Drove here after fasting all day, after trying to go to the RSM location (which was closer to my home), but the RSM location no longer exists! So I get to the Laguna location around 3pm, and there's a line out the door just to SIGN IN! Two separate clipboards, one for appointments, one without. Of course there were at LEAST twenty people already waiting, so there was no way I could make it to my next appointment, so I left, but not before... I asked the lady at the counter if she could validate my parking, and again, of course, she said they don't do that anymore. With ALL the people waiting, in addition to the lab fees, I would've probably had to pay $50 just for parking! This company needs a major makeover! I asked the lady when they closed the RSM location, she couldn't say for sure, but guessed 1-2 months ago. I told her it's still on the website and offers appointments, it really should be taken off the website. She was like, "okay, thank you." Niceeee response. I felt badly for all the elderly patients sitting there with their walkers and canes. That's wayyyy too long to make them sit. It's totally like the DMV! No one seems in any rush to help anyone. Just wait your turn ..wait... wait... wait... until you pass out from waiting so long while you're fasting! Oh, and to book an appointment, you have to do so weeks or a month in advance! Who can do that if your doc wants your results ASAP? Sighhhhh... Lab Corp, what happened to making the awful experience of getting poked with a needle better? You really need to streamline your check in process, hire more phlebotomists, and at least try to make an effort to show empathy for the waiting process, especially for those with serious medical conditions and the elderly. I forgot how impacted and slow this location is. I never do blood tests here but my MD chose a labcorp by mistake and I searched the closest one, and sadly, this was it. I made an appointment - showed up fasting and there are easily 20 people waiting no sure what the point of an appt is. One staff member is very delightful- the others seem busy and overworked. I understand that I'm a hard draw, but someone that gets blood drawn weekly for the past 4 months I've had all sorts of people who are more experienced than others drawing me. All sorts of people that "think" they can get me in places that I tell them doesn't work. At this point I pretty much know which places work and which places don't on me. But It's the holidays so I'm not going to go in on this place to much, all I have to say is I hate getting poked and I don't like when a needle is being jabbed and dug into my arm. And that I'd rather stick to my normal labCorp and I'll never venture to another one again. Oh and because I didn't want to get poked again by anyone at this location I chose to leave and wait till I could go to my usual location. read more

This is my 2nd time here. The first time was not so good, the lady who took my blood sounded mad and she left me with a big bruise on my arm. This 2nd time around I was reluctant to comeback because of my first experience. But it actually went way better. I got there on a Monday at 6:40 am, the website says they open at 7:00, but when I got there, a sign on the door says open at 6:45 am. So I was basically 5 minutes early. BUT ---- there were already 30 people in line ahead of me. The line wait to sign in was long, maybe 30 minutes because a lot of people are slow and clueless and ask questions while signing in. But once I signed in, I only waited about 10 minutes to get my blood drawn. I didn't even have an appointment. And it was practically painless. So they get a 4 star rating from me. TIPS: *** Get there early *** Bring your paperwork, bring your blood work order printed and hand it to them --- people get turned away because they can't find their order on the computer. Having your paperwork with you makes the transaction and communication smoother. *** Get your insurance card and payment ready, don't be slow and don't be dumb. You know what they need so just get it all ready for a faster service. read more

They were extremely nice to me, I came in without an appointment on a Friday at 11am, and they took me and I was not able to pee and they waited overtime on their lunch break for me to be able to pee and were very nice about it during the process. Bless these people! read more

After reading the reviews I was quite apprehensive for my visit, but it went problem free. I made an appointment online for 1145 and got there five minutes early (leave time to navigate the complex parking situation). There were two people ahead of me in a line to check in with the receptionist. The receptionist was attentive and courteous as she quickly copied my insurance card. After five minutes, my name was called. The blood drawer (phlebotomist?) again was courteous and efficient. She verified my contact information, took the vials and I was out of there by noon. Tips: leave time for parking; make an appointment online; check with your doctor to make sure you are fasting if necessary (ie lipids test - saw someone almost turned away for not fasting) read more

I strongly recommend an appointment if possible. It took almost 4 weeks to get the appointment because we were fasting and wanted early morning but we were in and out of there in 15 minutes. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the technician was friendly and competent. read more

For some reason, they changed locations to a much smaller office in the same building. The new office is cramped and has very little seating. Patients are now waiting in the corridor. Walk-ins are no longer welcome. If you have an appointment, you wait one hour or more. Why would they do such a stupid thing? Many of their patients are older and infirmed....now they are forced to stand in the corridor. That is a horrible way to treat your patients. It's also rude and inconvenient to nearby tenants. What is Labcorp thinking? Successful businesses expand and improve services. Dying companies take things away and make their customers miserable. read more

