We were flat-out refused service because we couldn't pay upfront. No attempt to help, no willingness to bill, no discussion of options -- just "no payment, no service." That was it. No empathy, no humanity, nothing. This is healthcare. Or at least it's supposed to be. But what we experienced was the complete opposite. In a moment where kindness could have made a difference, ARA chose cruelty. It is deeply disturbing that a facility entrusted with patient care operates this way. People are not just accounts or dollar signs -- especially when they are disabled and grieving. If you are looking for compassionate care, do not go here. Though she is non-verbal, they thoughtfully changed the TV channel to something entertaining for her. I was so impressed by the care, concern, and compassion they showed my granddaughter.
