walk in? read more

I've been to a few Lab corps before and honestly never experienced such ease as I did at this location. The gentleman behind the desk was kind and welcoming. Luckily I came at the perfect time and didn't have to wait and was taken right back. He directed me on what to do and how to do it and wam bam thank you mam I was on my way. Literally within maybe 15 minutes everything was complete. He was very thorough and to the point. The location was clean and I have no complaints. I would definitely recommend. I had a great experience with the young lady at the desk who was very patient and understanding when my lab order was not sent over. However, my son saw a tech to get lab work and she could not locate a vein. In the middle of the scheduled appointment, she was pulled to take another patient for lab draw. We were told to wait in the hall until she finished the other pt. Another tech was able to locate the vein and draw with no issues. Not professional! read more

After reading lots of bad reviews about the various lab corps in the area, to my dismay the only one without bad reviews was this one with no reviews. So I figured I'd be a guinea pig (pun intended) and let them extract a blood sample for testing regardless the lack of reviews. You only live once right? 3:00 on a Wednesday, I am the only patient. The office is temperate, clean, and the gentleman behind reception was very friendly. After he processed my info he sent me back to the draw room and met me there 30 seconds later. He washed his hands, sterilized my arm. It took him a split second to find my vein and within one minute I was done and walking out the door by 3:10 Wham bam thanks for taking my blood man! read more

Had to go to there several times in one day; first they claimed the orders were not faxed to them. After several calls in which the doctor's office stated they faxed the order at 8:30 am, the doctor's officed faxed it over again. Also needed sample cups; were refused to be given any unless the doctor faxed over an order for them. Intake staff somewhat incompetent and boarderline rude. There are better labs in the area to use. read more

Never go there; the worst lab ever. To start, in spite of an appointment I waited for 50 minutes, I think my paperwork was lost b/c when I asked the man at the front desk he frantically looked for it. In spite of the door sign saying only 10 people, the waiting room was very crowded with more than 10 and chairs being right next to each other. When this was brought to his attention, the man at the front desk said there was nothing he could do. The restroom was filthy, a dirty floor with urine on it and no soap. The only reason I am giving it one star is for the painless blood draw from the phlebotomist. Not a place to go at these times or anytime. read more

Showed up here to get a preemployment drug screen and quantiferon. I called Day before to make sure it was okay to get them both done. Come to find out they "ran out" of quantiferon collection tubes. Are you kidding me!!! Had to race to another facility and wait in long line again. Completely ridiculous, a lab should never run out of collection devices. If that typically happens, they should have told me to call an hour prior! read more

I visited this location a few years ago for the first time, admittedly after reading several positive Yelp reviews. I have since returned twice, and each time, it has lived up to its ratings. Booking appointments online is quick and easy. Check in is a breeze--now all you have to do when you get there is just scan your ID. Wait times are virtually non-existent (if you have an appointment and show up on time). But most importantly, the staff who works in the lab is great. Each time, I have felt calm, comfortable, and at ease. I have never experienced pain or bruising outside of what is normal, and I have some tricky veins. I'll continue to return to this location in the future. read more

I have been going to this particular LabCorp on Shady Grove Road for over a year for a repetitive blood test and things have been fine. I was in on April 13 for some bloodwork. This is after the CDC recommended wearing masks in indoor places and the same day that the Montgomery County Mandate to wear masks in public places took effect. The phlebotomist who checked me in, took my id and took my insurance card didn't wear gloves or a mask and there was no sanitizer in site. She was behind a desk but it was well within 6 feet and I we were passing my cards back and forth. The same person took my blood. At the very last minute she put on gloves and a mask. I asked why she only wore a mask at the last minute and she explained that it's only required with patients (even though I was still a patient when she checked me in). She said the staff doesn't need to wear masks internally because they all know they are "OK." After that she dropping the tape on the floor and then proceeding to use that same tape on my arm. Come on LabCorp...my grocery store is more respectful of the need for containing this virus than your medical facility. After seeing this lax protocol during a health pandemic, I am not feeling comfortable about the attention to sanitation during normal times. I will find a new lab. read more

This office is wonderful and I am a very hard stick. They always do a good job most of the time its a wait but its worth it. They are friendly and do a GREAT job. The lab I prefer to go to always. They had a new guy and he was friendly and did a good job didn't even feel it when he stuck me. read more

Have been using this Lab Corp office since it opened, and have always had a great experience, particularly, when I have an appointment. They are prompt and very professional. The past few visits, Eric, has been been the attending technician. He has done a great job, by being quick and polite. I would recommend this office and especially Eric. read more

I have a one year old son who required blood work. I checked in via the kiosk area and waited for a text in the car to prevent my one year old being in the waiting room. I received a text that I was up. The waiting room had a sign of no more than 10 people allowed yet, there was more than 10 people in a small waiting room. The lady took a substantial amount of time entering information off my sons blood work paper. Which I typically would not care if my son was not one years old with no mask in an area that is going against safety protocols. There was only two hand sanitizer machines in the waiting room and one was missing the sanitizer insert. There was no clean/dirty pen holders. The lady gave me her pen to sign my receipt... This institution needs a reevaluation and reported to health department. We were taken back where I saw dust around the sink area. The area was not cleaned which was unacceptable especially during COVID. The lady wrapped the blue band around my one year olds arm (which later saw it was so tight it broke his skin). My husband even asked her if it was too tight, she said no and then he asked if she was experienced with babies, she said she was. Clearly, she was not as she injected the needle into his arm twice and then moved the needle SIDE BY SIDE! That is not what a nurse does period.... My husband demanded her to take the needle out. She did and we left. We will not be returning to this institution. read more

I've been coming to this location for several years now. Even though I've moved further south and it's out of my way to work or home, I still continue to come here to get bloodwork done rather than Labcorp or Labquest. This location is always clean and tidy. The technicians are always friendly and professional. My favorite tech is Lolly, I adore her. She knows I get anxiety with needles so she's always been kind to me when I get bloodwork done. She's one of the rare few who get a blood sample with one try! I had been to other Lab Corp locations and even with an appointment I had to wait a long time to be seen. I was in and out in 10 minutes...And there is free parking right out front. By far the best place to go to for any lab work done! I was at the doctors the day before and they had pricked me multiple times to get a blood sample. My veins are very difficult to draw from. The were going to draw from my hands until I refused and said I'll have labcorp send results over. Made an appointment online. Checked in 5 minutes before my appointment and the phleb saw me almost instantly. He kept me laughing and took my nerves away. And drew blood pretty much on first try. Waiting room is pretty clean too compares to other places. Definitely come here if you have difficult small veins! read more