Lot of people, one person in front desk, i came for my glucosa test and they couldn't find the test request that my Dr sent over 2 weeks ago. I have to wait until my dr office open to call them. They have a big file of faxes, the girl look very quick but with lot of people waiting is easier just said "call ur doctor". read more

I can't believe I would agree with the other posts. I got called in pretty fast without an appointment so that was a star. They have water, another star. But - It hurt so much I actually screamed ouch!!! And Only one of the ladies there actually seemed happy to be there. The rest had an upset face. In December I had an appointment and even after going to the desk several times was taken close to an hour after my scheduled time. At that time, I called the manager, who asked me to give them another chance. Last week, I had an appointment at 11:15 on Monday morning. At 11:30, I went to the desk and was told that there was one appointment ahead of me. The young woman then called the 11:00 appointment. At 11:45, I went to the desk and spoke to a young man who told me there were 16 people ahead of me. I exclaimed that can't be...I had an appointment at 11:15. He went to the other clerk, who checked me in. She said all there appointments weren't showing up. I called the supervisor, who said she'd get back to me. I saw me PCP on Thursday to find out that the lab did a blood panel instead of a lipid panel. I again called the supervisor. To date I have heard nothing. This is the worst lab in the area. I will drive to another lab from now on. They just really don't care...and clearly don't learn or change their practices when criticized. read more

Every time I go to LabCorp in Laguna Woods, I remember how bad my previous visit to this location was while seating in the waiting room, but today was the worst. I was there for a drug screen required by my new employer. For the first 20 minutes I watched everyone who was in the room to be passed ahead of me after I checked in. During the next 20 minutes I watched everyone who walked in be passed ahead of me too. I went to the counter 3 times and told the staff I was having problems holding urine for too long, yet she made wait another 15 minutes after that. I was told there was only one restroom to collect the samples, but after waiting in the hallway I realized that was a lie. They put me in another restroom that had been available all my torturous wait. I'll never use that lab again. read more

My experience today here was beyond the pale. I have been upset over this all day. The phlalebotomist acted as if it were MY fault for the vein not easily being usable for the drawing of my blood. After multiple pokes and a blood-curdling scream from intense pain, I was shamed by the staff and told that I was scaring the other patients. Seriously??? I felt bullied, also, when I requested the staff to not use my hands as an alternative to find a vein due to my needing to use them for work later. I was angrily told that I was now "limiting their options." The only woman there who treated me with empathy and basic kindness was a staff member named Hina. Otherwise, I left feeling humiliated, bullied, misunderstood, and I was literally in tears. I live in Laguna Woods but unfortunately will go to another further away LabCorp than ever face such a miserable scene again. Shame on them. read more

First visit, first impression was sort of like a visit to DMV. Lots of people waiting, self check-in. Had to ask at front desk if I was supposed to get in line or take a seat. I took a seat, waited about 25 minutes to get called. Guy at front desk was really nice and took me right in when he found I had made an appointment. Young female lab technician was very unfriendly, no smile, no instructions. I felt like she expected me to know the procedure. After drawing blood and I told her I had not been able to leave a urine sample, she said "well you could have told me that before I drew blood" in a very rude way. I told her I had shared that information with the front desk. She told me to wait, came back, gave me a sample kit to take home, again with no instruction. The overall impression of the staff is one of casual indifference, not at all professional. Not what I would call an altogether pleasant experience. Shame. People are naturally nervous about getting poked with a needle and medical personnel in all capacities need to be trained to be aware of that and at least present a cordial appearance. It's their job. If they're unable to be encouraging, maybe they're in the wrong line of work. read more

I had an appointment at 1:45 for my 98 old grandfather checked in and waited and waited around 2:30 pm I ask the friend desk about the status or this appointment because it's past one hour and my grandfather is getting tired .. she said we are second to be called in for the blood drown because they have to take in first employment patients . I guess a 98 yer old could easily pass out in their office and they won't care . Staff does not even acknowledge the patients waiting their are all chitchatting with the man that brings out uniforms for cleaning all joking around and patients waiting . This place needs some serious help! Go ahead make your appointment for a fasting blood test and show up 20 minutes before your appointment only to find out that you can't get in the appointment line but must wait in line with all the non appointment walkins to sign in. Oh.. Did I mention that line is out the door? End of story...we get to the head of the line at 9:20, get signed in and still have to wait another 20 minutes to get the blood draw. Came in today along with about fifteen other people who woke up and arrived to the facility before 7am. We arrive to a sign on the window saying effective 8/28/17 Saturdays are appointment only. We looked on their website and it says walk ins welcome. There were elderly patients along with young kids all turned away. We waited to see if we could get an appointment and were advised you had to call an 800 number or go online . Both said no appointments available. There were about four staff members and three people without appointments while we waited and NOT ONE person there with an appointment. They could have at least bent the rules and helped those three people instead they did nothing. read more

Arrived at this lab at 1:10pm for a blood draw. Disorganized when registering, lacking patience. Asked my phone number 2 times by 2 different people at 2 different times. My name was called twice but no one knew who called it. The third time that my name was called (1:52 pm) I was led to the back room (blood draw chairs) and a chair was pointed to (I guess I was supposed to sit). I am alone with one other patient sitting next to me. 203pm. Blood drawn. Lovely lady, no name badge. Great draw no pain. I only saw 2 people drawing blood and inquired. 3 people are at lunch- what? With a full lobby waiting? Then given a cup for urine and told to place it on a shelf and I am finished. $2 for parking ($1 for ea 30 min). 2:25 pm and I am on my way. Not the most efficient place I have been. Lots of employees moseying around...no smiles. read more

He is happy, smiley, pleasant, FASTER THAN IS BELIEVABLE (like 30 seconds for two full vials) and you cannot feel the needle at all! He is gifted, an artiste!!! He used to work in RSM but transferred -- and was so glad to get him again in the Laguna Hills office. Too bad he can't keep a tip jar next to the chair---he'd make big bucks. These people have no idea what customer service is. We got the location from the website and waited outside the door with 20 other people until they opened late. When we went to the counter a woman who was made up like a halloween costume yelled that anyone without an appointment should leave. That included 15 or the 20. We told her that the website said nothing about this requirement. She snarled that it was and that it had been that way for over a year. Those of us who had been here during that time disagreed and that only made her nastier. They handed us a sheet of paper with locations that were supposed to be open. We went to the first one listed and discovered that it opened an hour later than their document said. We waited in a dark hallway with 20 others (many of whom came from the other location after the same treatment) until this one opened. Ridiculous! read more

Not the best experience. I went in and it was all very fast, my doctor never asked me if i was taking any medications which might affect the score my employers receive. It was in and out and she never once spoke to me! Not a good office to go to for these things, should be improved upon. read more

I Attended the Labcorp in Avondale AZ and I took my 3yr old daughter in to get her blood drawn, the nurse was such in a hurry to end her day she dug the needle in her little arm and my daughter jumped and the nurse begun to scold me on how i was holding her down my incorrectly, when i was never instructed to begin with. She continued to dig the needle and blood began to go down her little arm and she even got blood on me, she continued to scold me that it was my fault and that next time if i didn't hold her down correctly that it will possibly scar, with no remorse nor empathy. I was so devastated by this nurses treatment, that i assure you there will not be a next time at this facility. read more

Last week I had LabCorp draw blood for a routine blood test. Arrived 6:45 AM amid a long line, which makes sense since most had to fast including me. Was called into the lab at 7:30 and was met by Oliver who was quick, efficient, and as painless as possible. In the next chair over was a school-age girl with her dad. I was expecting screams of agony but was pleased and amazed how Oliver mastered the art of distraction. His manner, chatter, and skill allowed him to draw blood from the girl with no pain, no crying, and no drama. When it was my turn, I felt a slight pinch but it was not painful. If there was such a thing as Phlebotomist of the Year, I would happily nominate Oliver. Was done 7:45. I've been going to LabCorp for many years and am happy to award them 5 Stars for their consistently good work. read more

There would have been fewer stars but the staff was great. They were very kind and patient. They all wanted to do a good job. But the layout of the facility and the awkward processes set up by 'others' interfered with a good experience. In other words, the poor experience was a systems failure - NOT - the failure of the people who were helping patients. So sad to see. read more

If therte was a star lees than one, I would use it. I checked in as a walk-in at 11:14 on Tues. 4/2/2009. I asked the counter girl how long of a wait. I was told about 45 Minutes. (could be the answer they give every one). The waiting room was filled and every seat occupied. I got up to use the restroom after waiting a half hour and you can see the chairs the phlbotomist's use from the restroom. I was shocked to see one person at work. Periodically another woman would take a person bqack and i could hear by the conversation , that one was doing "pre employment drug tests, nothing to do with drawing blood . After waiting until 12:40 I got up and asked the desk girl for my papaerwork back, I'm tired of waiting. Especially seeing there was at times no employee doing any blood testing. The room was literally empty in spite of a waiting room full of people thinking they are going to be served. I went home and made an appointment for Wednesday at 2:45. I arrived on time and even though I had an appointment, I waited until 3:20 to see the technician. AGAIN I went to the restroom and saw NO ONE working in the main room. I was astonished to see not one person doing blood tests. Not ONE person working despite the fact the waiting room had several patients waiting. I am going to write a lettert to corporate offices in N.C and tell them they have a gigantic problem in Laguna Hills. read more
